Hhappy
Once again. Regarding the photo's being displayed as attachments to download. Yes this is the case at the moment. These have not been copied over to the new forum yet but once we go live this will be taken care of. Posting new photo's will work.
MG
^ Oh sorry, just found the earlier post mentioning it. I must have missed it when I first went through.
freekeee
They are very "TPR!" I often wish i could use on other forums! Also the flat thing isn't too much of an issue, I often find that things look odd for a while when a forum gets a new build, but its forgotten about after a few days use. Reality15
It's much easier to look at, both on my laptop and HDTV desktop. I would add a bit more padding here and there, for example under "Moderators: dsfasdflkasdjf" and to the left of the category title. You might also want to consider making the font a bit larger for those of us using the HD displays, or at least an option to change it and make it larger (similar to phpBB's default skin, I believe)

MG
Hi my new point is just a matter of administration really. In the disclaimer at the bottom of the page you mention parks concerned. None of Legoland, Tussaud's Group, Paramount Parks or Busch Entertainment exist as individual entities any more. Sorry, nitpicking I know, but it was just something I noticed. mcjaco
Guys and gals, screen caps of these visual issues would be a great way to help Hanno and Robb really understand what you're trying to explain. Even text issues, like for the disclaimer. The more you help, the easier this rollout will be!
Skycoastin Steve
I definitely like how spread out the new format is horizontally, it makes it easier to browse through the topics when they aren't as bunched up. And even though I have good eyes, I like how the font is a little bigger for the topic titles (makes it easier to see for everyone).
darklingscribe
The first thing I noticed when perusing the new forums is that the thread locked symbol is kind of hard to see. The Icon that the padlock is placed in front of overwhelms it. Is it possible to keep it the way it is now, where the Padlock replaces the icon? kidcoaster 2
Can you have an option where users can choose between the old format and the new format? Because I don't like the new style.
coaster1000
^^ & ^^^ Screen shots and browser information, please! This really helps us a lot so we can see what you are seeing! Also, have you thought about updating the smilies? No, sorry. I love the smilies and they are based off of one of my favorite video games - Taiko No Tatsujin. They were custom made for TPR and they will not be changed! They are very "TPR!" Always thought that these were a bit clumsy to use! What about the forums are clumsy? Please explain. See, comments like these aren't useful to us at all. You can't just make a very general comment and then expect us to be able to read your mind and fix what you don't like. You need to tell us what it is you don't like and then FOLLOW UP WITH EXAMPLES so we can better understand what the problem is you are having. We want to make the forum and the site better, but comments like "the forums are clumsy" don't help us improve the site at all. --Robb Sorry! I mean that there's many small, but annoying things about them. For instance the fact that the "New Topic"-button was right next to "Post Reply" in the old forums. I would also be really happy to see some sort of "Save Draft" function when making replies. I've lost many good posts with lots of attachements this way! And this may just be me being nit-picky, but could you somehow change the html-code function when making texts? I am getting used to it, but if it could be like Word or something, where the actual look of the text shows up in the comment box it would be GREAT! Oh yeah, I really hope to see the "Preview" button thing with photos showing up in the wrong order fixed, too - that would save lots of time to us who post photos! Lastly, finding your way round in your profile is annoying. That could be done much easier, (think Facebook!) It's especially when editing my profile it annoys me. I'm sorry, but I don't know how to say it more precisely. It's something about the tabs in the top of your profile that seems un-logic and somehow to... complex? Hope that helped! Hhappy
^^Please let us know what you don't like about the new style and give examples of things you don't like. The new style/forum is supposed to look as much as possible like the current one.. but some things will change.. and no. The old format is not compatible with the new one.. so giving the choice between these 2 is not an option
CoasterLine
A few things I would suggest... - 1-pixel border around avatars... I always think it looks cleaner when avatars have borders to them, it keeps things less "random" looking to me. - Increase text size of user names on the post... Right now, the user names are set at what looks like 10pt font, along with the rest of the information. I think that it would look better, and more easily decipherable if it were made larger. This is working/fixed at the moment. There should also be a save option as well.... and once again.. a picture says more then a thousand words.. so please PLEASE post pictures with the requests/comments you make
RCFreak
So something that has been bugging me, and I don't know if it's something on my end or your end, but the Main text seems to look a bit harsher (not as smooth with the white font) in the new site then what I can see on this old on. Please see attached image. the old site is to the left and the new one is to the right, it's only slightly different and something I can get used to, but it just looks "off" to me. I'm using Opera 10.10 on Windows 7 at 1366 X 768 resolution. Old to the left, new to the right. The image was taken using both windows at half screen hence the squish of the old. CoasterLine
^ The "harshness" would be from switching the font from Verdana to Trebuchet MS, which isn't smoothed as nicely using ClearType.

CoasterLine
Should be easily switched in the themes .css file.
Mr. Starr
Maybe more subtle colors for the calender boxes, the black just looks strange against the gray. Also the date numbers could be slightly larger.
robbalvey
Can you have an option where users can choose between the old format and the new format? Because I don't like the new style. I know Hanno has already addressed this, but I wanted to add my comments as well.... I have put off doing the switch over to the new version of the forum for a very long time because I personally HATE change! Especially "change for the sake of change" and in this case we really had no choice. The company that wrote the forum software stopped supporting the old forum (our current version) in Feb of 2009 so at some point we were going to HAVE to switch over to the new upgrade. I've been spending a lot of time with Hanno and Wes going through the process to make the new forum look as close as possible to the old forum. There are going to be some differences though, as well as quite a few improvements, and I think there will also be a few things that we'll just have to get used to. It's not possible to run both templates at the same time because they are actually both very different structures and use a different database set up. So having an option to use the old style is just not possible. As much as I would like to offer it (and personally use it myself), it's just not possible. --Robb

DenDen
-The "You message has been posted" confirmation is kinda an extra step that isn't needed. And it also has an error. Viewed on a Win7 Netbook. You have a JS error, assuming it's the jump after "Your message has been posted" screen.
