Steelinwood
That coaster looks amazing, especially with only a small restraint. What does it feel like to take those turns? It sort of seems like a balance of tameness and intensity!
Hhappy
After the visit to Skara Sommarland it was time to drive to Stockholm, check out the "World's Largest Ikea" and for myself a quick stop at MediaMarkt for a new camera lens (after destroying the original one earlier in the trip). Â After all that (and a little relaxing time) it was time to get moving again. Â Time for Day 10 part 2.. First couple of hours at Grona Lund. Â Included would be the first experience with Insane.. a ride which looks pretty basic from the ground.. but riding and enjoying it.. testing it.. and having a blast on it dit prove one thing. The name Insane.. is totally correct. This was one Insane ride. Â I do hope this first set of pictures will also give you a nice impression of this beautiful waterfront place. And yes.. i totally want to go back there (the sooner the better) and yes.. there will be more pictures from the time we spent there the next day before boarding the ferry to Helsinki. Â anyway, enough talking, picture time. on the road again... i see something in the distance... not sure what this was.. but it looked interesting.. eeing the people walk on top of it.. hmm, what's going on here? aha, a sailing event i see more in the distance.. looks like a ferry.. we made it spinning teacups.. looks interesting... but.. hmmmm but first things first.. aftre some drinks it was time to check out the park some random people.. one of the most appropriate ride names i've encountered so far.. people and attractions everywhere.. this just looks very interesting..., but will have to wait a little longer time to walk a little more and take in the amazing vibe next stop... credit.. the sun was on it's way down.. and the lights were being turned on... plenty of green only in europe.. so when's the next update coming Craig?? hmmm looks like ocean race related.. time to relax a little. spinning.. Vilda Musen a lot of track and metal impression from the side.. right next to the water different angle.. waterfront let's see.. 2 coasters, a power shot a drop tower.. am i forgetting something? food chair swing time to move on.. Jetline another credit drop fun..
Hhappy
Ok, time for part2 of this update.. Â By now.. it was dark, the sun had set... and the insanity was about to really start... Â Hope you enjoy it and remember.. this is place is totally worth a trip and visit. (or at least that's my opinion) yes.. it's dark... let's see what happens.. ok, looks like they enjoyed the ride getting back into the station.. thumbs up poor Craig.. he looks a little pale the before shot... some folks can't stop giggling.. and the after effect.. going for another spin another after effect screem if you like it... getting ready for another spin... and another after effect... time to say goodbye.. for tonight
Looty
Awesome pictures Hanno! I definitely need to pay a visit to Grona Lund before I die!
Anac0nda
One thing (of the many) I love about Insane, its that it's right next to the water. The first dip and the brake run are actually above water, as can be seen from the pics. I just love Insane!
ginzo
^Yeah, it gets my vote for nicest view from a coaster. But then again, you only get to see the water and cityscape momentarily before the ride flips the hell out of you. Great stuff!

Hhappy
Sorry to hear you don't like them. Â here's a few options for you: a) don't read my reports if you don't like them b) try to make your own report to show everybody how it should be done. Â as a side note.. i'm dutch, english ain't my native language, my sense of humor is different then that of most americans, i'm a bit (just a "tiny) bit older then you are and last one.. As you can see.. i don't take funny pictures. My goal is to give a presentation of the vibe and atmosphere a park has/brings and showing the natural reaction of people on coasters and at the park. Â If this is something you don't like.. so be it.. Â If more people don't like this.. i would love to hear that. I would then stop making these updates and saving myself 4 hours of work (per update) which could be used for other stuff. Â regards Hanno
packfanlv
^Thanks for the great photos Hanno! I for one really appreciate your updates. They give a great idea of what a park has to offer and your photography is amazing!!!
larrygator
Hanno - your pictures are awesome and you have a much better command of the English langauge than I could ever hope to have of a foreign langauge. Â Although your sense of humor is odd. Â Keep up the great work. Edited March 9, 2010 by larrygator
ginzo
I'm enjoying re-living this awesome trip through your SLR. Please don't let one random individual ruin the fun. Edited March 9, 2010 by ginzo

Meteornotes
While everyone will be entertained by different things, I think most people will agree that: Â - Hanno is an amazing photographer, and deletes better pictures than 99% of us would ever take. - Every trip report is not going to be filled with spine-busting hilarity. There's room for all sorts of interpretations. And remember, some folks do not have the comedy gene, know this, and don't try to be funny (a lesson some could learn). Â Keep kicking ass, Hanno. You rule. Â dt
cfc
Aside from a few good photos, these TRs are really lackluster. No jokes, and tons of blah photos. Â Opinions are like a certain bodily orifice--everybody's got one. Your opinion has been noted and logged. Â As for mine, I'm looking forward to seeing even more of Hanno's great photos from a great TPR trip.
Mochtroid
Hanno's pictures that are good are good- they are sometimes included in IAAPA displays iirc. I agree that he has good ones. Â I read TRs for unique takes on parks, and comedy is the hallmark of a good one in my book. I respect you not having English as a native language. But in my book, a TR without humor is as fun as looking up a park in Google Earth.

rollin_n_coastin
Hanno, thanks for keeping this up. Fantastic pics as usual. I still haven't started my Scandi posts yet but it's intimidating following your amazing pics haha. Mattias is right, you captured the park in an amazing way. Â Grona Lund had such a cool collection of rides in a great setting. Even in the US, something about parks on the water or beachfront that really add something special to the atmosphere. Insane + flipping over the edge and seeing nothing but sky/ water/ sky/ water....that was definitely something special. Â Wow, I forgot how tall that drop tower is, my hands are clammy again LoL
