The new viking land will have two pull up towers, like this:

Only they will have a much more awesome theme. These gigant 7-8 feet helmets will be on top of them.

I think it will look really good once done.

_Koppen, is this a Huss Pirate?

It sure is! HUSS make the best looking swinging ships in the world IMO (I really like the more "wide legged frisbee" looking structure, as opposed to the tight more common structures that can be seen on ex the new ship at Holiday World.

It's also too bad they didn't go with Zierer Family Drop Towers.

I love the Zierer family towers! I think all parks should have them.

Djurs allready have a great family drop tower though, it's a pretty cool ride from ABC.

It's themed to a saber sword, and it also tilts to the sides during the ride.

It's a very fun ride, not as intense as the Zierer towers though.

a video.

When was the last time before this when HUSS sold a Pirate? Great to have a new one - hope they have not changed on the lapbars as they offer great feels in the rear rows of each side giving you enough room to slip up the bench a little...

I think it's been quite a while since the last one. I think there is another one going in to the new Romon World park in China this year as well.

The ship is now on site, and it looks really good!

I always been thinking that to few of the worlds swinging ships are themed to vikings, it's nice to see another one.

Cool - looks like the shields will open and close to allow entry and exit...
I'm thinking more of Entering and Exiting on the Same Side. Complicating a Simple Ride like this would be a Headache! lol

^you are like right. But wouldn't that be real cool? If I am thinking about it I cannot name one Pirate were entry and exit is on the same side...

That aside if you have those doors air-powered like ride gates there should not be any major problems - never known these things to fail...

Since the Lap Bars are Hydraulic, and those are a pain in the but as it is anyway, adding yet more moving parts seems like a lot more trouble than they would be worth. People pushing up on them or pulling them down cause enough problems as it is.

The ship at Drayton Manor does single side loading and unloading.

Every year their is this TV interview with the CEO about what is new, I really like to watch them. It's all in Dannish, but you can see some great footage of the new Viking land.

He also mentions the reason the Viking ship won't open until June 5th is that the delivery time for the ride didn't allow them to get all parts before then.

I think it all looks very nice!

(After the video...)

It really looks nice in how everything is set up, there.

I especially liked the wooden tables and backed benches

there around the lake, for enjoying meals while

watching the Viking ship rock.

Pirates and Vikings at this park!

How great is that???

New for 2015 is a long awaited new children/family area. Almost 8 million USD is invested in this.

The old kids area known as "Lilleputland" will be completely demolished and all the rides have been sold. It will be replaced with new rides and the whole area will be themed to a farm, which is rather unique here in northern Europe. The new area will have 10 new rides. I really love this idea, as this area is one of the last places in the park in bad need of being upgraded to the new standard of the park.

A lot of rides looks to be from Zamperla like Magic Bikes, Barnyard, Jump Around and Demolition Derby. There will also be a tractor ride, which I'm guessing is from ABC rides, Djurs have a great relationship with them. Looks like a Zierer Force Two coaster is being built, which is awesome as the old wacky worm were just crappy. Also from Zierer looks to be two family drop towers and Dragon Boats. Also 2 more rides, one I can see on the map but don't know what it is (some kind of airplane ride?) and the last one I can't see.

This was pretty much the only area of the park that 'stuck out' as out of place and kind of carnival like. It will be awesome when done!
