memphish Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Check out Desktop Earth 2.0. It will update your wallpaper with satellite cloud imagery every 3 hours and simulate day and night based off your computer's clock. http://codefromthe70s.org/desktopearth_dl.asp Screen shot at 1680x1050 http://www.brainville.org/files/images/screen1680.jpg

AznShortBoi8021 Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 My desktop isn't anything special. Just an MBTA Breda Type 8 LRV. It's a Lemon!
Token Yankee Guy Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 ^ It's the Green line. I've ridden that a few times
benzo41190 Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Here is my desktop. my desktop picture that is used
ParkTrips Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 *bump for new desktop* Hells yes I'll take Five Vertical Loops
BeemerBoy Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 Just one of the many yachts I've worked on in the past. Anyone wanna take a guess who it belongs to?
BeemerBoy Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Well, it was time for a change. His yacht's been on here for quite awhile, so it was time to take to the air instead.
coasters 4 me Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 ^ I thought you would have the Airbus A380 if you are into aviation. Surfer
DejaVu4Life Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 ^ I thought you would have the Airbus A380 if you are into aviation. Too ugly for me. Really I should have either a 767-400 or a 757-200. Those look best to me.
phazan Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 ^Ahh! Flight simulater! I have the 2004, and I love it. It is so realistic! And yes I agree with you; remember, bigger does not mean better!
BeemerBoy Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 What, no love for megayachts in here? I mean, c'mon at least Paul has his own kickass chopper onboard. Seriously though, to you flyboys, not to span too far off the intent of this thread, but how many airports will need to be modified to accept those new Airbus planes? I haven't heard much about 'em, but it's obvious they're HUGE!
Blue0ctane Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 I haven't heard anything, but my guess that the 380 would be used mostly for international flights to the major destinations. I mean, what person would want to spend a bunch of money on a luxorious jumbo jet just to fly from New York to California or something like that? They'll probably modify some of the more major airports, such as JFK, Miami, LAX, Heathrow, Paris, Ben Gurion, etc. Hey, you can always connect on a national flight before getting on one of these, kind of like I did when going to Israel.
dragoncoaster1292 Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 *bump for new desktop* I have that coaster on a calendar. Sadly, I don't know how to take a screenshot with a mac. If someone could tell me, that would be great!
mb425 Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 Sadly, I don't know how to take a screenshot with a mac. If someone could tell me, that would be great! Press and hold Shift+Apple Key+3 in that order. Your screenshot will be on the desktop as Picture 1.png. While I have my desktop set to change every 30 minutes, I'll share the coaster related pic I have. Millie!
dragoncoaster1292 Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 Awesome! Thanks! Here is my desktop: DIB, by me
