coasterdude5 Posted November 23, 2008 Author Posted November 23, 2008 Update Year 1 We've got a couple days left before our "off season" where only select rides will operate along with the restaurants, but construction for next year's addition is well underway! Groundwork is visible all along the parking lot and across from the House of Blues. Whatever it's gonna be, it's gonna be big! I was told yesterday that teaser signs have been delivered to the park. Here are what some of them say: "Effin' Bad A. Makes a Comeback" "Crowd diving is ALWAYS fun!" "My drug is adrenaline." "My guitar is only second to beautiful women." JUST GOT THIS PICTURE SENT TO ME - TRACK HAS ARRIVED! Let the speculation begin!
Team Thriller Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 B&M Dive Coaster coming this way.... Anything it is. As long as you are building it and putting your magic to it. It will be awesome. --James
AlmereStars Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I think your using the Extended Coaster track with the x-car trains and make a totally messed up compact rollercoaster
BelgianGuy Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I'd like to see a dive machine! they are like way to cool
KPWoCkAxX Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I think a Dive Machine would be awesome! Delta Demon rocks! I want to ride it!
Steffen_Dk Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Guitar? Some kind of Rock'n'roll coaster?
Reon Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Why am I thinking this will be called Guitar Hero/Rock Band/insert band name here: the ride?
coasterdude5 Posted November 24, 2008 Author Posted November 24, 2008 Update Year 1 Orleans Place Boardwalk's first season is quickly coming to an end! It's getting colder outside and soon only a few rides will be operating along with the restaurants. The line for Screwball is a long one! What a time to ride! Whatever this is will be announced on Wednesday! I've been told everything from a compact invert to a dive machine - it really could be anything!
Reon Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Definately HRP themed now..... .... ...GUITAR HERO THE RIDE! I might have to put in the old RCT3 again to make that now.
coasterdude5 Posted November 25, 2008 Author Posted November 25, 2008 Update Year 1 Welcome to the final day of our first year of operation. Some of the rides will be closing down for the "winter" but you can still come and check out the restaurants and other stuff the Boardwalk has to offer! The boardwalk was crowded today despite the cold conditions, for New Orleans, anyway. This classic ride still delivers the screams! Check back tomorrow for the announcement!
cinciDAWGS12 Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 This park is just breath taking. I would love to see this be a real park one day...Great job!
coasterdude5 Posted November 26, 2008 Author Posted November 26, 2008 Update Year 2 Announcement Orleans Place Boardwalk is pleased to announce Hard Rockin' Rollercoaster for next season. Hard Rockin' Rollercoaster will be a sleek, 230 foot tall power house full of music, thrills, and chills. The ride will begin in your favorite rockstar's mansion. Riders will depart from the mansion only to face a 23 story climb ahead. Riders will be treated to an onboard audio experience, hearing the sounds of Led Zeppelin, Eagles, and other famous artists. The ride will feature an out-and-back layout, providing a nice backdrop for the boardwalk. The ride will feature high-speed turns, intense camel back hills, and much more. Orleans Place Boardwalk has also been bought by Boardwalks, Inc., allowing this special partnership between Hard Rock Cafe and Orleans Place Boardwalk to take place. This year Scream Like a Rockstar! at Orleans Place Boardwalk.
andre8 Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 I think you should change the name of the coaster.
holidayworld08 Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 ^ I agree. Its your park man, so do what you want.
Twister II Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Oh those supports just kill it. I know your building style, and if you expect to get away with those crappy supports in this park of (MUCH BETTER) awesome buildings - your wrong. RCDB is your friend
rckrazy06 Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Yeah, the supports were the first thing that jumped out at me. WAY too many.
coasterdude5 Posted November 27, 2008 Author Posted November 27, 2008 I can remove some, but that's about it. The lag in this park is simply too bad to focus on detailed support work.
Vffreak07 Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Hmm, I dunno about this one. I love all your parks I really do, but it's just like this coaster is sorta outta place. Maybe I have to see the whole thing, but really it seems too big for the boardwalk.
coasterdude5 Posted November 27, 2008 Author Posted November 27, 2008 ^ The ride isn't "on" the boardwalk. It's far away from it, actually. I have fixed and revamped the supports. They will be featured in tomorrow's update.
coasterdude5 Posted November 27, 2008 Author Posted November 27, 2008 Update Year 2 Welcome back! Hard Rockin' Roller Coaster is open! As you approach the ride you come across the new Hard Rock Plaza. It features... you guessed it: music stuff. The "mansion" is built high off the ground so you gotta climb some stairs to get to it. More Hard Rockin' Roller Coaster soon!
KPWoCkAxX Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 The supports look waaay better! You got some intersted bands up there too Nice one!
