Jew Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Dallas gets the benefit of a missed call and follows it up by being screwed by the correct call based on a silly rule.
willthegolfer Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 ^I'm a packer fan and agree it's a silly rule, but it is a rule, and Bryant could not maintain possession through the catch. I am scared about Seattle next week though.
cfc Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Dallas gets the benefit of a missed call and follows it up by being screwed by the correct call based on a silly rule. Â Yeah, I shed no tears for the Cowboys over that one.
Philrad71 Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 That certainly seemed like a case of karma, didn't it? Perhaps Jerruh Jones didn't pay the refs enough money this week? Â I have seen both the Detroit and Packers calls go either way in other games, but it's sad when the outcome of a playoff game is heavily influenced by a botched (or seemingly botched) call by the officials.
gisco Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I used to love football and watched every Sunday but over the years I have lost interest because of all the rules. I only occasionally watch now. I missed the catch, non-catch this weekend.
Meteornotes Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 What's killing the NFL for me is their stupid TV policy. There should always be two games on at 1 and 4 EST on a Sunday. Just because someone happens to live close to a stadium does not mean that they want to watch that team every week (especially if it's DC!). And instead of assuming for some strange reason that people here in Baltimore are obsessed with catching every Cleveland Browns game, show the best match up. Â Really hoping the next TV contract breaks DirecTV's stranglehold on Sunday Ticket. The rumored similar packages being proposed by Google and Netflix would certainly help. Â dt
tarheel1231 Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Wow, 2 years in a row. Seahawks vs. Pats for XLIX.

I missed the catch, non-catch this weekend. Â I've lost interest in it too, although I did catch the end of the Packers/Seahawks game yesterday. I think I just got tired with the excessive commercial breaks, not to mention the "replay" officiating, which slows the game to a crawl.
Jew Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I don't mind replay officials. I hate incorrect calls having a huge impact on a game.
Philrad71 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 So what does everyone think of "Deflate-gate"? Â Should be interesting to see what the NFL does with the Patriots this time. My guess is a heftier fine than Spygate and another first round pick for next year.
Genx24 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 ^ I think its a witch hunt, and if it was a team other than the Patriots, it would already be forgotten about. Every team doctors balls to their QBs preference, and the ref approved all of the Patriots balls 2 hours before kick off last Sunday. It's much ado about nothing.
805Andrew Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 I'm rooting for the NFC West in the Super Bowl. This year it should be a good game, and not a blowout like last year as the blowout game was in the semifinals.

If the balls were altered between the time the ref approved them and the game, then at the very least the patriots should be heavily fined. Neither team complained during the game so it is a non-issue as far as the game goes.
willthegolfer Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 I think deflating the balls made no difference in the outcome of the game, but still it is cheating and they should be punished regardless of whether it affected the outcome or not.
Jew Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Tom Brady having to answer countless question about his deflated balls is probably the best thing to happen to the NFL in a long time. So hilarious.

So hilarious. Â I agree...too funny. Â Should be interesting to see media week as it looks like it's going to be more of a trash-talk fest than anything else. Between Deflate-Gate, Marshawn's crotch grabs, Sherman and the Seahawks defense talking trash about everybody, Brady and Belichick being their usual selves...it certainly has the making of one Klassy Super Bowl! Â I don't care who wins as long as I win something on the office pools in which I invested $145...and hoping for good commercials, of course.
tarheel1231 Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 It might be a little early to say this, but I want Green Bay to go to Super bowl 50. It's going to be a historic game, so it only makes sense for a historic team to play in it.
GCI Wooden Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 According to a girrafe the Patriots are going to win. http://www.parkjourney.com/industry-news/la-zoos-artie-the-giraffe-picks-super-bowl-winner
Genx24 Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Big news surrounding the Giants, both good and bad. Last night, Odell Beckham Jr. took home his well deserved Rookie of the Year award (the numbers he put up after missing 4 games is incredible) And sadly, this morning, the team matriarch, Ann Mara passed away at the age of 85. RIP to her. Â As for tonight: Go Pats.
tarheel1231 Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I want Seattle to win (because I hate the Patriots with all of my being), but I have a bad feeling that New England will walk home with the Lombardi.
