El Dorado has a pale yellow structure and Blue Carriage.

 

I am looking very forward to what new paint-jobs these rides receive, though I hope the Wheel Stays the same colors.

Does anyone know if they will re-theme these flats? I hope they do, it'll look horrible having two new randomly themed flats in the middle of the park.

I certainly hope they keep Americana's current colors but El Dorado definitely needs a different paint scheme for it's structure.

 

Isn't there supposedly going to be a temporary flat installed to take over for balck squid? I thought I remembered hearing about it on another site somewhere.

I'm very happy that Kings Dominion is getting a ferris wheel... it will give the park the "classic" feel that it is really missing.

Glad to see KD getting a new flat and a ferris wheel.

It's been awhile since they have got a new flat.

El Dorado will be going between the Skyflyer and the old entrance to XLC. (wonder will that effect Toxic Plaque)

Americana will go next to the exit of the Rebel Yell ( I believe they took out the 3 pointer game, and I hope they re-do Rebel Yell's exit)

Their talking about a "temporary" ride going where the big empty space is, where XLC sat. (wonder what that can be?)

I'd love to see Rebel Yell's exit get fixed. Walking by that one path by the entrance, then being forced to walk another few minutes the opposite direction has always annoyed the heck out of me. Especially when they used to have forwards and backwards and I'd want to ride both one after the other...

Now that I think of it, I believe I know where Americana will be going. I think it will be going where those trampoline things used to be by the 3-point game, and i'm sure they're taking out the 3-point game as well considering no one ever plays it.

Knowing them, they will probably just relocated it somewhere in the park.

 

 

That will be grrrrreattttt if they make the rebel yell exit shorter. It's obnoxiously long just to have you exit by all of the games that you're just going to walk by half of the time.

Last I heard Americana was going over by rebel yell on the former launch pad site while El Dorado was being placed roughly where hypersonic's launch track was,which leaves plenty of space for the 2010 hyper to be placed in that vicinity of the park.

 

If we're getting a hyper in 2010 I can see it running from where the tower/turn around on hypersonic was right over BRT's course going north towards the front of the park.

Drove by the park yesterday and the Sign said opening day is

Good,I was looking for the schedule on the official site & couldn't find it so thanks for the info.

 

I don't know if I'll go on opening weekend or not as past experiences with opening weekend at SFA hasn't gone very well what with rides being down for maintenance & all.

Spring break isn't going to be until around the third week of April at most schools in Virginia... so I can understand why the opening day for KD is a tad late in the year.

Yeah the park opens late, but training for me starts the 14th of March! Which is kinda messed-up, but at least I'll be getting paid. A lot of schools on the west side of Richmond have Spring Break in March.
