  1. I love the mouse but I can't help but think that you could have put some slopes on those switchbacks to maybe help the thing with a little more speed and therefore capacity. The woodie isn't really my style. I never could get over some of those curves in RCT2 and so that kind of ride never really got me. It looks good but I kinda prefer the more traditional woodies.
  2. Dude how are you going to more than double the amount of people in your park in a year and a month? I dunno if you can beat the scenario now...
  3. Dude guys he is doing a scenario... There often isn't as much time as you would like to dress things up. I have beaten basically every scenario on the RCT games and there are some where you are constantly working. This one not so much but geez... I would say that I would think you would have a bit more by mid year two though. Isn't it gonna be a bit hard to finish?
  4. Dude just buy another Hard Drive... You could easily move the files over... Hard Drives are like $30 for 40-80 Gigabytes these days...
  5. Blast passed over again... And I spent so much on the campaign... Wait... You say there was no campaign? So who was it that was charging me? I guess I will have to be the gracious loser... Congrats guys and don't hit me too hard when I do bad...
  6. Get rid of those harsh edges... It is so easy there are multiple tools that make them look much better... Terrain with harsh edges like that is just inexcusable...
  7. I have to say it does look good... I have some serious concerns with the idea of a lift on this sort of a ride. You are talking about a significant additional investment to create that kind of ride system as well as opening a huge amount of problems given the source material. Thrill rides at Disney are NOT based on Disney Animation. You have a serious conflict in that children would want to go on it but it wouldn't be appropriate (similar to the problem with Stitch at MK right now). I would think that a scene where you are observing the fight between Simba and Scar and then are forced to accelerate over a jump might be more appropriate. It could easily fool most people and would fit much better with the ride vehicle system. It would be easy to script as well because with the lightning happening in the final scene you could have a rockfall or a small tree falling toward the vehicle. Other than that most of the ride should be doable. I honestly don't see any reason why the EMVs don't run outside except for the fact that it gives away the game on how the rides effect is done. To prevent this one could easily have large grasses around the edges of the outside track and keep the motion base largely concealed.
  8. I'll try to be better about searching in the future... I've gotten into a bad habit about that because I mostly post on IGN's boards and the search on that is just completely useless. I mean it is to the point where you can type in the title of your thread and it will not find it... So I just forget that there are search functions that actually work. I'll definitely try to do better in future...
  9. From http://www.ajc.com/news/content/business/stories/0126bizsixflags.html Ok so basically they are looking to make things run better but seriously don't these guys get it? Families go to destination parks... To be a destination park you need big and exciting rides that are still ridable by families. The reason that Six Flags appeals more to teenage and young adult audiences is because they have the ability to go short distances but usually aren't able to go cross country to get to something... What they are effectively doing right now is pricing themselves out of their old market and they are doing nothing to make sure they draw a new market... I am seriously worried about the state of the parks now. I mean based on what they have been saying Elitches should be the most successful park in the chain because almost every addition has been very family friendly...
  10. Honestly you will like one more than the other... It is just how it is... If you are a crazy airtime fan Magnum will be your fave. If you like speed and crazy corners then Millenium Force is better. Both have their strong points... Of course take what I say with a grain of salt because I haven't made it to CP since 2000...
  11. Um RCT1 & 2 are only PC because they are programmed almost entirely in Intel assembly. It is very hard to know what is going wrong on your copy without you telling us more... I'm sorry that I can't tell you more. If you give info about what happens... Errors and the like we might be able to help.
  12. Uh Oh an Elissa The resident rodent lover has spoken...
  13. Yikes... At least smooth the edges on that cut into the mountain... It takes seconds with Wild especially... Trees are really necessary... You can get away without heavy theming as long as you make it look somewhat real with some trees and shrubbery...
  14. What do you think they will do if the person still can't fit in the seat? Pry Bar? Seriously though I want to go on Voyage but I don't see it happening soon... No way I am gonna get there on a trip on my own for a few years...
  15. I don't think anything will ever compare to Tower 4's drop sequences. People can say what they will about the theming and story, but Tower 4's drop profiles are unbeatable. For once Disney made a ride better instead of taming it down! I have a question though, so maybe someone here can help me out with this. What are the changes that have taken place between the original ToT and Tower 4? I know Tower 4 has the (awsome) random ride sequences, but what were the original ride sequences? Were the drop profiles the only thing that changed or has some effects changed as well? My first time riding ToT at MGM was only a couple of weeks ago, the last time I went to MGM before that Tower was testing. The only major changes from the original opening are the drop profiles. There have been other minor changes like the old lettering disappearing in the lobby... Otherwise it is just the drop profiles.
  16. And yet it is like a 40th of the size... I don't know what the new management is thinking... No one will pay these sort of gate prices... A football game maybe but this is there every day... BTW did anyone else notice that the policy for reentry hasn't shown up on the sites again? If I can't exit and reenter at this price this is pretty nuts... I'm pretty pissed about this because I had a hard enough time getting friends to go as Elitches isn't exactly thrill central. There is no way they will go now... Guess I gotta make friends on these boards...
  17. I actually covered that on the first page (heck first post after Robb) but to recap: Only thing I can think that means is you got a Saturn... Didn't they make the Vue? (looks a lot like where Elissa is sitting... Check it out for yourself http://www.saturn.com/saturn/vehicles/vue/overviewInterior.jsp ) I don't recognize any of the pics... Kinda looks like Nevada... Highway... Hey I said I don't recognize anything...
  18. Yeah except that covers basically all the states they could be in... Sure they aren't in SoCal but almost everything east of it for a decent way stocks New Belgium... Good stuff too... Well worth a visit to the Brewery... Here in Fort Collins... Why doesn't SoCal get New Belgium anyway?
  19. Ok, world, can you really see Elissa and I "Hitch-Hiking"?!?! --Robb Would any of you pick that up on the side of the road? I'm just really thinking no coasters this trip right now... I don't know though... I've never been to the area they are driving so anything I would guess right now would be really off...
  20. Well going off the whole credit whoring approach really hasn't lead me anywhere... I haven't seen any new coasters along the corridor they may be driving...
  21. Well if it is I-40 then the first park on it I can see is Cliffs... After that on I-40 I see a place in Amarillo called Wonderland Amusement Park...
  22. Um not to doubt you or anything but can you back it up?
  23. Only thing I can think that means is you got a Saturn...
  24. Well if you want a game that has rollercoasters and managing a park then RCT3 is the way to go especially now with the Gold set which has both the expansions in it. If you want a decent toolkit and simulator with a lot of flexibility then No Limits is the way to go. Keep in mind that there are a lot of people who spend days if not weeks on a single coaster. If that doesn't sound like you then it probably isn't for you. Both are great things and it depends on what you want. RCT3 does have a lot of new coasters and such that No Limits lacks.
  25. Don't forget that all the parks could well have been making money but with the amount of debt that the former Premier took on when purchasing Six Flags they just never really managed to get their heads above water.
