Crazy_Behemoth_Lady_Jess
Wow Freefall drop ride without OTSRs. I doubt you'd see that in North America at least with the bigger drop towers. Is it a really intense ride?
Guy T. Koepp
This little park looks beautiful. I love the dirt road. It works well in the Western area. Damn it! Another German park I need to get to before I die! Guy "I gotta get out of the States soon." Koepp
Mr Chris
Their version of the Ring Of Fire looks amazing. Love the dragon theming!
Six Flags Enthuseast
I've never seen a "themed" ring of fire before.... Looks like a nice and simple park, but it still has some fun factor in it!
Hhappy
Thanks again for all the nice comments so far. Making up captions for the pictures ain't my strongest point.. I mostly try to have the pictures speak for themselves.. For the rest.. there's still something called freedom of speech.. so don't let it stop you.. Anyway.... While planning my trip to Freizeitpark Plohn i noticed another park not too far away (1,5 hour drive). There's a credit there and some sort of new attraction.. I therefore decided to add this park to the day.. before driving back home again (another 5 hours) I present to you Belantis. all pictures are in the order they were taken. I'll let you make up your own mind.. only thing i will add before presenting the pictures.. that it was hot (for the time of year) and the sun was getting to me.. and the last picture of today.. i got myself in my car.. and went back home.. it was a long and interesting day.. sorry, i was too tired/exhausted by this time to walk in tha direction to get a better picture.. paddle boats.. for the 6 to 12 year old kids.. soaked? going down on the big drop.. the waterride is moving again.. zip line ride.. it did look interesting indeed.. ok, looks like it won't be going anymore today... food court part of the park seen from the castle area.. first drop fun.. looks like another family ride (looking at the buggies) now who can i leave here... fun for the entire family some happy riders returning to the station.. ride sign which says that the power needed to run this ride for one hour equals watching tv for 500 hours.. yummie on my way to the entrance of the credit... maze overview.. a train is going up.. ok, credit time.. Drachenflug another park impression.. it's just a shame nobody was riding.. how to add some theming to the ride sign.. looks interesting from here.. almost there.. black pirate getting closer to my destination.. make them stop... ready for another couple of laps?? something is very wrong with this... hi larry zip line thingy slides.. the boats for the family boat ride in the lake area.. theming.. i'll see if you're running with people later on... looks like they are testing.. since nobody is riding... the other new thing that made me notice this place can be seen on this picture.. the first segway i've seen in europe.. right next door you can see from here to the entrance.. and the entrance to this ride the big drop.. i have to keep walking in that direction.. the credit is near that castle thingy... and they do have a zipline over the water ok, empty boats and no movement i guess it's down.. station theming.. photo tourist spot... i guess.. getting closer to the first "big" thingy seen from across the lake.. it looks like every park is getting one of these.. special "reserved" area for segway let's walk in this direction.. time for a small first impression of this park.. looks like fun.. and here's the park map.. caroussel... check.. ok, time to move on.. cause there's a credit somewhere.. this was the kiddie train ride.. including training course.. yes.. it's a segway center first "surprise".. i was surprised to see this in europe and the entrance itself just in case you were wondering where you are... this was the cash register which was open around the time i arrived.. yes i made it.. let's walk from the parking lot to the entrance.. Guy T. Koepp
It looks like a very nice interesting new park. However, it seems very spread out. Hopefully it does well enough to start to fill in some of those very sparse areas. Great pictures Hanno. If the heat was getting to you, it wasn't noticeable in tha pics. WildStangAlex
I agree, fantastic pics. That park looks like so much fun, especially the Segways!
Electerik
That park layout/map is the coolest thing I've ever seen. (I'm guessing the lake is man-made...?) Now they just need to figure out how to connect South America and Africa! /Nothing wrong with your captions, Hanno. Some people are just rude. Wood Dragon 1988
That park looks nice, and is not covered a lot on TPR. Thanks for the pics.
larrygator
Great job Hanno - Hopefully, this is the last new park you visit for a while. I'm getting tired updating the Park Index with new parks and rides.
Speeddeamon128
Great update Hanno that park looks really nice. Is the pyramid water ride anything more than just a drop or is there more to it?
coasterbadboy
What a cool looking park! Reminds me of a Legoland without the Legos. And very family friendly. Thanks for the great shots.
Hhappy
^^^ Larry, you're welcome... i guess Drievliet is still in the planning.. i have some more pictures from Plopsaland and Thorpe Park (still coming) and then it's Scandi trip time.. so you should be able to get a break ^^Speeddaemon128, i'm pretty sure the ride has more things inside.. but i did not feel like risking my camera('s) for this ride to check it out.. so i'm not 100% sure.. for the rest.. thanks for the nice comments. It's always nice to hear that people appreciate the effort...
Six Flags Enthuseast
Yes, this park does look very spread out.... Segways in a theme park is just really unusual, even for theme parks in America, where they're popular! The credit look interesting, I can't really tell what type of coaster it is, really. Kooky
^ its a Gerstlauer Bobsled Coaster, the same type of coaster like "Gsengte Sau" in Tripsdrill or "Die heiße Fahrt!" in the "Wild- & Freizeitpark Klotten". Nice little Mouse Style coaster with really good airtime hills and helixes, especially the one in Klotten. For onride video scroll down in this post. On http://www.gerstlauer-rides.de/Produkte/PB1_BobsC.html you`ll find a list all coaster of this type. Great update Hanno that park looks really nice. Is the pyramid water ride anything more than just a drop or is there more to it? I just saw on a video that there is an small darkride for the water ride and an elevator which lifts the boat to the drop, but i don`t know whats in the entrance of the pyramid because the waterride has a seperate station. Here is an OnrideVideo from the Ride but you see nearly nothing in the drakride part, but you here voices of a person which talks about that he will be the biggest adventure guy of all times and a curse of the mummy of course: and one mixed On- and Offride Video were you see better how the elevator works: And for te coaster guys a onride of the "Drachenritt"-Coaster:
Hhappy
After doing a quick update after my visit on april 18th about Anubis at Plopsaland Belgium... it is now time for another update. This time i'll try to give you an impression of Plopsaland as a park. As alway.. photo's are in the order that they were taken (you might notice that i did multiple laps in this park) and feel free to comment. time to leave the park.. i had a train to catch to get me to the other side of the water and into the UK.. Next stop.. Thorpe Park one more picture of this ride.. and off course.. each park needs spinning teacups.. there are so many details to look at.. up and down and round and round ( i assume) fun for young and older.. hi larry another family ride.. you know what this means.. is it fear?? is it joy? not sure.. but it looks funny to me.. i guess i'm back to where i started the walk this morning.. another Anubis picture.. did i mention this place is perfect for families not sure what caused this.. but it was fun to watch the bird scare away the bigger animals.. they are climbing inside the train for the food.. and this is what happens next.. you could buy some food for the animals along the train ride... what's in a name maybe some day... the locomotive something is missing in this picture.. time to relax and enjoy a lap around the park.. just a random sign.. i guess it's the character around which this park (and the tv show) is build.. next up would be alot of Anubis pictures.. but those were already part of a previous update and the way in.. clear rules on the height restictions.. there's plenty to do for a family with kids in this park.. just waiting for people to start paddeling.. waterbikes in "belgium" and french.. and it produces a decent splash.. you can get pretty close to the boats.. here are some picture of the big boat ride.. why do people ignore me?? semi nerd shot.. log flume drop fun.. and there's the dragon.. inside the station.. log flume seen from the dragon's que time to get back to the dragon.. and the boat was loaded with people.. trying to stay dry.. some random people were waiving on the coaster.. by this time the bikes were airborn.. these kids were loud.. really loud.. the ship was swinging by this time.. and the kids were screaming.. but first things first.. there's another credit.. small overview for the next area.. now where is Jaws?? this is one of the moving things you would see when enjoying this ride.. and the entrance water/boat ride which was not open yet... (and i did not get a better picture later that day) food court area.. and every ride needs it's washing machine (off course) a ship and Anubis in the background.. so did the cars from the train.. the station building did look interesting.. hi larry and there's mega mindy.. flying with a pole... a well.. you get the picture.. so these appear to be the jetski's another sign safety first.. always put the lights on.. a test seat.. flying bicycle?? this is probably one of the caracters from the show.. entrance to De draak.. the powered coaster it's just hanging around.. time to move on, it looks like the observation tower got "stuck" like that a while back.. some boats going round etc.. now what could this be... it was still early and not too many people had made it to this park yet... the park map. as an adult.. make sure to sit in the back.. cause.. well.. i assume you can guess.. now how am i going to fit in that?? almost back at the station size matters in this case.. looks interesting.. time for the first credit of this day.. small cars, road signs and parents keeping an eye on their child.. for all the small kids.. this might look interesting once the sun has gone down.. you can see Anubis immediately.. but i decided to go the other way round.. don't you just love decent theming.. i made it to the entrance
GeorgeT
Oh my dear...this park looks soooo absolutely beautiful. It`s one of those reviews, that makes this "I`ll have to go there very soon..." feeling. Thanks a lot ! GeorgeT
Six Flags Enthuseast
Every ride needs its own washing machine........ wow, that's a first of any coaster I've seen!
Sharkyjon
This ride is amazing! I went to Thorpe Park on 7th May. I managed to get on Saw 5 times which was class as there were hardly any queues. The ride is smoothe and does not slow down. The dark part of this ride caught me out as I was not expecting what was in there! Its worth a ride. Hhappy
^ there were plenty of people in the park.. but i guess i walked round in a different way others did.. and many pictures were taken before most rides opened... I'm sorry folks.. but this just took way longer then expected. I just came back from visiting Duinrell today for a couple of hours.. and realized the Thorpe Park update was still missing. So i'll do that first and present you with some more pictures of the new Coaster named Falcon at Duinrell in the next couple of days (sorry) Anyway.. Thorpe Park.. my first and only visit to this place was in october of 2006.. and damn.. it did rain the entire afternoon so yeah.. that wasn't the best day ever.. This time around the weather was just great and i had a pretty good day, got on all the rides i wanted to and got plenty of photo's to entertain you all. In a previous update i've already showed some SAW pictures.. now it's time for the rest of the park Enough said.. pictures are in chronicle order (as usual) hope you like them.. that's it folks.. just a few more seconds and you're done.. second row.. launch fun.. going down.. Back to Stealth and people.. one of the few remaining photo op locations.. i can't do an update without pictures of Nemesis Inferno.. the ride felt slow.. but maybe that's because i've been on so many coasters since my last visit.. rolling over the top.. time to head back... Face your Fears getting wet.. some random people.. now i am confused.. this was fun.. a lot of people entered the fasttrack entrance... instead of the normal one.. they have a noodle bar.. and i went to the "king" instead.. stupid me.. SAW blades and no.. i di not ride it.. did not feel like waiting for more then 15 minutes.. let alone one hour.. do i need to add words? roll roll roll i guess more people have something like this? something does not look right here.. Colossus.. hold on.. Saw que seen from far away... interesting way to ride this... all the way up.. going round and round and round and.. plenty of people still entering the park.. Hi Larry it ain't Vortex now what's that? looked like somebody was about to puke... ... trees .. Quantum the beach was full with people a couple of hours later.. you might get soaked indeed that's a lot of water.. small overview of this area.. Tidal Wave boat with passengers about to get wet.. More detonator drop fun.. it's a shame the focus is not perfect on this one.. but the expression on frontrow is priceless.. total chock why are you looking at this ride.. check out stealth... stealth in the distance.. train photo.. submarine.. and not the yellow one.. nice view.. Flying fish was not there yet in 2006.. Tidal Wave entrance.. rules of conduct pretty... clean train the ride did feel quicker then october 2006.. and yes.. i did like it.. that's more like it reacups?? some other time maybe.. rapids?? no thanks.. the line was up to one hour at this point.. so i did something else first.. coming down.. for some reason i had missed this credit during my previous visit.. so this was my next stop... no need for more words or pictures.. that was one strange ride lost city?? the picture everybody has.. First stop Saw.. no running.. just a nice walking pace.. and a new angle to take pictures from.. the line about 20 minutes later... that's better.. i was very happy that i had printed my ticket at home.. ok, i guess it's going to be crowded? plenty of people already in line to get a ticket.. It's still pretty early but i made it.
Six Flags Enthuseast
Nice update, Hanno! I think that would be a fun park to go to, with it's good combination of themeing, foliage, and good rides... Mmmm..... Intamin rides.... Mmm..........
tanthonyam
Plopsaland looks really nice! Sort of a combination of Busch Europe and Disney like theming. One question, what does that speedboat ride do? Legoland has one of these I think. Is it like a teacup ride? You spin it?
