  1. Looks like there is some additional news on the Texas City park. They actually have a facebook page now. Here's what they posted on the page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Playland-Park/456425797759982
  2. I actually liked the Georgia Cyclone since it reminded me so much of the old Texas cyclone.
  3. As always, amazing video Robb. I actually have a free weekend this week and I live 10 hours away. I am really tempted to do a road trip now.
  4. Runaway Mountain at SFOT last Saturday.
  5. Sundays are usually pretty good but it is spring break. I rode it last Saturday and due to the rain storms the park was empty. NTAG was a walk on. The red train seemed to run a bit faster than the black one. Both are running quite fast.
  6. Just got a confirmation that I am in for Saturday.
  7. Sent in my email a couple of days ago. I don't think they are going to pick me since I can only make it on Saturday. Need to save my vacation days for upcoming coaster and ski trips. I did the insane coaster wars shoot last year and it was a lot of fun.
  8. The serpent at Six Flags Astroworld. Rode it a couple of years after the park opened and when the park was just called Astroworld without the flags.
  9. ^ Conneaut Park does sit on a really nice site. I remember riding blue streak on a car with two of its three seats missing. When I went to the park it looked like a scary abandoned amusement park, kind of like on a Scooby Doo episode.
  10. I have to say it is either Conneaut Lake or Dixieland Fun Park near Atlanta.
  11. HEB Root Beer with real cane sugar.

  16. Could it be Grizzly at King's Dominion?
  17. It would be the Boardwalk Bullet for me. I just went to It'Z recently and they took down IT'Z express. They replaced it with an extended bowling alley. At least I got the credit last year.
  18. I am glad that Southwest flys directly to to Branson now. I need to book my tickets.
  19. ^You beat me to it. Great video . It was shot with the phone in the vertical but I am not complaining. Wish I was a test dummy in the video.

  21. Great report. Makes me want to go back to NYC. Every time I visit there, I always find something new. I actually thought SFA was a pretty decent park. Did the whole park in about 4 hours last June. The only bad thing that really stuck in my mind was the extremely depressing squeaky train ride that gave you a tour of abandoned fields and went about 2 miles an hour. I think I have a video of it somewhere.
  22. 3 way tie between NTAG, El Toro and Skyrush.
  23. Here's an interesting video of what's inside Fontainbleau.
  24. One of my dreams is to build a theme park in Houston, TX. It is the perfect location for one. I wish I had the money to transform the abandoned Astrodome into a year round theme park with air conditioning. There is no competition at the moment and being the fourth largest city without a theme park it should be a no brainer to make money. The astrodome is located on the light rail which will be great for tourists and locals alike. The only obstacle is to get past the local politics that are preventing a project to flourish in the Astrodome. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has a lot of power here and I think they want the dome destroyed.
