lankanboy101 Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Why does it remind me of those Japanese death traps I see in the Trip Reports? The Looper at Nagashima Spaland
jedimaster1227 Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Chance Morgan has released a video of one of their first tests of their latest product, the Unicoaster.
CorkscrewFoley Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 I refuse to call it a coaster, but holy crap, it looks like soooo much fun.
jray21 Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 My wife really wants to ride it, but I can't even watch the video without getting nauseas. But, definitely not even close to a coaster. Ok, so it does have coaster seats, but come on. Thanks for the video update though!
Pyro Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Wow, does anyone know how much money those are? I now know what to ask for for Christmas! Really though.... I want one... I will get one...
DCody Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 That looks super fun. I wish Chance would do a Zipper (or Turbo!) "re-release", though...I miss those guys, and this ride gives me a pang of nostalgia. (/oldskool)
cfc Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Looks like a Zac Spin and a Himalaya had a baby. They should call it the "Spinalaya."
Nrthwnd Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 But - a coaster? There are a lot of flats out there that honestly look like this, only less streamlined and.... flashy. Looks like fun and I would definitely want a ride on it. But - no - not a coaster in my humble opinion. (Chuck, Spin-A-Laya sounds soooooooo nasty cool! That would get 'em lined up, lol.)
chemical_echo Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 This isn't a coaster; this is just their unicoaster flat ride. This is their Unicoaster
themeparkologist Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Is this like a European-self operated-death trap bird cage, but it goes in a circle?
FLIPDUDE Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 This isn't a coaster; this is just their unicoaster flat ride. This is their Unicoaster Wow, okay, that's definately interesting, to say the least.
rollin_n_coastin Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Not sure if this was posted yet, but Chance has the Unicoaster 2.0 animation out. Screamscape had an update today. The flat ride on a full closed circuit track, looks pretty cool. Of course I'm sure that wheel will be covered up to avoid losing an arm or hand here or there. https://youtu.be/nMhY-JbKsaU https://youtu.be/nMhY-JbKsaU
grsupercity Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Looks sick! I love chance rides. I wonder if they could put a seat on both sides to double capacity?
Rill'o'beily Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Looks sick! I love chance rides. I wonder if they could put a seat on both sides to double capacity? otherwise yes, but how would that work considering the passengers control the flipping

Double the track and the big wheel to give both sides the ability to control the flip?
Rill'o'beily Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Just flip it? Double the track and the big wheel to give both sides the ability to control the flip? Oh You weren't clear if you meant both sides of the track rather than both sides of the gondola, my bad
A.J. Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 It really all depends on how much space all of the drive motor stuff takes. It looks like that unit that runs on the track would have motors for both the forward motion and the controlled flipping.
Nrthwnd Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 I think the version (and layout) they're showing in the video, is great! Individual two-seaters, wheeling and spinning along...I love it! And that angled track curving to the left... impressive!
