Chance Morgan has released a video of one of their first tests of their latest product, the Unicoaster.

I refuse to call it a coaster, but holy crap, it looks like soooo much fun.

My wife really wants to ride it, but I can't even watch the video without getting nauseas. But, definitely not even close to a coaster. Ok, so it does have coaster seats, but come on. Thanks for the video update though!

That looks super fun. I wish Chance would do a Zipper (or Turbo!) "re-release", though...I miss those guys, and this ride gives me a pang of nostalgia.

There are a lot of flats out there that honestly look like this, only less streamlined and.... flashy.

 

Looks like fun and I would definitely want a ride on it.

 

But - no - not a coaster in my humble opinion.

Not sure if this was posted yet, but Chance has the Unicoaster 2.0 animation out. Screamscape had an update today. The flat ride on a full closed circuit track, looks pretty cool. Of course I'm sure that wheel will be covered up to avoid losing an arm or hand here or there.

Just flip it? Double the track and the big wheel to give both sides the ability to control the flip?

You weren't clear if you meant both sides of the track rather than both sides of the gondola, my bad

It really all depends on how much space all of the drive motor stuff takes. It looks like that unit that runs on the track would have motors for both the forward motion and the controlled flipping.

I think the version (and layout) they're showing in the video, is great!

Individual two-seaters, wheeling and spinning along...I love it!

 

And that angled track curving to the left... impressive!
