  1. Wicked at Lagoon has those to Power the Onboard Monitoring System and to Charge the Rear Lights on the Trains. I'm interested to see if Verbolten's Trains have the same Charging System for the Onboard Lighting as BomBora's, which are Rumored to have been built by Zierer. cfc and Snowboard83, was there any mention of a Flywheel Inverter? - Sid They'll most likely use very powerful capacitors to charge the train in the staion ala HRRR and most other "onboard extra" coasters. That's what I said about BomBora.

  3. Slides were Delivered to Cowabunga Bay before sections of the Giant Interactive Water Play Structure Arrived.
  4. Did anyone else notice a lack of Safety Brakes in the Concept?
  5. Joey, I'm sure he's thought about it, especially considering the ideas he's shown me! I can say with almost 100% Certainty that there is no way we could put one off of our Structure at Cowabunga Bay. - Sid
  6. I don't find it hard to believe at all that BBW was requiring some re-enforcement after that many years of service. Lagoon wouldn't have half the coasters they have if they weren't re-enforcing parts! Jet Star 2 at Lagoon is Welded on almost Daily during the Operating Season and that's been going on for more than a Decade, even after Lagoon Refurbished it in 2004/2005.
  7. I really hope they checked the weldments on those support columns before they put up the show building. - linearinduction
  8. So did Premier Rides Design the Trains that were manufactured by Spectrum for the Flight of Fear Coasters & Backlot Coasters, or the Wood Coaster Trains for SOB & Wild Wild West, the Six Flags Spaghetti Bowls, & Speed Manufactured by Schäfer? Didn't Premier design & manufacture the LIM bowls at both KI & KD as well as their two outdoor counterparts in the SF chain? As far as I know no third party was involved in the design of those rides. All Track and Support Columns for Premier Rides Coasters are manufactured in Springville, Utah by Intermountain Lift, Inc. This doesn't answer the question....did Premier Design the Roller Coaster Trains that were Manufactured by Spectrum and Schäfer?

  10. As I remember it, you were as giddy as a school girl showing me all of the Aero World stuff! Seeing the schwarzkopf shuttle loop concept art online can't compare actually holding it in your hands and that was awesome! I can't wait for you to post the other stuff I got a personal preview of! Thanks Boss!
  11. Crossbow at Bowcraft Playland which in my view is the same kind of model as Verbolten (Zierer ECS), and it allows for 42" children to come along with an adult, so it shouldn't really be a problem to do that, maybe they feel like it's going to be too "scary" for such young children to come along.I'm also pretty sure that Wicked also have the same seating/restraint system and they allow from 46"... So the restraints can easily cope with smaller children, so we have to wait and see if there might be a change until opening... Wicked's Restraints are not the same as those on the ESC Trains. Additionally, Lagoon was able to get a Minimum 46" Height Requirement only because of the Booster Seats used for those under 50" Tall.
  12. Just wait until Shane posts more concept art! The Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loop would have been totally awesome, and the paint job on the train!
  13. *BUMP* Lagoon released a Preview Photo of BomBora Today! It has also been Confirmed that the Trains have On Board Audio and Lighting Effects. - Sid
  14. Robb, even though I have never met you or Elissa, I've been reading TPR for nearly 10 Years and really wanted to chime in on this. I find it difficult to understand how people could say you are Rude/Mean/etc. In fact, I find it Laughable! You have Standards you Uphold and Rules you Enforce, is that so wrong? When you are Brutally Honest with people, I'm sure many people like me are in total agreement with you. I enjoy TPR because there are no Assholes here. - Sid
  15. Will Cheetah Hunt use a Flywheel Inverter to Lessen the Power Demand for the Ride as many LSM Launched Coasters do? - Sid (I'm Just Curious as to why Inta-Ride LSM Launched Coasters have not used the System)
  16. ^ Rumored Manufacturers have been Zierer and MACK. I've seen the Track & Columns up close and they are a Dead Ringer for the Premier Track, Fabricated by Intermountain Lift, Inc., that was used for Sky Rocket and other Premier Projects. The track and columns were fabricated down at Intermountain Lift, Inc., in Springville, Utah. If this coaster does end up being from Zierer or MACK, it will be the first time Zierer hasn't used their Fabricator in Hungary (Same steel fabricator used by Intamin) and I believe the first time MACK has not fabricated their own Track and Columns. - Sid
  17. ^ Well, Well, Well. Sounds like someone is a little bitter after Lagoon stole your Slide Name! - Sid (just got demoted) Vernon
  18. Lagoon has done Christmas Cards like that for well over 12 Years now, and now that I think about it, I believe they used something similar in 2006 for Wicked. I know KidTums would have a Great Time on Jumping Dragon, OdySea, and the other Family Rides. JimmyBo, I hope you at least stay till closing this time to see what Wicked can Really Do. Ten years ago you could ride all of the Coasters, all of the Rides, and even catch a Show or two on an Early Weekday Crowd. With 4 More Coasters and nearly a Dozen other new Rides, you need 2 Days to really explore the park, as Pioneer Village takes at least an hour to go through. Also, if you guys are turning this into a meet up, I'd really like to meet you guys and I'm sure other members of LagoonisFun.com would like to as well. Perhaps we could even plan an LIF Potluck around your Visit, no need to bring anything as you would be invited guests. We also have an actual Chef as a Member of LIF. - Sid
  19. I received my Lagoon Christmas Card and 2010 Christmas Tree Ornament yesterday and was unexpectedly excited by what was on the front of the Card! Bombora Christmas Card
  20. ^ Lagoon has 40+ Acres of Field Currently Used for Overflow/Employee Parking, so room for Expansion is not a problem. - Sid
  21. You should have listened to me! I told you to trademark the slide names! At least we now know Lagoon has "ZERO" creativity (Big Shocker) and has to steal their Coaster Names from a Musical and a Competing Water Park. - Sid
  22. It must be nice to just re-install the Evac System, instead of building them In-House like Lagoon had to. - Sid
  23. Strange. I've never heard any question if a Wild Mouse is a coaster or not before. I should have done more research before I said it was the eighth coaster. The direct quote above was from the article in the local paper. Considering the Deseret News recently laid off more than 50% of their work force, their sub standard reporting will continue it's downfall. They even forgot Spider.
