No Cedar Point this year? Or did I miss it on the list?

Those are TONS of parks. Can't wait to see your TR's.

Cedar Point

there!

Yes, I should be hitting Cedar Point for Coaster Mania on June 6th.

Ginzo, I looked at the season pass like you said and it was only $23 more, but also gave me half price admissions to Silver Dollar City and Celebration City which I will be hitting both later in the year.

Plus I save anyone coming with me $5 each with my pass.

Thanks for the tip, should save me some cash.

Peace, Big Mike

Yeah, Dollywood's season pass pricing is pretty reasonable. Just be sure to bother to process it! They'll let you in the gate 1 or 2 times without processing it. Last year we bought season passes, didn't bother to process figuring we'd have time, got rained out for 2 days and never got back to the park to process our passes.

UPDATE!

Hi everyone.

Just updating this for the month of March.

My coaster season "MAY" start this weekend if the weather cooperates.

If the weather is good, I plan on visiting Storybook Land in South Jersey, along with the Steel Pier in Atlantic City on Saturday.

I will post later in the week when I know about the weather.

Also, this is for sure... Dollywood March 28th, followed by Malibu Grand Prix and Zuma that night.

Then Six Flags over Georgia on March 29th, with a side trip to Dixieland and Sir Gooneys.

Already have some friends I am looking forward to meeting there

Will post pictures and trip reports soon.

Peace, Big Mike

The Atlantic City trip is ON for Saturday March 15th!

55 degrees and sunny will start Big Mike's 2008 roller coaster season

I plan on making Storybook Land in Egg Harbor NJ the 1st stop of the Big Mike Road Show of 2008 sometime between 11am and noon.

Following that, I will enjoy the Steel Pier in Atlantic City in the early afternoon.

There will also be a possible stop at Seaside Heights on the way back home just to have some more fun and see some old friends.

Pictures and Trip reports to follow!!!

Anyone going to be in the area, I will have my TPR hoodie on until I get my Big Mike 2008 Road Show shirts in.

Peace, Big Mike

Mike,

If possible, I would do Gooneys on the 28th on your way down to Atlanta from the Smokies (I assume you are going via 75 since you are going to Zuma) - the ride may not be open and it would be stupid to drive almost 2 hours from SFOG and not ride it... plus Dixieland is almost an hour in the opposite direction...

or, you could put off Gooneys until you go down and visit Lake Winnie, since they are just a few miles apart

Why am I trying to help Big Mike??!

Posted

Thanks for the help Joe!

This is my plan.

I arrive on the 28th in Atlanta and drive straight to Doolywood, probably getting there by 1pm and it closes at 7pm.

Then I plan to hit Malibu and Zuma on the way back to Atlanta that night.

I will pass Goonies both ways, so I need to hit it during operating hours.

Saturday the 29th I will be at Six Flags all day. If things are going well with all the ERT, then I will cut out during midday and hit Dixieland, then return for late ERT.

Does that plan sound feasible, I don't know the area at all if it is logistically soundproof.

Hey Friends!!

I visited my first park of the year this past weekend.

STORYBOOK LAND in New Jersey.

This was stop #1 on The Big Mike Road Show.

I also rode credit #554.

I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Peace, Big Mike

People started packing the place when word got out that Big Mike was in town. Road Show #2 next....

209.JPG.1d94fcb528f034bc3a42f93f41ba7ce5.JPG

I know it was opening day, but this park was spotless and very well kept.

But the animated sex scenes were not one of them.

There were many places for the kids to enjoy.

"Hey look guys, The Big Mike Road Show just rolled into town!"

They have a few animals too. This darling was trying to look good for Big Mike.

They also had a fun maze. Big Mike loves mazes so I was happy.

A ride on the antique cars was one of the only adult rides.

This coaster was pretty fun for a kiddie coaster.

212.JPG.55f753fda4eba06c4ae9c5b163b46c2e.JPG

The G-force on this ride was intense.

213.JPG.77658fc8fc7915aa0ef1bce3b72e1c4d.JPG

The staff realized they had a VIP in attendance, so they closed the ride for some ERT.

Look at that first drop. Terrifying!

Yeah baby, Big Mike gets the prime seat!

176.JPG.c467374086418bcdc633310445cff786.JPG

You have to be 36 inches tall to ride, I wore my lift shoes.

The reason I am here, credit number 554... The Bubbles Coaster!

Even I spent a few hours taking in this whole place.

52 years, even older than Big Mike.

168.JPG.cd68e7fb6cccf18329b459f5c0ae7287.JPG

Once inside, this place has a lot to offer the younger crowd.

Storybook Land will set you back twenty dollars.

You have to enter through this castle.

^I would say that it was a picture from another TPR trip, and that Big Mike is having some sport with Larry.

I'm just amazed Mike remembered to bring his camera this time.

That's an amazingly ambitious list. Good luck to you. If I happen to see you at any of the Northern California locations I'll be sure to say hi.

Storybook Land is a really nice park. We've been there a couple times and the park is always in immaculate condition and the employees are friendly. Our 3 visits have always been during Christmas time since it gives us a chance to ride a coaster in December and their Christmas lights are amazing!

I live about 15 minutes from Storybook land. The amazing thing is that I havent been to that place since a class trip in 2nd grade. No pics of Moby Dick...is it even there still?

Yeah, but if Big Mike forgot to bring Big Mike's camera, then how would Big Mike be able to photograph Big Mike for this trip report, featuring Big Mike.

Love the report, Big Mike. Don't forget the camera next weekend either.

Mr. Moosey,

I looked high and wide for any girls in bikinis, but the mid March opening kind of put a halt to that.

I know people expect hot girls in Big Mike's trip reports, maybe I will have better luck in Atlanta next weekend!

Can't wait Beemer Boy.

I did however find a gentlemens club on stop #2 of the road trip!

Joe, no need to wear the hoodie much longer, The Big Mike Road Show 2008 official T-Shirt is only days away from being completed

Peace, Big Mike

PS - Stop #2 - The Steel Pier in Atlantic City coming soon.

^Mike, be sure to let me know what weekend you'll be hitting KD (I assume it'll be after Dominator opens).

Posted

You have got me pegged Chuck.

I still have to wait for parks to open up here, and I see Kings Dominion will open, but I have to wait for that place at Virginia Beach to open also.

So when Dominator and the Virginia Beach place are both open, you will see me down there

A call to Chuck is a given!!

Peace, Big Mike
