downunder Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 ^I'm with you there, marathoning SFMM Goliath is like training to be a fighter pilot. Even when the mid course brings the train to a stop, those helix g's are still mighty powerful. My next vote goes to Time Warp at Canada's Tortureland, those cage trains just look messed up. http://www.rcdb.com/ig2516.htm
Canobie Coaster Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 ^ I haven't been on the one at Canada's Wonderland, but I went on the one at Rye Playland. Yes the cage trains are different and a tad uncomfortable, but the ride was actually pretty fun.
Coaster Hunter Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 ^^ Those seats are almost the same like Fly Away (Bobbejaanland). Kind of a enterprise. Auwch!
DBru Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 ^I never understood why people think it's so painful. They look similar to Time Warp's, and I didn't feel any pain at all on that ride. (But I did think I was going to fall out!)
pacoasterrider Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 weirdest coaster ive seen! owch. that turn after the drop owch
Rct3man777 Posted June 28, 2008 Author Posted June 28, 2008 Rct3man777 does not want to go on that. EVER.
Rct3man777 Posted June 29, 2008 Author Posted June 29, 2008 Rct3man777 thinks this ride is pain redifined:
FLIPDUDE Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Rct3man77 is talking in 3rd person which is a little bit creepy.
Kennyweird Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Kennyweird agrees with Rct3man77, Pax coasters do look like pain redefined. Kennyweird would also like to note that this is his 300th post. (Seriously though, enough with the third person)
RenegadeFan Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 That last coaster posted looks like a n00b coaster from No Limits! Talk about way to over banked! As for Steel Hawg, it looks okay, but it still doesn't look that smooth.
Rct3man777 Posted June 29, 2008 Author Posted June 29, 2008 Rct3man777 thinks the track of steel hog looks like plastic! Rct3man77 is talking in 3rd person which is a little bit creepy. But Rct3man777 likes to talk in the third person.
viking86 Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Viking86 thinks the last picture looks awesome because its a PAX coaster and the only PAX coaster he has been on is freakin amazing. Viking86 also realises that he has to change his signature because El Toro is easily the best coaster ever created.
MattyD Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 MattyD is not liking all the third person talking! Seriously, I was enjoying this topic but it seems to have gone to 'Weird RollerCoaster Enthusiasts' rather than 'Weird Rollercoasters'!!! The site I saw this one on said it was fully functioning and built in a school gym! I honestly can't see how this is fully functioning (you'd come off on the corners surely?!) but if it is then it must fit into the wierd rollercoasters catagory! Hope to see some more in actual parks soon, this topic is really interesting! Matt Back on topic, How about this then?
FLIPDUDE Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 ^Whoa! At first I thought it was that track the camera rode on in some music video... I forget what band it was, I think Keiser chiefs? That is WEIRD. Whered you find the picutre? EDIT - I jsut noticed, no way is that in any way shape or form rideable, look a the hairpin turn after the gigantic drop. Plus - no lift mechanism
MattyD Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 I honestly can't remember where I found it - it was a list of the weirdest school projects but thats all I remember! I can't see how it could work either, but the site was actually listing statistics like 35mph at the bottom of the biggest drop etc so I wasn't sure whether they were taking the p*ss or whether kids were riding it on skateboards or something! You can probably find something about it by typing in School Rollercoaster or something like that in google, I just came across it whilst randomly searching the web and immediately thought of this thread!!! But I do agree it really doesn't look rideable! Matt
Rct3man777 Posted July 1, 2008 Author Posted July 1, 2008 Whoa, a roller coaster in a gym. Rct3man777 REALLY thinks that's weird!
TheHulk Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 We have one of these things in our area, and seriously, all ours does is go in an oval and over two small banked turns. (You can see them in this pic, but it isn't the one around here)
Liseberg4ever Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Whoa, a roller coaster in a gym. Rct3man777 REALLY thinks that's weird! liseberg4ever thinks it's just stupid
Rct3man777 Posted July 3, 2008 Author Posted July 3, 2008 This one recieves, not the weird title...but the KING OF PAINFUL [And possibly dangerous] COASTERS TITLE. Rct3man777 thinks the world is trying to kill everyone.
