Erik & Smisty's Florida Oddventures

And to think, the place used to have a free circus in there too.....as in elephants, tigers, trapeze acts, the whole nine yards. I'm sure any longtime South Floridian can remember the term "Free Circus!!" from the countless commercials they used to run. -

Well, it's definitely one of the better looking kit cars I've ever seen. Still, the people who own kit cars amaze me. It's like trying to pretend their blow up doll is the equivalent of Scarlett Johansson.

The people in question are standing slightly southwest of it. It's not the exact southernmost point on the island....just a monument to symbolically identify the general area. -

Thanks for the advice, Dave! I just got done perusing their sites, and I'm definitely gonna look into trying at least a couple of those places next time we're down island. -

Dave, out of those you mentioned, how many did you dine at, and which was your favorite? And, by chance, have you dined at The Commodore? Also, thanks for the Sunset Key restaurant mention. It's interesting you feel it lacked in quality, considering the price. Good to know! March is my absolute favorite month of the year in Key West, weather-wise anyway. -

Best Ride at Universal Orlando?

Those "moving sidewalks" between the parks and the parking garage offer an interesting ride.....depending on how many stationary morons you have to navigate through. -

Thanks for the updates, Adam. I haven't followed along too close, but is there any chance that this will, or will eventually use the "talking" Mickey technology they tested at DL? -

^ Generally, 6 1/2 to 7 hours is a safe bet. My friend, truer words have never been spoken. And that's exactly why I LOVE and miss Key West SOOOOOO much. Breakfast at Blue Moon should not be missed on your next visit! How do you get to that small island you mentioned? Well, you pay an exorbitant amount of cash, jump on a small boat, and end up at Sunset Key. Something I hope to do next October. Loved this report! -

Read back over page 8, and this, which I believe is what you've mentioned. Although I'd like to say more, I'm not at liberty to discuss the details. After speaking with the owner, I'll just say I'm satisfied with knowing what I know. And for the record, it's every other carnival ride that doesn't have individual private ownership that concerns me a bit.

Nothing, as long as "grit" and "dirty play" don't get confused. I completely agree that every team needs grit. Some of my favorite players ever were the tough, "gritty" type who still had some skill....Cam Neely, Tie Domi, Bob Probert, Ted Lindsay, Dino Ciccarelli, Wendell Clark, Stu Grimson, Terry O'Reilly, etc. (okay, admittedly the last two couldn't even score with a hooker, but still). Then there's dirty/disguisingly dirty players like Ovi, Lindros, Dale Hunter, Ulf Samuelson, Claude Lemieux, Bobby Clarke, Wayne Cashman, and even Billy Smith. Bottom line, grit, toughness, and braun are a necessity for any team's "enforcer." I just don't like cheap shots. Scott "just realized that many of you probably never saw some of those guys play" B.

Has Peterson also promised them a pill that will allow them to be 50 steps ahead of everyone else? -
^^ Hmm, interesting stuff there. Compared to KB, that stuff looks totally rogue....and pretty fun too. I wonder how it evolved into that? And yeah, the Kick Boodie concept on a Star Flyer would scare the crap out of me. Thanks again, guys for the comments and compliments! Stuff like this makes the effort worthwhile. Now, in the name of journalistic integrity, I feel compelled to take a moment and respond to several posted YouTube comments. Yes. The only injuries occurred when certain folks tried to attain the prestigious "Darwin Award." No. It was 55:00. I'll release the extra on the Special Edition DVD, with director commentary. Magic. Just a step below walking into a nuclear reactor on the brink of meltdown. You're welcome!

In related news, I hear the Canadiens are calling for league-wide changes in MLB too following the news that the Braves minor league skipper has officially lost his eye after taking a fluke line drive foul ball to the head. Maybe a criminal investigation into Brian McCann as well, right? Have I mentioned I effing hate Montreal?
