LMAO! Well, what can I say? I don't even go for the rides most of the time. I go to see my folks and take advantage of their their hot tub and cheap strong drinks @ their sh*thole corner bar - the piers/boardwalk are the cherry on top.

On the real tho I just go for Macks Pizza.

I need to see this sh*thole bar, but at the same time you would need to pry me away from Joe's which simply because of it's location is now one of my favorite bars ever. I could die happy there after a few crushes and garlic clams.

LOL its actually not as bad as I make it out to be - they've made quite a few improvements in the last couple of years, in fact they just added an outdoor deck area overlooking the back bay. Still definitely divey for sure. Next summer we'll go there. Oh and also the Cape May Brewery.

Well it's happening. Get your last rides on the old Nor'easter by this weekend, they shuttin that piece of crap down. I really can't wait to see what happens with this thing. Naturally I'll be down a bunch over the winter and will most definitely get all up on that beach to document the action for yall.

That's almost better than a totally new coaster!

Noreaster was definitely in the bottom 10 coasters I've ever been on and worst SLC overall, even with those restraints. Hope it becomes rideable!

In an e-mail I got after the Coastin' by the Ocean event, they said that they were still planning to begin major renovation of the Nor'Easter, and in the video they said that people have their last chance to ride it "as it stands today". So unless they decided to make a drastic change in plans, I'd be cautiously optimistic.

Let us know if the experience was closer to getting hit by a truck or going over Niagara Falls in a steel barrel.

Normally, I'd be disappointed to not get on a particular coaster before it closed, but with a Vekoma SLC, there is no such feeling! I just wish they would have never bothered to re-open T2 as T3, as that would have spared me THAT experience! Hopefully whatever refurb is done to this coaster, will have a little bit better resultant effect.

^ Unfortunately that seems to be the general feeling from enthusiasts towards Moreys which is a shame IMO cause its much more about the coasters. Great flats, food, atmosphere. Booze on the boardwalk is great now too. Also, with last years retracking, Great White is running spectacularly. And the boomerang is one of the better ones.

Regarding Nor'easter, within one hour of its closure yesterday the trains were off and deconstruction has begun. I'm stoked.

Good riddance, I have no desire to get back to Morey's until they get their first good coaster.

pffft... clearly you haven't experienced the glory of the Flitzer. It's so insane that it requires no less than 800 seatbelts in order for it to be safe to ride.

To be fair though I found Great White to be highly underrated. I'm told it ran rough in years past but it's running great now. Even then though, I found it to be the 4th best ride in the park after Zoom Floom, "It" and Skyscraper. That's not a knock on Great White though, I just thought those rides were awesome.
