I think you will find the Moonsault Scramble ride is made by Meisho http://rcdb.com/id1292.htm So you can't blame the ride on Vekoma.

Theme Park Review POSTING RULES!
kenshinmac replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Robb can we add quite specifically to the rules that people should not post about how to illegally obtain software... I see this come up occasionally in the video game board and have seen similar posts in the other boards. I do try to suggest editing the posts and the like but having a specific rule to point to would help. I always try to suggest open-source alternatives to software that people are looking for so that I can at least help. -

Guys edit those posts... Downloading commercial software is illegal and discussing it is just asking for a banning... There are plenty of free options. Try downloading the GIMP from http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/ and you get a Windows installer that should set you up(make sure you download GTK as well as you will need it. It is on the same site). That will give you many of the features of Photoshop and it is free and you don't get in trouble. -
Sweetwater Valley Theme Park
kenshinmac replied to ELZ's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Please please stop posting one picture per post... It is really annoying... Put your comments on the file area... Then it will show comments directly below the picture so we can look at it at th same time instead of endless scrolling... Oh and on that note smaller pictures would probably be better... -

Definitely like the turnaround more... Another thing you could try with the airtime hills is throwing in a double up or double down on one of them to take up that extra space. It will vary things up and would be a cool mix in the ride. -

Honestly I don't like the turnaround... It looks painful. I think if you went with a upwards corner to start then a turn and a downward corner as the exit it would probably be more comfy. Also varying the airtime hills height will make it look a little better. -
Track Updates for RCT3????
kenshinmac replied to a topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Track updates? You mean like more styles of tracks? Those only come with expansions. Or do you mean like pre-made tracks? Those you can download from anywhere and you can also import RCT2 and RCT1 tracks to use. -

kenshinmac replied to dragoncoaster1292's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Ok just a bit of constructive criticism... The whole 2nd person story telling just doesn't really work. Tell it first person or third person. It should either be the perspective of the person experiencing it or a specific person experiencing it not vaguely targeting your reader. So please try to keep the stories like "I went to the park" or something similar as it is much more engaging. Otherwise it is pretty good but that building for the Wooden Coaster is just dull... Try making a different queue and enhancing the outside of it. -
You need to make the file a jpg instead of a bitmap. Just save as (in paint or use save in the windows picture and fax viewer) and you should get an option to save as a jpeg/jpg. That will shrink the filesize a ton. You see Bitmaps are uncompressed image files and those take a ton of space. Jpegs are a standard that is fairly lossy but it is plenty good for pics on the internet.

Honestly try downloading Firefox and install that on your PC. Internet Explorer might be hosed but that isn't the only browser out there... If IE is hosed though you should probably format the machine and start over... Make sure to backup before you do that though. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ You should be able to put that on a cd or something and load it onto your machine. Hope that helps you get back on the net. -
Ok first.... A 85 degree drop is not straight down... It is a 90 degree drop by definition. A 400 ft wooden coaster is all but impossible as it would be prohibitively expensive to build the supporting structure necessary for it. Finally you haven't even included a file to add onto nor said what game or anything else...

Tpr Track Tennis V 2.0
kenshinmac replied to ArrowHater's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
You have to put it in a RCT3 folder... It should be in your My Documents folder. Put it in scenarios or something and then just look for it in the same category you put it in when you start up the game. -
Well this is kinda a punch in the gut at this time of day... I hadn't heard about this before and now I find the Elitches could be closing... Plus Magic Mountain that I want to visit now that Tatsu is open... I honestly knew that something was coming as they were gonna have to try something radical to get back to treading water... I'm just really not sure what the future will hold though as if Elitches gets closed we are down to almost nothing anywhere near here... I honestly can't imagine that the city of Denver would allow the site to just be sold... It has got to be about the only regular family entertainment draw to the Downtown area...

Ok most likely your problem is that the files are still bitmaps or that they are too large in size to upload. Check that the file type is jpg or jpeg. If it isn't just open it in Windows and then in the Fax & Picture viewer or in Paint just saveAs and make sure to save the file as a jpg or jpeg (same thing one is just the 3 letter version). If that is not the problem then open the picture in paint and you can change the image size. Just reduce it a bit in size and then saveAs again. Hope that helps... -
Tpr Track Tennis V 2.0
kenshinmac replied to ArrowHater's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Oh and you had best not allow custom scenery if you wish to allow compatibility between versions of RCT3. Wild requires different versions of the custom scenery and will likely cause incompatibilities between versions. -

I did this sort of thing ages ago... It isn't exactly new here but there will likely be the same problem where is someone with Soaked opens a file without it will convert it. Well unless there is a new patch that fixes that. I think Wild corrected that problem. -
Best (and worst) "Sounds" on a coaster
kenshinmac replied to Jon Sabo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
OMG you want to hear something terrifying you should hear the Boomerang at Elitch Gardens... I am not kidding when I say that those sounds are not natural. Plus how on earth does the chain lift thrash the entire train twice when the it disengages? I really want to know... It is just the most incredibly uncomfortable thing for me. -
Pacific Point Boardwalk
kenshinmac replied to NitroRider's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Um just a point... I think typically nothing on a boardwalk type area goes underground... It would be difficult with the salt water and the high water table. I think typically most boardwalks are built up above the height of the water for this reason. -
Oh yeah people getting excited about Hollywood cashing in on the latest street racing fad... Oh no that movie couldn't suck at all... No nothing like the first movies which sucked so much they practically caused a major climatic change over the entire North American continent... Pretty lights under a car make idiots who watch these movies forgive everything I swear... Ok yeah... I'm pretty damn pissed... Good movies languish in theaters and these movies make a killing... WTH is wrong with this country?

Nope that's Hyland Hills WaterWorld here in Colorado. It is the ONLY waterpark I know of with darkride style water rides. The two that are in the park are Lost River of the Pharohs and Voyage to the Center of the Earth. http://www.waterworldcolorado.com/ It is a great park and has a lot of fun rides... Just watch the sun when you are in CO because it will burn you in no time... SPF 30 is practically the minimum at this altitude and apply at least twice a day.

Honestly way too many little fences and there just doens't seem to be that much to see... Nothing really pops out at you. You need something to draw attention like a tall ride or something that attracts the eye... The whole park is very brown right now. -

RCT-Gold error!
kenshinmac replied to DarkStitch626's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
It looks like somehow it couldn't start Direct3d... Sounds like an install problem or a problem with the computer... Your graphics card might be a problem depending on what you have... I can't really tell you as that error is pretty nondescript. -

Guys this board is supposed to be for fun... Can we please let this die... It doesn't matter how the kids entry was selected... He won and you guys can say what you want but that isn't going to change anything... How about instead of swearing up and down that you are better you just have fun and create something to share with us all. Enjoy the game... Nothing else matters...
