hansrubens
Hi everyone, First park of my new coaster season. Traditionally we go to Disney on the first week of february cause this time of year the crowds are light and the weather should be nice and it was. We did have some snow but that was just part of the Disney winter experience. There were no lines at all except for Crush Coaster which has a very low capacity and it has very bad operations. Now we only had a line of 20 -30 minutes but on crowded days this line is unbearable with lines exceeding 100 minutes. On to the pics. Thanks for reading. ^ ^ We also run into the Disney parade. ^ Some more Mad Hatter pictures. ^ ^ ^ Snow White. Big Thunder Mountain in winter settings. This is such a beautiful ride but it's SBNO now for a couple of years. I wonder when Disney will get it up and running again. ^ Mad Hatters Teacups. See here is the extra Disney magic. My favorite rollercoaster ride at Disney. ^ This is such a cool ride. ^ ^ We also played an awesome bowling arcade game. Buzz light year. Autopia But i'm not so into simulator rides. The settings and queue area of Star Tours are awesome. Orbitron ride sign but forgot to take a picture of the ride itself. Space Mountain was running well in the front for a moment I thought it was smooth but when we rode it more to the back it was rough as hell again. ^ Some Elissa friendly pictures. Overview from Alice's Castle. But who's the king. And finaly we made to the castle. And this was not so Disney standard. This one was not working. Yup. We met the ace of spades. We got lost. We did have some good fun here. Out of my five visits to the resort this was the first Labyrinth credit. We tried Alice's Curious Labyrinth. ^ Kings Arthur Carrousel. Food. They are preparing a big party? The square in fornt of the castle was under construction. Disneyland!! They still use the old Euro Disney sign on the lampposts. Newport Bay Club. Hotel New York. Lakeside view of Disney Village. Inside. And we had some drinks at the Sportsbar. ^ Random Disney Village pictures. Which had a strange way of serving beer. Only the straws are missing. First we had some food at a TPR approved restaurant. We also spent some time at Disney Village. Founding father. It did run very good in the back but in the front it was rough. Rock 'n Rollercoaster. ^ Boiler room. It's a very good ride with a pop of extreme airtime. Up to the tower. Cool movie banners. Weird. Blurry station pic. They put up a new cool animatronic at the start of Crush's queue line. Weee... Just a plain pov shot. Flying Carpets ride. Preview of the 2009 West Coast trip. Herbie inside. Studio 1 store with.... Studio 1 is just filled with restaurants and stores. First of to the Disney Studios park. No comment. We had some snow but it didn't got us in trouble. Group photo. Groteslurf
Great report Hans. It's really to cold now for me to enjoy a themepark. I think my only Disney visit this year will be in California.
Speeddeamon128
Great report! I wish I could start my 09 coaster season.
packfanlv
Thanks! Great pictures. I can't wait to get to DLPR. It is the only Disney resort I haven't been to. DLP is such a beautiful park.
gerd.muller
Really great pictures, thanks for sharing. DLRP looks a way more relaxed than the Floridian or the Californian Disney Parks (Maybee it just was depending onthe date and the weather!), but anyway, great TR! Crazy_Behemoth_Lady_Jess
Did you go on Indiana Jones too? Isin't the Indiana Jones ride in paris different from the ones in California and Florida?
The Disneylander
^ There is no Indy ride in Florida. The Indy in Paris is, I believe, very similar to a Pinfari looping-in other words, nowhere as good as Indy California.
Crazy_Behemoth_Lady_Jess
Oh ok, sorry I've never been to any of the disneyl parks so I'm sorta unfamilliar. A looping indiana jones ride, sounds cool. But maybe rough?
WildStangAlex
Awesome TR! I wish I could get back to Disneyland Paris soon, but unfortunately that doesn't look possible
senna
Cool report. What did you think of Tower of Terror and have you been on the others? I thought it was the worst one simply as it was to bright, you could see the all the walls. Seeing as its the same as the one in California I did not even find it as good as that. We also found Space Mountain really rough and I dont know what they have done to Thunder Mountain but it was running so slow when we went in October. Kennyweird
Great Trip report, Hans. DLPR looks interesting, you don't come across to many parks nowadays that have an old fashioned hedge maze like Alice's Labyrinth.
Mozart67
God, Disney Paris is gorgeous. Since I haven't been to a Disney park for about 25 years or so, this may sound silly, but how does the Aerosmith ride fit in with the general Disney theme? fdelhomez
This report is just fantastic, I have a cast member training on the 9th of march on disneyland, being a trainer of the Disney's tradition!!! See ya soon SMM2!
hansrubens
Did you go on Indiana Jones too? Isin't the Indiana Jones ride in paris different from the ones in California and Florida? Yes we did ride it. We've done two "marathon" sessions with 4 or 5 rides in a row. It is a single looper model by Intamin and I think they copied it from Pinfari. It's my least favorite Intamin coaster though I liked the Intamin looper in Moviepark Germany. -----Hans
Mr. Volcano
Great TR! Thanks so much for sharing. Anytime I see anything of Disneyland Paris it makes me want to visit more and more. It has such a beautiful atmosphere and nice setup, its a shame to have not seen the park yet. -Justin

Chroniq
I wonder if that animatronic is actually a hidden Kuka Robot Arm.. It certainly looks like it moves that way...

hansrubens
Cool report. 1. What did you think of Tower of Terror and have you been on the others? I thought it was the worst one simply as it was to bright, you could see the all the walls. Seeing as its the same as the one in California I did not even find it as good as that. 2. We also found Space Mountain really rough. 3. and I dont know what they have done to Thunder Mountain but it was running so slow when we went in October. 1. The Paris version is the only one that I've been on. In August I'm on the West Coast Trip so I will be able to do the California version as well. So I don't know yet which one is better but indeed after a few rides I could clearly see the ceiling and walls. However I found the ride experience amazing. 2. Yes it is rough there is no question about that but my first ride was in front and it was a bit smoother there. 3. Maybe it runs a bit better when it's warm but i've didn't been on it in the summer for quite a time so I couldn't tell that but in my opinion it runs the same as it did last year. -----Hans

ginzo
I dont know what they have done to Thunder Mountain but it was running so slow when we went in October. We didn't have that problem with DLP's Big Thunder Mountain back in early July. It ran quite well, even when we got the very first rides on it in the morning before they let the GP on the ride.
