  1. Being at Circus Circus didn't already provide an ample amount of horrific screams?
  2. If you have to ask this question, then you probably won't ever *get it* no matter how hard you try. I think it's beautiful. And an Aston engine produces one of the sweetest sounds known to man.
  3. Definitely! Thanks for posting!
  4. If the day ever comes where I'm considering a trip back to Vegas because of an amusement park, someone please shoot me.
  5. I guess it wasn't really until this last update that I got that sense of "having to remind yourself that you're on a ship" you spoke of. The quality of everything you showed looked amazing. And the food.....wow. Yeah, October's gonna be good.
  6. Our only 2010 visit to SFOG on the last weekend of October. It was the absolute worst park visit anytime, or anywhere I've ever been. The only saving grace is that we didn't pay for it....literally anyway. And why would I post this in the "favorite theme park memory" thread? Because it reminded me of one VERY important SFOG rule: Visits early in the season = Good. Visits late in the season = Toss of the coin....but usually Bad. It's good to be reminded of certain things every now and then.
  7. Huey Lewis rules. Thanks for the video! Well played.
  8. Some people will just never learn. You don't bring a knife to a gunfight. And if you wanna bash someone bigger than you, do it in the privacy of your own gravy buffet line...not over the internet.
  9. This report has been so good, I've forgotten what day it is. Thanks for all the info on what's included/not included.
  10. So I guess it'd be pretty easy now to blow up this guy's phone like we did Ryan's, huh? Scott "I'm a fan of the high road though" B.
  11. Sheesh, what do you guys know about this kind of stuff?
  12. Robb, any idea if the Freedom has those "automated" poker tables? That'd be a real shame if so. A couple other things: - That's pretty cool of RCCL to tweet about the report! - There's something very sadistic and creepy about that carousel carving pic. Perhaps you're the next HHN icon? Jack the Clown, the Caretaker, the Director, the Carousel Carver.....Michael Roddy, are you reading this? Scott "hoping for real cards on the felt in October" B.
  13. As a fridge magnet connoisseur (which has zero meaning), I've gotta go with A. Stats are nice and all, but only if that remains the biggest ship in the world, which I'm probably sure it won't. Plus, it just looks better to me.
  14. See, I think this is exactly why "Cars" is so brilliant. Also, I think there was plenty of satirical material in the film (the range of personalities for the characters alone provided a ton of it). But personally, what I find most enjoyable about Pixar films is the intelligence by which a story is told through mostly non-human subjects. It's what makes the films truly endearing. In fact, my least favorite Pixar film is The Incredibles, which not coincidentally is centered around "human" characters.
  15. I think starting threads to bash Rob(b) and TPR must be the new form of advertising. Hell, I had no idea GLT or TN even existed.
  16. That "My ***Account" thread is cute. Bless their hearts. Edit: Also in that thread, I think it speaks volumes that a former friend of Robb's would still go so far as to completely defend R&E's trips in the midst of the false information that was spewed in a failed mudslinging attempt.
  17. If he knows this, could you please follow up with, "What are the winning Florida Lotto numbers for the rest of February?"
  18. Which is exactly what it needs. Screw all the tv analysts and newspaper columnists calling for stricter rule enforcement, and "gentlemanly play" blah blah blah. Eff that. I'm calling for even more blood on the ice, at least a six team retraction from the league, a new ESPN contract with Gary Thorne and Bill Clement back in the booth, and players beating fans with their own shoes (Mike Milbury is STILL my hero). Oh, and I also still want Bettman's head on a platter. Happy Valentine's Day!
  19. When I saw Metallica in 1994 I was probably in the best shape of my life, pretty muscular and had been in a LOT of mosh pits. The pit for them and Suicidal Tendencies (who opened for them) pretty much destroyed me. The only one that came close to that intense was Rage Against The Machine. Back in the day, I was in my fair share of pits as well, but my vote goes to White Zombie for the worst one I've ever witnessed. The amount of skinheads, and utter disregard for human life, was simply amazing.....and frightening. I counted at least 4 unconscious bodies being dragged from the pit before they were 4 songs into their set. Rob Zombie couldn't have paid me to mix it up in that one!
  20. In regards to the animal habitats, to what extent do decibel levels play a part when designing a major ride such as Cheetah Hunt?
  21. Totally expected a Mallrats quote here. Love the pics! They've got me anxious for October!
  22. ^ Meh. Back then I hated that strike too. I like to at least pretend I'm older and a bit wiser now. I could easily go years without pro football, if it meant a group of self-important a$$hats would take a big hit to their wallets. There's plenty of other sports to keep me content. Greed sucks. End of story.
  23. Yeah, I've seen a few too many episodes of Locked Up Abroad. Oh sure, the stories mostly involved drug smuggling, but either way, I'll just "conform" for a little while, thanks. Returning safely to my home, family, and friends is slightly better than chancing a foreign prison....or grave.....especially over something as silly as disrespect for one's culture. That's just me, though. Oh, and Miami Dolphins coaster FTW.
