robman
Just to clarify, will this said "announcement" tell the name and maybe the stats of the ride? It sure will! Plus we have 4 (maybe more) TPR members that are going to be at the event, so there will be plenty of coverage also.
Angry_Gumball
I'm pretty sure everything will be released: stats, rendering/preview, name... Think Gate Keeper's announcement.
Blue Fire Guy
What I'm looking the most forward to from the announcement is the virtual POV. I'm definitely itching to see how the rest of the layout got tweaked after I saw the modified Prudential turn! That's what I most curious about also, what also has me really interested is "Striking New Records"! Its really bugging me at what the records might be. larrygator
what also has me really interested is "Striking New Records"! Its really bugging me at what the records might be. How about fastest and steepest wooden coaster with the most crossovers in northern California? New records are not always world records.
Angry_Gumball
I'm thinking regional records myself...perhaps the tallest woodie in Nor Cal... August 29th can't get here soon enough!
SLUSHIE
I thought this was going to have some caves n stuff. I guess evidence of this might not show up till more construction is done but it doesn't look like there is any extra foundation for some rock work in the middle potion of the ride. Hope hope it's more than just the station, or just part of the line. This ride is supposed to be themed so some extent though. When does this park shut down or operate on weekends only or whatever they do? I would expect the station, lift and first drop construction to start around then. Weekend-only operation is in the off-season. Here's a link to the calendar I stumbled upon this image of I think it is some app, but it looks really nice. Angry_Gumball
Yes, that's the iPhone/Android app. Very interesting park map they have and while the level of detail is pretty low, accuracy seems to be spot on.
JJnCFL
When was the last time you saw something like this? Strange isn't it? ... lol Ah gotta love rcdb.com. When they finally updated their listing for CGA, I had take a moment to let it sink in. Only 1 more week to go!

Flagg O'Dim
Quick Saturday update: Au13 is looking great (but I think we already knew that). It's starting to change the skyline, you can see it in many different parts in the park. Riding White Water Falls gives an amazing close-up view! Where did the wall go? (Actually, I put the camera underneath it). Lastly, Haunt bus!

Angry_Gumball
4 more days! Soon to be 3 more. I'm very excited and this will be an exciting week in general! I'm really curious how many other heavily banked turns there will be on the ride. Edited August 26, 2012 by Angry_Gumball

Twitch
I agree. The banking there looks like it's going to provide a rather fun ride.

Angry_Gumball
^That, or I'll make yet another Au13 recreation after the 29th (and perhaps will finally make a thread in the video game section of the forums).
robman
So I went to the park for a little while today, and the park was quite today! Which I really enjoyed since crowds have been fairly heavy lately.(Which is good!) I will mostly talk through the pictures. Just a few reminders: Vortex should be going down to one train so expect longer waits. Rip Roaring Rapids closes next weekend to be transformed into Werewolf Canyon. Now onto the pictures! Making our way up to the main gate the Haunt RV is back! (Does anyone know if it is actually drive-able?) Waiting for the Star Tower to come back down. This is were all the construction equipment likes to hang out. Drumstick is still waiting for vertical construction. Some more Club Blood pictures, don't think anything has really changed as far as construction goes. Some more Club Blood, looks like some of the walls have been redone. Some bents waiting to go vertical. This was the parking lot this morning, hardly any cars compared to last Saturday. Some more progress on this turn around. Jack is back again! Random picture of Flight Deck. Headed over to Boomerang Bay now to get on the slides before they close for the season. That's me getting some sweet wall time. Wood for the new maze still hiding backstage. Claw machines have been removed as Toy Factory is going to be set up. View of the new building where the new maze is going in. I'll end the update with a few AU13 pictures. Also forgot to mention that the doughnut has been cemented over and the elephant still lives!
