Mind Eraser Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Reon- how about NOT Cedar Point? I can't think of a worse place to have a get together of any kind. Too big, too crowded, etc. Standing for 2 hrs in a cattle queue, in 90 degree heat, while trying to talk with friends? -kip-
Reon Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 well sure..i mean I just did it last week well then wear can we meet thats in the midwest...Holiday World comes to mind, but that might be a bit too far to travel. Im tempted to say PKI, but...its PKI Jared"Stupid non-midwest meet" Becker
bluesunday Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 (^ I'm also a Colbert fanatic ) Anyways, I'll try my best to make it. I honestly don't think either of my parents will take me, but...yeah -- I'll try to bribe them! Whatever it takes!
Guy T. Koepp Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 As Darth Vader would say,"Noooooooooooooooooo!!!" I JUST booked a gig for that weekend. However, I was lead on this gig last year and if memory serves... Saturday was a tech day and I was out of there by 6pm. I might be a little late, but I'll try my best to be there. So... As Bill and Ted would say, "Excellent!" It will be a great Birthday! Guy "I quote a lot of movies." Koepp
ddaver177 Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 I would love to go, but since I live in PA and I am 15 I do not think it is happening. Hopefully you guys can hold one on the East Coast for all the East Side members. Maybe at SFGADV or SFNE

robbalvey Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 Ok, let's try to keep this on topic for those people who live in California (or not if the case may be) that actually can make it to our DVD preview party & SFMM meet! --Robb
Chris Benvenuto Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 Can you dedicate an event at the party for me? it's my birthday that day and I really wish I could go....but i can't and i'm sad..... I understand if you don't dedicate an event at the party to me. could you just mention my birthday then guys? i would love it! Chris
4718 Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 It's a ways off for me, which is good, my brother and I might come......he works at SFMM too.
arrowfanman Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 I probably will be able to go to one or two of the meets, it is a wee bit early to tell. I'll be one of the last people to RSVP...lol. But it would be nice to meet all of you . . . as thats what you do at a meet.
Sir Clinksalot Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 I will bring a cake again if you want and sugar free stuff for the diabetics and me this time..promise!!! Kristi
ebl Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Damn those diabetics...they're everywhere! So far, I think I have the day open for this meet/party, and I think Diana can join me, but I'll confirm it later. Your cake was good the last time I was over, Kristi. Praise the Lord for Splenda! Eric
SharkTums Posted July 27, 2005 Author Posted July 27, 2005 Just another update on the event! We've added some fun new stuff after a brainstorming session in the SFMM Construction thread with myself, Robb, Wes, and Guy! We will be playing games and having challenges throughout the day at Hurricane Harbor, Magic Mountain, and back at our place! This should be a lot of fun! I already have a pretty big list going of what we can do that is both free, and within the park rules! Ooo, I'm excited now! One of our games will even give everyone on the forum who couldn't make it the opportunity to participate! Should be great fun! Hopefully see a lot of people there! And yes, this is another reason why I need to know who is going before hand! (Let's just say that one of our games will involve divisioning!)
Sir Clinksalot Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Hmmm ... Maybe we will have to ditch the kids that day. Might be hard though since that's the weekend before our VA trip.
SharkTums Posted July 27, 2005 Author Posted July 27, 2005 The kids will still have fun...there are games they can compete in as well!
coaster1 Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 I will bring a cake again if you want and sugar free stuff for the diabetics and me this time..promise!!! Kristi Yes sugar-free for us diabetic losers = good ... plus yanno .. don't feel like dying in Valencia.
Ghost Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 Once I win the big one, count me in... still have a couple of months to win... BTW; this is a European trip DVD, should the release party not be in Europe OK. OK. OK I hope it is a special effect DVD where you (will not) get wet on the BJL section..... Enjoy the day and looking forwards to the report online... BTW; when can we expect that DVD in our postbox?
Sir Clinksalot Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 ^ I'm not sure if this is going to be the actual "TPR DVD" or if it will just be the Europe stuff. Knowing what Robb and Elissa go through to get the yearly DVD's ready I think it would be quite difficult to get EVERYTHING done by next month. Although if anybody can do it, it's probably them.
Flight Attendant Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Would love to come on up there...since it's been years that I've been in SFMM. Unsure if I will not be working then. I soon as I know, I'll let you know.
PhishyBrewer Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 Everyone have fun! I'll be working some weekend overtime to help pay for our Cedar Point trip in October. I wish Gavin was under 2 still. He pays for a seat on the plane like everyone else. Take plenty of pictures. Enjoy!
CoasterCrazy88 Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 I'll be there! I sent Robb and Elissa my RSVP about 2 weeks ago. I would really like to find out what the games are! All I know about is the Taiko Drum Game. See you in Sept. Antonio"Can't wait to see everyone again!"G.
dws_57 Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 I'm thinking of making a weekend of it as I haven't been down to southern Cal in a couple years (last time Disney). So I'm thinking of going to Knott's on friday too. And back to SFMM on Sunday to get some other rides in. (In case it's crowded on satruday.) I won't say it's been a long time since I've been there. But last time I was there you could still go up in the tower and the revolution only had lap bars. Needless to say, there's a few coasters there I haven't ridden. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Dws
Guy T. Koepp Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 I am sooooooooooo sad! :crying: There is nothing I would rather be doing on my birthday than playing at the park with family and friends. But... I am going to be TDing an Entertainment Weekly event that evening. I just recieved my call times. 8am Sept 17th untill 8am Sept 18th. So I will regretfully have to miss this one. I am already crying. :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: Please get lots of pictures. For all those going. You will all have a blast. Robb & Elissa throw one humdinger of a shindig. Watch out for the wings! Guy "I'm too sad to write anything snappy in quotes" Koepp
robbalvey Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 Time to unstick this. If you're coming to the meet, post in the roll call thread: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18432 --Robb
