jarmor Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 I'm in a eurofighter mood lately and start designing this one today. I'm still in the brainstorming stages of the design but I think I have a few things up my sleeve . The coaster utilizes a 20ft land elevation which in turns allows the coaster to have a short lift and a longer first drop. Here are some early construction shots! The cobra roll and "drunken" vertical loop! the ditch the revised version! The original design was to go into a wrap around corkscrew...but that didnt work out as well as I wanted it to. drop again Showing off the first drop.
sfotkid Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Is there really a Eurofighter with a section like that after the lift? Anyways that pretty cool!
DarkStitch626 Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 ^ Yes Mystery Mine's larger lift has that section. Its lookin great, keep up the good work.
kraken613 Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Impresive! We have our own Euro-Fighter designer now!
Golfie Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Dang... so many people are releasing Eurofighters now... I don't really want to send mine out now
jarmor Posted January 19, 2008 Author Posted January 19, 2008 Thanks for the replies! Ok im what I think is halfway thru now. This coaster will be the eurofighter to end all lol (not really but I think it's one of my most creative projects to date. I was gonna go w/ the "creature from the black lagoon" scheme but still cannot figure out a theme for it. What I am trying to do is use the ditch to it's maximum capacity and I think i will achieve that. Well anyway here are some more progress shots Here is the helix and probably the only one you will see on this coaster. I loathe helices because i'm not good at them AT ALL!! Ok...back on "track" here is the section after the brake run. OOPS! Premature shot! hummm I always wondered how a eurofighter would look w/ two drops side-by-side... testing out the speed that is needed to take for the horseshoe I forgot to add this picture last time of the wrap around corkscrew.
IwantRevenge Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 looks really cool a lot like Mystery mine
kraken613 Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 ^ Thats what I was thinking! Just the small drop and horseshoe turn! Great job though! I will one day get No Limits!
jarmor Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 ^ & ^^ yeah I did pay a little homage to mystery mine. I think that is a really cool section of the coaster on MM so I decided to bororrow a tad bit of it. And we're back with more construction shots. Start work on the second half of the coaster and basically the plan is to continue on the homestretch. Well here are the shots! Stay tuned it will be finish and ready to download before you know it! Another shot of it! as much as I hate building helices I felt this one was needed! tunnel testing the support! Testing out the speed thru the overbank, as well out testing out blocking on the coaster. New movie coming this summer... "The hills have overbank turns"!
Twister II Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Im really interested to see how this ends up! I really like building eurofighters, and making (or trying to) make one right now!
Adrenaline_Rush Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 This things awesome! Thats basically it so yeah...cant wait to see how it progresses....ummm....yeah.... P.S. please make a video onride for us non city slickers without them fancy games and contraptions that you'em folk call a umm'en no limitses doohicky simulatoror. That would be emm'en much'en appreciemed.
sfotkid Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Yeah I hate Helixes too! Looking good though! ^ And for tarnations sake If yer lookin to talk like one of us hill billies ya gotta hav bad gramma like dis! I kinda went ganster torwads the end!
jarmor Posted January 22, 2008 Author Posted January 22, 2008 The time has come! The construction is complete and the coaster is ready for download. The end result is: Heighest point: 89.5 Top speed: 45+ Inversions: 6 (cobra roll, drunken loop, immelman, overbank turn, inline roll) Track lenth: 2,739.00 Trains: 5 This is a fun coaster that packs a "punch" and has a very unique layout that takes advantage of a ditch in the middle of the construction site. Here are some final progress shots and the track to download. I will do a video as soon as I can for all you people who dont have NL! a look back... hill.nltrack You ever wonder why I never showed the second "drop" well download the coaster and you will find your answer! The "transfer" track and mantaince shed. lol the ending!
jarmor Posted January 23, 2008 Author Posted January 23, 2008 DOUBLE POST!!! But it's for a good reason! ditch.mpg
schrubber Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Good job. A tiny little bit bumpy at some places, but that doesn`t matter... Greetings schrubber
Steffen_Dk Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Colours were boring, but that's also the only bad thing I can say about this coaster... The track was smooth and the layout was really fun... Especially the ending was a surprise for me - I did not expect that
kraken613 Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 ^ Ive gotta agree that some better colors would be nice!
dr.gumbo Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 No other word for it but amazing but I've got time on my hands so I'll expand a bit. It had a really cool and fun layout, something not found on most Euro-fighters made on Nolimits and was very smooth. I agree that the colours are a bit dissapointing but I'd thought I'd spend some time to make a suggestion. I know its simular to MM but It's the best I could come up with, also I suggest putting in a few trees to make it look a bit more realistic. I suggest using the same brown used on the cars for the supports and using a darker grey for the track. BTW If you want me to shut up just say! EDIT:Whats is name by the way?
Théo the little french Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Very good job! It was very funny, very interesting and very realistic! But I don't like the fact it's completely white/grey...
