carolinacaniac
So I guess the video for Villain would be so you can laugh at you friend for being foolish enough to actually get on the ride? I havn't been on it since 2005, but it killed my legs because of the awful lapbars.
bgwfreak
Considering that Carowinds hasn't gotten a coaster since 2004 and next year it will be the 4th year without a coaster, I'd probably hedge my bet and say it will come here. I'm not being a fanboy, I'm just saying that Carowinds normally gets a coaster every 2-3 years or so and CF seems to really like the park, or at least they gave that impression on the conference calls. Wherever it ends up, I hope to be able to ride it. I've only been on Wicked Twister and would like to ride the other version of the impulse. Maybe they'll run it under the bridge. That would be weird seeing two spikes sticking up from under there. lol

I think it'll come down to a crap shoot. You could make a valid point for about a handful of parks that could have good reason to get Steel Venom. jamesdillaman
Dorney, Carowinds, PKD, MiA, GA, PCW in my opinion all are due for a new coaster. -james dillaman
Dailey Enterprizes
You know I just realized how hard it must be to keep all those parks running. I hope Cedar Fair can handle them all because it isn't exactly a fast food chain is it?
kraxleRIDAH
^ Doesn't Six Flags come to mind? They expanded their property portfolio much too quickly, which resulted in a mess. I have a little bit more faith in Cedar Fair though.

They already got something in 2004. There are alot of other parks that haven't recieved anything in almost 6 years.

coaster05
I love Villian. Every ride I had on it when SF owned it was just a crazy out of control feeling like I imagined woodies during the old days. Now if CF has ruined it I find that to be funny on several levels. They didn't ruin it. Actually, SF let it go to crap in its 3 years of operating under them. CF is actually fixing the flaws and finaly give it some love. Unless CF feels the need to over reward certain parks, which they have done before.
coaster05
Gee how did I know it wasn't CF's fault. That ride ruled under SF ownership. I know CF sure has no clue on what they are doing with the wood at VF or MIA and SF's never owned them.

lapseofreason
~ New food and games (perhaps those little squares on the map where the Monorail was?) When did they take the monorail out?! That sucks!!!
jmicha
They may not be the best at maintaining wooden coasters, but Villain's problems started long before Cedar Fair took over. The biggest problem being the trains. The ride never really tracked well and tore itself apart and was never fixed until now. I'm confident that Cedar Fair will make the ride awesome agian, as Raging Wolf Bobs is an awesome ride after its retracking, even with the G trains. cjeagle35
^If Cedar Fair doesn't invest majorly in Canada's Wonderland, that would be a huge mistake. Toronto is a huge area, and CF definatly could put in more attractions to make the park more profitable.
kraxleRIDAH
Because I live so near "CW" (no more paramounts people!) I really want this coaster well... NOW! Few Reasons... 1. Wonderland has the highest guest attendance I think last year 2. Our major coaster list is very short. All we have are small, compact and short rides. 3.We have like crap load of spaces left in the back (where the lake is) 4. Still no Intamin coaster is in Wonderland (not even a B&M) "All we have are small, compact and short rides" is a reason you're using to convince us that Steel Venom should go there? Steel Venom is the epitome of small, compact, and short rides. Paradox much? Also, I just realized that Canada's Wonderland has one of the top 5 largest roller coaster collections in the world. Unfortunately, all are UNARGUABLY crap, with the possible exception of their "best" ride, which all giggles aside, happens to be an old Arrow Suspended coaster. How's that for the quality vs. quantity argument? And a lot of you guys thought Magic Mountain was the best punchline for that joke...not ONE of Canda's Wonderland's 14 coasters was in Mitch Hawker's Top 150 steel and wood coaster polls. Wonderland is a park that does nothing great, but nothing bad. None of their rides are actually bad with the exception of Tomb Raider. The park is average as can be. The difference is that SFMM is advertised and hyped as a thrill park. PCW is not advertised as such. It's a well run average park, that if developed properly could be a huge hit. And FYI that Arrow suspended is actually pretty damn good. The problem with PCW has always been the lack of competion. Their population base is about 5 million people, and the only real competition is Darien Lake or Marineland. Cedar Point perhaps, but that's 5 hours away. So the park ends up setting attendance records regardless of what gets built.

MIA really needs a coaster. They haven't gotten one since 1999!!!
jmicha
Kidcoaster, I'm not so sure trim brakes would work on Villain. The ride has quite a few spots where any less speed could mean valleying, such as going up into the second turnaround and going up into the third turnaround. It would seem that there isn't anywhere they could place trims without risking a roll back.
FlyingScooter
Maybe they'll just move Villain too. Somebody just back up the truck! Improvements? Bulldoze the ride side, sell the land for an old-age home or assisted living facility, or better yet, another mall and put more water park stuff on the old Animal-side just so it can be open 2-3 months out of every twelve.
