JayDarkKnight25 Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 What could be their next coaster??? I hope for a B&M flyer or a floorless coaster. Yeah I wonder, they could defenitely use a Floorless coaster.
pgathriller Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 It would be really cool if they built a 4th dimensional coaster. They can make it better than X because X had a lot of problems. They can also paint it a better color than pink.
Coasterlicious Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 They have some space issues, although they always manage to build rides because of the ways they build.. Â Disaster Transport could be torn down, so then another twisty ride could be put in that midway... becauuse Wicked Twister, Ferris Wheel, and maXair are all beautiful... and then there is this ugly building just sitting there.. Â I dont think CP needs that many coasters right now... they have plenty of them.. maybe some more original rides.. a state of the art dark ride.. Â Unless Intamin builds CP another record breaker like they usually do.. I wouldnt expect anything too amazing .. anytime soon ..

ECZenith Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 I just hope whatever the next ride is, it's original. I'm not really interested in the record-breaking aspect of their coasters so much as a fun ride.
vertgforces Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 they definetly needs some kind of coaster with inversions...i mean out of their 16 coasters, only 3 go upside down...im down with a floorless, flyer, or 4D...there was a wild rumor a while back about Dueling Flyers, but personally, i don't see that happening.
dandaman Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 I agree with Coasterlicious. A state-of-the-art dark ride is just what Cedar Point needs. (Did you say, "Disaster Transport counts"? Then you will be brought forth to the Killer Rabbit from Holy Grail and nibbled to death. )
JayDarkKnight25 Posted July 3, 2005 Author Posted July 3, 2005 Yeah I kind of agree with a state of the art dark ride, maybe put that in first, then think about a flyer or floorless, most likely a floorless.
Jeezus Juice Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 I'd say floorless too. I'm thinking that maybe Hydra was just a test. If CP built one with like 5 jo-jos they could possibly take the inversion record. Â And they have TONS of room with all that concrete and no trees! Â -DJ
X Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 I also want to see a Floorless coaster at Cedar Point. They need another B&M there badly.
Mr.Six Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 What about a B&M Flyer over the water? Michael "Floorless could work, but flyer would better"Thomas
ECZenith Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Well... that would be nice... With the park running out of room for a big coaster on land, it going over the water would make sense. Â I'd expect CP's next coaster to be all about inversions, but not for a couple years. The height record is way out of reach and I personally hope they don't go for it, I'd rather see something interesting. All speculation at this point...
socalMAN123 Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 I say they should go for a floorless or a fourth dimension. I agree with everybody else that CP should go for the inc\versions record. ---Brent 8)
CoasterExpert13 Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 Same here. I'd would rather see a B&M Floorless or another B&M Inverted with a nice array of inversions...maybe even some "world first's" inversions thrown in too. Tired of the same ol' (Loop, Dive Loop or Immleman, Zero-G-Roll or Heartline, Cobra Roll, MCB, Interlocking Corkscrews on the B&M's).....though B&M has quite a few very original coasters..(Hydra, Superman: Krypton Coaster, Wildfire, Incredible Hulk, Dueling Dragons, Silver Star, Silver Bullet, Nitro, Daemon ect..)
dandaman Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 Even though I would enjoy a new coaster, I wouldn't mind not having a coaster built for the next few years. Now, I realize that Cedar Point is a constantly developing park, but I'm personally happy for what they have now. Â Â Â Â I want a B&M Floorless.
Shadowforce Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 A disgruntled former CP employee just told me that they are going for the "biggest inversion" record. Nothing further known.
benzo41190 Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 They should go for a wooden coaster that has inversions. CP needs anothere woody because Gemini and Cedar Creek Mine Ride dont really count as a woody. Disaster Transport is like a dark ride anyway. I say that they should remove Demon Drop and put in a new kind of Top Spin that goes like 150 feeet tall, and has fountains with lights in the water so at night the water changes colors. And it also has strobe lights 8)
Twister II Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 I think CP's next coaster should be a spinning wild mouse.
vertgforces Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 What about a B&M Flyer over the water?Michael "Floorless could work, but flyer would better"Thomas  I beleive CP only owns the water on Lake Erie about 40 or so feet off the shore
edboxer Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 Nice thoughts so far. Yeah, they are running out of room in the park for another coaster. Â What would be way cool would be a flyer that goes through the parking lot, just missing the tops and sides of cars and busses. My other thought for a flyer would be to build it around Raptor so the flyer and Raptor would duel. Â A spinning mouse like Waldameer's would be cool. Â Rather than build a floorless, couldn't they put floorless trains on Mantis (that should remove a lot of the ouch factor). Â But my ultimate would be to tear down Mean Streak and put in a dueling woodie like Hershey's Lightening Racer.
coasterdude5 Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 My bets are on a B&M Floorless. If they love breakng height records, why don't they build the tallest looping coaster?
benzo41190 Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 if they were to do the tallest looping coaster, they better hire B&M. I agree with the Mantis Floorless and the Flyer over water. I just think they should get rid of the trims on Mean Streak, it goes sooooo slow over the turn and there is NO airtime.
Twister II Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 I think Cedar Point only cares about their rides and making a name for themselves instead of deliver a quality ride. For example: TTD.
ECZenith Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 They hit the nail right on the head with Millennium Force, that kind of quality ride for the next coaster would be perfect.
