  1. Um no... It is F10... I am 99% sure... I will check it later.
  2. Please please torrent it... Preferably something like and MPEG4 file that anyone can play but I can try to deal with most things... Those of us in the US havnen't gotten it yet because Discovery seems to care more for the dumb tweaking shows... Still they did give us Mythbusters so I can't completely fault them.
  3. You can't use custom creations terribly easily on RCT1. I would suggest getting RCT2 or 3.
  4. OMG... It came back... Almost half a year later it came back... LOL... I started this so long ago... Hope you guys have fun with it... I would probably add to it but I think if I did the file might become a Wild! file... Not sure if it still works that way but I might give it a try. Well have fun and make sure to take pics... That is the only rule other than not modifying what other people put in.
  5. I think we just need a TPR video podcast... I mean how cool would it be if Robb and Elissa made a good MPEG4 video at 320x240 (yes QT would likely be required but it would be nice and small) with a recap of the latest trip that automatically downloaded to your computer and iPod? Heck it could be simple fun and only show portions of POVs if that was a concern. We need some PodSize POVs... VideoPodcasts rock even on a computer... iTunes FOREVER!!!
  6. Ok yeah so sorry to break the whole topic right now but was that rust I saw at the top of the Kumali lift? I mean it doesn't seem like that should happen while it is under construction...
  7. Can we get a video of the Wild Mouse? I really want to see that baby at night... Especially with the "oh no duck" moment on the lift hill.
  8. You know I hear all this stuff on Colossus but the two trips I have had to Thorpe both days it was running beautifully... It didn't make this shimmy that people talk about and it was nice and quiet other than the wheels bearings... I was there last year and I loved the ride... I have heard other Intamins screech but I didn't hear it from Colossus. Is it possibly because both days I went were about 60-70 F?
  9. Is there any chance of a series of thrill ride shows? I mean it seems it would be easy to create a series on different companies and projects that they are working on for the future. I seem to remember there was a hour program on Arrow at one point and they were highlighting the creation of the ultimately unbuilt pipeline coaster. That was a really fun show to watch. I mean heck those S&S guys in Utah always have some crazy stuff going on(heck that boomer or whatever they call the 400ft drop ride and I wonder what they did with the Arrowbatic ideas)... What about profiling some of the smaller manufacturers of coasters and some of the crazy new designs like the one going in Walibi Belgium. I think we are about to hit a new period of crazy designs because parks just aren't willing to park with the money to build the blockbuster skyscraping coasters now. I guess I am really happy to get a new show but I would love to see some more consistent coverage of coasters as they are one of the few engineering items that are intended to provide a thrill instead of just a service. I would love to see more of what goes into the projects now that bigger isn't the plan. It should allow smaller manufacturers to get some spotlight too... BTW anyone know what Setpoint is doing these days?
  10. Those are both very old Intamin rides. I believe that Intamins designs are much more refined these days and riding something like Rita, Collosus, or the new Stealth at Thorpe should give you a better impression of the company these days. Personally I think the Intamins are a bit more noisy than B&M coasters but thats ok because new B&Ms just don't thrill me.
  11. Any idea when the US version will air? I've been wanting to see this ever since it was announced here... Any chances of it becoming annual? Again, any chance that someone can record it in CA so I can watch it without having to wait for the US Discovery to get over their Motor Tweaking and Survival everything... Seriously they just killed Monster House last night and I don't watch anything but Mythbusters and the occassional Coaster show on Discovery these days... Sigh... I remember when it was a really great network, now it is just trying to follow every mainstream trend. It is almost like a semi-educational MTV.
  12. You know the only thing you can say about the Stitch Encounter is that it has a heck of a capacity... That might be the only reason it is getting buit...
  13. No they aren't nuts they won't get rid of coasters at any great rate. I think that this has sealed the fate of the recent building frenzy of coasters... The recent golden age of the giant coaster is over. I have to say though that really I am amazed at the attitudes that the new people have coming in. They really seem to believe that they have all the answers but maybe that just comes with the territory in business. Honestly they realy have to look at the market that Six Flags has bred and I think they have to move in a new direction. They can't be Disney lite because it just isn't heading anywhere. You can't slap some slapdash scenery on a ride and call it themed. The reason that Disney is so popular is because they wrap you in a ride and make it an experience. Honestly I can't help but wonder what this season will bring. Will we see Six Flags pulling a Cedar Point next season? I mean I can't see people being happy about paying $15 for parking. I can't see people happy at paying more for a day admission at some parks than a season pass was last year... If I am being totally reasonable I have to think that the suggestions are solid but shortsighted. Parades are only a thrill when they are unique. Once you have seen a parade a couple of times it just doesn't do it anymore and besides they can't budget the amount that Disney does nor do they have the space in most parks. Similarly Stunt Shows are great attractions for young boys but most are so cheesy that parents are immeditately turned off and will only visit once. What they are doing is creating attractions that aren't repeat draws and they just don't seem to be able to see it. I mean this guy is an Ex-TV Exec right? You don't show re-runs all day long and expect people to keep tuning in. Same concept with parks... You gotta up the thrill and change up the content...
  14. Ugh... Stitch... Sorry People... Hong Kong just got owned...
  15. Ok so the question here is what is the legality of someone in Canada recording it and then compressing and torrenting it for us here? Please someone record it and torrent it for us... I really want to see this show. Oh and make it an MPEG4 or Divx or something easy to read...
  16. What they are thinking is beyond me... They are acting like the Six Flags parks are destination parks. They don't have that reputation at all and they won't gain it in any sort of decent time span. If they implement this kind of plan they need hotels on property, they need attractions you can't find anywhere else, and overall they need not to be just a park. They are heading down a dead end. It is great to attract families but to exist in the way they are proposing requires that you become more than a regional park. What they are doing right now is driving away the people who visited before because it was regional. Lets face it there is a reason that the destination parks are only typically 2 per chain tops. I mean lets face it Disney World and DisneyLand are the only two places that people think of similarly it is USH and USF. Heck you also have the two Busch Parks. Heck Cedar Fair really only has Knotts and Cedar Point. I can't see that they can economically offer a full regional portfolio like they have with enough to make them destination parks yet he never has addressed what will happen when a regional park fails to become anything more. Look I agree to start with that parks like Magic Mountain need to cut back on the huge rides and focus on some smaller rides for years between. But parks like Elitches and other smaller parks have seen very little in the way of action in general. Elitches is a nice park but it isn't worth a higher price than Cedar Freaking Point... Plus the fact that they are asking $15 for parking. I'm sorry but it just doesn't add up.
  17. Um honestly I would name the coasters something else... The names just don't fit... Otherwise it looks good.
  18. I belive that is almost exactly what setpoints prototype was like except it uses the truss style track that Intamin uses.
  19. On RCDB now... WTH... Is that for real? I mean seriously that is a pretty intense thing to do. If that is for real man the Japanese are crazy... They should have just figured out some way to build like sound walls or something... You could make it look like a real half-pipe with some sort of surround.
  20. Well now that this topic is back... Would I be a terrible person if I asked Robb and Elissa where Waterworld in CO ranked on their lists of Waterparks? I mean it is the only waterpark I know of with darkrides
  21. Ok well since you want feedback... Things look pretty good but you have some harsh edges in places and that is simple to fix just use a few of the terrain tools and harsh edges begone. Also it kinda seems like the coaster is underthemed compared to other things. Also just change the name on the airplane thing... Boeing could sponsor something but it isn't a name...
  22. Why not use something that everyone can help with? How about a little program called NVU? I know it isn't ideal or anything but it isn't Frontpage and it is free... Or heck someone could easily modify it by hand.
  23. A wooden coaster is significantly more expensive as the changes in shape that wood experiences are much greater than those of steel and occur under numerous different conditions. Also consider that wooden coasters are not built from purpose built parts which results in some fit issues. So everyday the track needs to be checked for alignment issues. Of course there are numerous other things that can happen. Nevermind the fact that the boards need replacing over time.
  24. OMG... A year of wasted time... It's so beautiful... (sheds a tear) Congrats on a year of communal insanity and a decade of donkeys...
  25. Ok I'm livid... I am absolutely livid... Elitches announced their new addition for the park apparently... Was it a new Flat... No... Was it a little coaster that might somehow make up for the fact that we haven't gotten any real coaster for what 7 years... Look the flying coaster is great and so is HalfPipe but I want a real freaking coaster... No instead they announce a parade twice daily... WTF? Ok I don't know about you but my experience with kids around these parks is 90% of them don't know the looney tunes other than Bugs Bunny. It is not like they are gonna flock there in droves to see a freaking parade. Plus you are gonna see a huge amount of staff either taken from their regular duties to do the parade (which undoubtedly will be a POS) or employed specifically for this purpose. What are they thinking? I'm sorry but they don't even have a mainstreet that is wide enough for a 2 bike wide parade let alone something decent. Now I try to stay positive... I really really try to stay positive... I tried to stay positive when RedZone took over SixFlags... I tried to stay positive when they made their announcements. Heck I try to stay positive about the constant screw job we are given in Colorado just because there isn't any other park that is ever going to get additions... But this is too much. What is wrong with these people and where can I go to lodge a boot up their collective backsides? Oh yeah... If this has been posted already I apologize but I did try to search for another entry...
