If you're trying to spend a whole day, the water park is decent and worth a couple hours if you want. Other than that, crowds are never an issue especially during the week. Don't bother with a flash pass. The park is better than people say it is, but don't go in expecting anything spectacular. Best coasters are Superman, Wild One and Jokers Jinx--all worth re-rides.

Oh, yes they will replace your season pass.

That's actually not true. I called Six Flags Over Texas and asked and they said I must wait for Six Flags America to open back up which means my trip to Texas this winter is now canceled.

Not to mention I live in NC. I happened to be in the DC area and grabbed a season pass membership while on vacation, never expecting I was going to have my wallet stolen. Now I am paying a monthly membership fee and no way to replace my card unless I plan another vacation to Washington DC.

The pass prices are, or at least were, different depending on where you buy them. SFA may be the cheapest. Doesn't completely justify your issue but that's probably one reason the passes have a home park despite being good everywhere. Actually your home park probably gets more of it.

As to replacement, look into if you can get into the park of your credentials without replacing it for now. I know someone who managed to do that at KD -- he didn't need a new one it was at home.

I just realized I may have the same issue -- I have a new special deal pass set up and it's not done as a renewal.

You know, you may be right. I went to SFGav on Friday. I tried to get the meal pass up there. They couldn't do it because my pass is from SFA. Weird. I bet money that you could call SF or SFA to get something figured out. They keep the pics in the system. Maybe they can make you another, then send it to you. People work there during the winter. I know someone personally; owns the turkey leg place.

Ok, this is what I found out. My friend doesn't work in the season pass place, but knows a little. Checked on the mobile app thing; because SFA doesn't use biometrics, using the app will not work. Still, what you can do is call SFA. Tell them what happened. Once you give them your info (membership number, name, etc), they can make you another one, then they can send it to you in the mail. Lol, if they don't mail, I'll get it for you.

I'm planning on going to Six Flags America this summer. Any tips/things I should know?

Yes...skip it and go to a better park around the same general area.

Yes. I strongly suggest upgrading to the Season Pass as soon as you get there as it's a great deal. The best thing about it is that it's valid at all Six Flags parks. As soon as you process the pass, leave immediately (no need to get a handstamp) and get on I-95 North and go to Great Adventure.

On a serious note, if you go on a weekday you should have no problem getting all the credits with in less than two hours (if the operations aren't crap, that is), but the park is notorious for running one train on most, if not all their coasters. Wild One and SROS are a must!

So there are usually no lines there? Im planning on taking a day trip to the park in early june.

Yes, it is the Dorney of the Six Flags chain, at least in that respect.

Don't listen to this nonsense. Go on a weekday to get the best experience. Water park can be a little crowded, but not ridiculous. As long as u stay off Apocalyse, you'll have a good time on the dry time too. Flats leave a little to be desired. The shows are good too. Shows/actors have won a brass ring award three years in a row. No other park in the world has pulled that off.

I've really never have had a bad time here. I like it as much as Kings Dominion, and a little less than Busch Gardens.

Are you high? Even comparing this park to Kings Dominion (or any other park anywhere short of maybe Lakemont and Conneaut Lake) is an insult.

Six Flags America is slowly improving but it's still terrible.

I will say I had a fun and pleasant experience at SFA when I revisited in 2013. However, it's got a LONG way to go before I'll remotely consider it in the same league as the other regional theme parks in the area.

I think this is the only thing that's comparable between the two parks. I'd argue Dorney, with all it's issues, is significantly better than SFA.
