  1. Thanks Robb and crew for putting on another great WCB. I know how hard it is to put on these events and your hard work is much appreciated. Hope there will be more in the coming years. SFMM morning ERT was amazing. The afternoon may have gotten pretty crowded so we took a little break for the park. Late in the evening everything got a bit better. X2 was almost a walk on. Knott's as usual was amazing. Great food, great ERT, and great behind the scenes. Ghost rider was simply amazing. Thanks again for all who worked on putting together this great event.
  2. Tickets for both nights bought. Plane tickets bought. Car rental reserved. Just need to find a cheap and not too sketchy motel. Perhaps I should try AirBnB? Last year was great. Can't wait to ride the new Ghost Rider. Also will be getting in some days at Disneyland before WCB. I have to get my money's worth for the premiere passport I that I sold my soul for.
  3. Rode over 470 coasters with contacts and have not lost one. Never really had dry eye issues on coasters. I usually get dry eyes while driving for long periods of time or watching too much TV. I think the G forces of a coaster helps to increase circulation around the old eyeballs and creates more tears.
  4. Great trip report. Love the photos and videos. I was lucky enough to attend the the last half of the last day of the expo. I was flying in for an impromptu Orlando trip since I have AP's to all of the parks and got $43 round trip tickets from Houston. Did not know about the expo until a couple of days before my trip. The line to get in the expo went a lot faster than the posted time. I was able to see and record most of the film talent Q&A. Here's the video if anyone is interested. Again great trip report. Personally I like the fact that Orlando is becoming a Mecca for all us nerds. It just needs some anime now. Oh wait the Japan pavilion at EPCOT.
  5. It is definitely one of my favorites. I love the large number of head choppers as it dives into tunnels and trenches.
  6. I did not know about the policy until a year ago. That was when I saw a bunch of kids with GoPro chest mounts go on Falcon's Fury. I was thinking that they would be stopped, but to my surprise they were allowed on. I then googled and found out about their policy. According to the policy, the chest mount has to be by GoPro and the ride op still has final say on whether you can use it. At Busch Garden's Williamsberg you have to check in with guest relations and they will give you a card that tells the ride op that your GoPro mount has been checked and cleared. Of course no cameras are allowed at Universal, Six Flags or Cedar Fair and I will adhere to park policy. Don't want to set a bad example for us enthusiasts.
  7. Mako does look like a very good coaster. I was at the park last week, the coaster was quite massive looking from Kraken. Here's a video I shot from Kraken with Mako construction in the back. I like how Busch and Seaworld parks allow chest mounted GoPros on rides.
  8. I was actually on the last public ride of the Texas Cyclone. Here's a video I shot of that last ride.
  9. I actually liked the stunt show but getting the two new lands is a good trade. I did get a chance to see the Star Wars fireworks and it was really good. I heard a rumor that they may add some video overlays to the show like how they do for Disneyland Forever at Disneyland.
  10. Great video of the fireworks Robb. I was actually crazy enough to torture myself with 5 hours of camping out in front of the castle on New Years Eve to watch the fireworks. Here's a video that I took of the insanity and the sea of cell phones. It was a great show but I am not sure if I want to do the five hour wait thing again. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]

  13. Can't wait for WCB and some time at Disneyland before and after. I wonder if we will see a return of the raccoons at the Superman line for ERT?
  14. Great trip report and pics. Just saw this on the internet recently. Lambert's the restaurant that throws rolls near Branson is being sued by a man for getting injured by a roll. So make sure to pay attention to the flying rolls when you go to Lambert's after a trip to Silver Dollar City. fox2now.com/2015/08/13/man-sues-throwed-rolls-restaurant-after-he-was-hit-injured-by-roll/ Customer sues ‘Throwed Rolls’ restaurant after being hit, injured by roll OZARK, Mo. — A well-known Missouri restaurant, known for being the “Home of Throwed Rolls,” may be in some hot water over a guest who allegedly received a roll-related injury. Lambert’s Cafe, which features dinner rolls being thrown across the room by servers to guests, is being sued. The suit was filed on Tuesday by Troy Tucker. The customer claims to have “sustained a lacerated cornea with a vitreous detachment and all head, neck, eyes and vision were severely damaged” after being hit by a dinner roll during a visit in September of 2014. Tucker is seeking $25,000 to cover medical bills and legal fees. The restaurant’s “carelessness and negligence” as the lawsuit alleges has already caused expenses totaling $10,000. The lawsuit claims that the restaurant should have known about the dangers involved in their signature practice. Johnny Fugitt, of the River Front Times, points out that Tucker may not have much of a case considering that back in June, Slugger and the Kansas City Royals were deemed to have not been at fault after a thrown hot dog hit a man in the face and tore his retina. Fugitt said in that case, the “baseball rule” was referenced, and that by voluntarily entering a baseball stadium the victim assumed some responsibility for personal awareness. She points out that “Home of Throwed Rolls” is posted all over, which could mean Lambert’s diners assume they are putting themselves at risk of being hit by a flying roll, upon entering the establishment. Lambert’s general manager, Jerry Johnson, told KFVS servers never intend to hurt anyone when they throw rolls.

  18. 4 hours of Xcelorator!!. Can't wait. I have to make sure that all my stuff is held in my zipper pockets. That ride sucked a camera out of my pocket one time. It also pulled my wallet out of my pocket during one WCB and it rained cash, credit cards, and season passes on everyone. Luckily I got everything back. Still is one of my favorite coasters. Can't wait to marathon it.
  19. Great report. I definitely have to try the steak and eggs when I go to Disneyland before the WCB this year.
  20. Xcelerator water challenge perhaps?
  21. Can't wait to try some night rides on Twisted Colossus. I was not able to get any in the last time I was there.
  22. Got my hotel booked, airplane tickets purchased and the WCB tickets bought. All ready to go. Can't wait.
  23. Just signed up. This is always a great event to go to. ERT on Twisted Colossus is going to be great. I may stay a couple of extra days for Disneyland.
  24. Adventureland , Des Moines, Iowa, USA. Part of my current cross country trip.
