cfc
^ i'm pretty sure he got hit by that ball just a split second before it was taken.. sorry chuck, did not notice Either that, or TPDave had just farted. Hanno, I saw quite a few things in your photos that I never noticed while I was there.
dj snow
Thanks for sharing these pics Hanno! I love reading everyone's thoughts on that day. City Museum is truly one of a kind, and one of my favorite places anywhere.
krazekiddd
Awesome Hanno! I wish there were more places like this in the US. 1 - I can't believe I survived 2 - Great shot of me tumbling down the slide!
Hhappy
Absolutely amazing report! I was having way to much fun trying all the insane things to do at the Museum to capture all the fun. And too bad no one actually has the epic crash of Derek and I on the hamster wheel, it was incredibly effed up! I like how he was bleeding and I came away unscathed. Once again fantastic photos! Can't wait to see more Hanno. I do have footage of it (i think).. i just need to get some software installed and figure out how to get it working to make a nice "clip" Awesome Hanno! I wish there were more places like this in the US. 1 - I can't believe I survived 2 - Great shot of me tumbling down the slide! i have another image of that tumble.. just wasn't sure yet if i should post it.. now i know.. TPDave
Ha! Amazing update Hanno!! I love that you caught my master plan to get someone to attack Lou, it worked perfectly EI can't get across how fun City Museum was, I basically just reverted to being (even more of) a child for three hours and I sooo want to do t again soon Dave
saginawhxc
This update just reminded me that I lost ALL of my City Museum pictures when I lost my camera later that same trip. Being there with TPR in 110 degree weather was amazing and I'm pretty sure I almost died. Thank you for posting this. This possibly made my day. Mike Austin
All I really remember from this day is heat, sweat and screwed-up metal climbing structures! If it weren't for Elissa and Robb selling the bottles of water, I think I would have fainted! Crazy day!
Dan
Even though I'm failing miserably, I just look so happy and so does Dan taking joy in my misery!!!! Mwah? Taking pleasure in your misery?? Monte Blanc Tunnel watch your speed BP I lost my rail pass BUFFFFFFET!! You've had some pretty epic falls in the past... our first visit to Farup comes to mind! But The City Museum was just PURE UNADULTERATED FUN. I cannot think of any other words to describe it. And what's frightening is Hanno's photos probably only captured about half of that place!! Great TR, Señor Hanno!
odene497
God this place was incredible. I'd probably rather go back there than like half of the parks on the trip! Just the most screwed up place ever. It's like as soon as you walk in you simply can't take it all in and just run around screaming. At least that's pretty much what I did. These pictures are excellent! Definitely have to return someday...
krazekiddd
^I just don't think I could go back with my regular friends... I'd have to go with TPR peeps to the City Museum. I miss it.
KCForce
I had never heard of City Museum until I saw it on the original trip report several weeks ago. We live in KC and have season passes to SFSL and went to go to SFSL October 9th. I had reservations about going on a Saturday. It was very crowded and we got one ride on EK (20 minute wait) and Mr. Freeze (30 minute wait). I'm spoiled, I admit it. We usually go on weekdays when it's not busy and wait maybe 5 minutes for most things or walk on. I suggested we go instead to City Museum. This place is off the hook crazy and fun. We're 43 and 42 and we had one of the BEST times ever. There were a lot of people there, but you didn't have to really wait to do anything. We also got the roof pass (it's 5 something dollars extra) and totally worth it. What I want to know is WHO broke the rope swing on the roof? (and by WHO I'm convinced it happened when the TPR group passed through. A staffer said it happened about 2 or 3 weeks before, which if I did my math correctly places you all there. ) I'm terrified of heights - go figure, I'll ride a 400 ft tall coaster. I went through the entire Monstro City outside, it was by far the most terrifying, yet fun thing I think I've ever done non-coaster wise. I freaked quite a bit going through the highest point out there. And the bus off the roof was unsettling, but cool too. The Cave Slide is fun, but the "Praying Mantis" slide on the roof is my favorite. It goes so much faster than any of the others. Seriously, if you go to St. Louis, there are 3 things to do if you haven't been before: Six Flags, The Gateway Arch and City Museum! Don't miss it. Thanks posters for letting me know about this treasure. Peace! KC
krazekiddd
^Yeah it's pretty amazing. I really wish someone had bubble wrap to put me in for great photos. What I want to know is WHO broke the rope swing on the roof? (and by WHO I'm convinced it happened when the TPR group passed through. A staffer said it happened about 2 or 3 weeks before, which if I did my math correctly places you all there. ) Math is wrong. 2-3 weeks before Oct 9th would still put it a month after we were there. Don't get the wrong impression. We could have easily broken the rope swing with how we were using it, but it was still fully functioning after we left. I can not say the same for the poor soles amongst us who were dumb enough to get on it.
KCForce
^^ Well, yeah, math was never my best subject. Okay, I apologize for accusing you all. But I know secretly you guys had something to do with it.

Hhappy
Update time. Time for another amazing day. Heat index 114 Do i need to add anything to that?? It was hot, like really really hot this day. The result of this heat was a (for me) limited number of pictures. Day 6: Six Flags St. Louis Home to some fun coasters and some painfull/pointless coasters. All in all one very amazing day (especially considering the heat) yeah.. this bus was filled with old people.. ehm.. ok, time to check out the park i see something blue in the distance should have taken a bit of time to ride this.. maybe next time getting ready for the group photo trees and some lovely wood on the other side early mornings.. hmm one of the other woodie in the park... sunshine sometimes makes for some interesting photo ops nice and cool, tour time the car and seats ehm... launch?? looking down the launch track The Boss, but not like the artist getting all the info inside the launch tunnel amazing photo ops quick shot once everybody left ok, everybody pay attention let's get up close and personal with some track yummie hug the track, take pictures and have fun fun, lots and lots of fun looking up.. more structure park maps are always welcome woodie time bottle holder sign, the rest of the story has already been told let's ride turn time happy faces are good faces here they come fail.. zoomed in a bit more a bit of history smile don't you love ERT sessions (h)airtime it's moving (and a (to me) surprisingly fun ride) ehm??? aha surprise hit of the park another spinner (without the water challenge..) this section felt kind of weird or better said very seperate.. water = cool down = good yeah, last one

MisterP
Hey guys, haven't posted in a while. I love that you guys all enjoyed the City Museum so much. We're pretty proud of it here. Not sure if you guys know, but they actually have concerts in the front room where the stuffed sea animals are hanging (outside the caves). Back in June, I saw Fishbone there. It was insane. And they actually had burlesque dancers as an opening act (pasties over their you-know-whats ). It was a great night. The owners of that place are insanely cool and they apparently have been hosting occasional concerts for a few years (I didn't know until this summer). Anyway, good to talk to my TPR friends again. Now I'm off to Six Flags tonight to ride Evel Knievel in the dark...
