chemical_echo Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I know what indoor skydiving is, but it looks pointless to me. The fun of skydiving is jumping out of a plane and falling towards Earth at terminal velocity, then pulling the chute and enjoying the scenery as you float down. You get none of that indoors.
paintballer Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I paid 30 bucks for an hour of Indoor Skydiving...
ScottBrown Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Im sure there will be a discount if you are staying at the hotel
Der Der Dongt Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 And I am sure it's not worth the money because it looks boring compared to bungee jumping.
The Bebes Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 We've done this exact same thing before with the exact same company at other towers.--Robb Robb, Curious where you did it, what you paid, and how YOUR experience was. Would you recommend / what value would you put on it??? Thx, Mr Bebe
Mr Stratosphere Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 (edited) Though it isn't open to the public yet, here are some photos from the employee play day they had today! And no I didn't get to jump today, I'm sure the skydive from 15,000ft today was enough lol. ^ AMAZING! At least some parts of the former High Roller are being used again!! Crazy4Coasters! Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Looks like fun but I'm still too chicken to try it
snoflake15 Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 It's only a matter of time before they simply have a 'ride' where you jump off the tower and that's it.
downunder Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 I'm terrified of heights but I'd do it, I've done everything else on the tower.
Looty Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 This looks like a lot of fun and something that I would totally do. Any more info on pricing for this?...I have a feeling that this will be quite expensive.
RoCo Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 That is just completely sick in the head. To all those who would do this, I tip my hat in respect. You're a braver man/woman than I. The Big Shot is all I can handle up there, and I'm not sure I ever need/want to do that again...

SharkTums Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 ^Based on the pricing of the other stuff on that tower it's all pretty much equally overinflated! I would pay that if the experience was more thrilling, but it's just not fast enough for me.
sfmman2000 Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I'm curious what the maximum speed is. Because the whole thing is completely controlled, maybe it's possible for them to vary the speed....
thrillrideseeker Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Hmmm... I need to go to Vegas and try this out when it opens. Looks like it would be a blast! But I think they are outside of their minds for charging $99 per jump. Hopefully it will be like the Kissimmee Skycoaster and return riders will get a discount?! ~Matthew
kidcoaster 2 Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 With those prices I would rather put up a couple hundred extra and go real Sky Diving.
JimmyBo Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 If I win a jackpot in Vegas over $10,000 then I might consider doing this. For that price I'm not about to spend it on a slow not-so-freefall. Then again, maybe there are discount tickets along the strip. It seems there are discounts tickets for everything on the strip somewhere as long as you look at the right place. I was still stoked about getting Zumanity tickets for $25 each on the lower level. Jimmy "Can I base jump off the Strat?" Bo

cmplxaud Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Hmm... That price is way to expensive when someone can go skydiving at 10,500ft for $200. I'm willing to pay for the other rides, but the price on this one does not justify the thrill.
