  1. Alright, Cedar Point and Disney are completely different. CP is more teen, thrill rider targeted, Disney is more family targeted. CP works on the basis like a cheap restaraunt that gives you value for your money. You ask yourself how they make money? The answer is that they make only a small profit on one person, but its always crowded, so they can make as much money as a big business that overprices their food. Disney would be the one that overprices their food, but yet they have plenty of people to where they make alot of money. Basic buisness.
  2. One word: Boomerang coasters They can get really boring because there is practically one at every park
  3. 70 dollars is outrageous for disney world, or for that fact any theme park. Especially Disney, its not really THAT great. I dont see why people will still pay 70 dollars to go to a theme park.
  4. I wonder which parks will get the new roller coasters. I wonder if they will be big or small too.... I can bet that it will not be SFGAm, SFGAdv, or SFMM. Probably SFFT or SFSTL. Maybe itll be SFOT, since they probably wont get another family ride, with the 10 they got this year. Who knows?
  5. Texas Giant is the best in the rain! Tons of airtime!
  6. for me, any indoor coaster gives you a speed feeling. also, at sfot, mr freeze gives the feeling of speed, because of the loops, and wingover. titan also gives alot of speed feeling, as in you feel like you are going 100 rather than 85. also, the end of texas giant where it weaves in the track is the best feeling of speed ive had on a wooden coaster! ive rode kingda ka, and i wasnt too impressed. 5 seconds-launch station, 30 seconds, rides over. there are not very many gs and its 10 seconds long. BIG waste of money. they shouldve built another millenium force. much better.
  7. A) Its not about height that much. Its more about intensity. KK and TTD arent very intense, they are just a rush. No intense G's sustained for long periods of time, and no inversions. Also they are very short rides. B) Rides like Goliath, Titan, and the other Goliath have long sustained G's especially in all the helixes they have. This can cause blackouts, and parts of the body not to function for a quick second or seconds. C) Waiting in heat does not necessarily pose a problem. At SFOT, where in the summer its in the 100s for weeks in a row, there have only been 2 deaths, none caused by heat. (That I know of) 1 was when roaring rapids flipped over and the girl couldnt swim, and 2 was when a ride op was run over by el sombrero.
  8. Titan at SFOT. Best hypercoaster Ive rode so far. (Millenium force would be whenever I get to ride it!)
  9. for me definitely titans 1st helix (the one that goliath doesnt have). the second helix is EXTREMELY weak compared to the first one. i almost blacked out on the first one, and it was the closest ive ever gotten to blacking out on a roller coaster. it pulls 4.5 g's for over 6 seconds in a row! my second would have to be the double loops on shockwave.
  10. didnt really ride rodeo, i wasnt really interested in the new rides, although they added alot to the atmosphere. i was mostly on roller coasters, rode the titan 5 times, batman 4, and shockwave and tx giant 3. all the new rides looked really nice, and they did a great job with installation.
  11. the restraint system on rockin rocket is an over the head restraint and a lap bar that comes down really hard! also, I think shockwave was painted green in 2002. the green paint is starting to peel, and it shows some blue paint. and im pretty sure the ride additions are permanent. they dug holes into hills and everything to put these rides in, and put down permanent footpaths, and nice que lines. i think they will be there for a while.
  12. I went to SFOT 7/26. Still not open. I did call six flags, and the people there were told it would reopen in the fall.
  13. thanks you guys! i ended up using the power toy. it worked like a charm. i just posted the Six flags over texas photo tr.
  14. sorry about doing the flashback twice, i thought i selected 2 different pics.
  15. Yesterday I went to SFoT. Wasnt too crowded, and everything was open except Mr. Freeze. It was also a nice day out too. Heres what I did the whole day. Batman--Nice ride, but it gets boring, they have it at almost every park! 6/10 Mr Freeze--Nice for looks, but not open No Rating Flashback--Another attack of the clones, smooth though, not too exciting 5/10 Shockwave--AWESOME Schwarzkopf, nice Gs on loops, and a TON of airtime in the back 9/10 Texas Giant--Looks nice, awesome track design, bumpy as he** though. The new cushioned seats helped alot. Nice padding on them! 7/10 Titan--I love the positive G's, maybe more negative G's though. VERY SMOOTH, and the extra helix is the best part! It pulls the most G's on the whole ride! 9.5/10 Runaway Mountain-- A very simple ride, nice compact turns, and very smooth. 7/10 Roaring Rapids-- Pretty good rapids, better than most. Got soaked! 8/10 Judge Roy Scream-- I loved the retracking! Awesome job. Lots of air too Nice view behind the lake of the rest of the park. 7/10 La Vibora--I love bobsleds for some reason. It was really cool. Not fast, but very relaxing. I just couldnt stand the brakes! 6/10 Wildcatter--Nice vekoma freefall action. My favorite flat ride! A little bumpy, but still awesome. 7/10 Rockin Rocket--Cool going upside down, nice new expansion! 4/10 Mine Train--Awesome ride. Sometimes jerky, but a nice track, and great scenery. I love the ending! 5/10 El Aseradero (Flume 1)-- Wow. This flume is way better than the new one. Its awesome how it wraps around the forest, and is pretty fast for the worlds first log flume. 6/10 Superman: Tower of power-- Nice ride, pretty intense ride. Love the launch, and the fall too! 7/10 Now for the photos: (BTW im not in any of them, parents wouldnt let me put any on here! Sorry... But I did have an awesome time! Thanks Six Flags, for the great day. Nice job with the new rides, it adds great theming. Almost forgot the Oil Derrick The helix which makes the ride alot better, and makes alot of people black out More Titan Titan If you ever wondered what the titan looked like under it, here it is. The titan at night And last but not least, Goliath with an extra helix Mr. Freeze, Not open Mine Train Buried in there Worlds First Log Flume El Aserraderro Up, Up, and Away! Yeah...more superman And the superman sized line! Superman: Tower of Power And who could forget the best new ride of all? lol. jk. The Caddo Lake Barge. Another ride, rodeo! Runaway Mountain (Only pic I have, its an indoor coaster) More new rides!! Those turns do look very tempting.. and that fun drop. Note 1999.....but it got like number 10 in 2004, its still decent Texas Giant Lift Hill...at least THATS not bumpy The Texas Giant..I feel the pain just looking at it The new location for El Sombrero Boot scootin, another new ride The new splashgrounds in gotham And more La Vibora Intamin bobsled..fun Thats pretty cool, I didnt know that. And there is the splash The ride that gets you wetter than soaked! A skyline of TX Giant and Titan from Judge Roy Scream The second best ride in the park...yeah right. Its one of the new rides, cloud bouncer Gunslinger (AKA Texas Tornado) And yet more freefall fun Ooh...airtime Intamin Freefall Goodness! More Judge Roy Scream Judge Roy Scream "Awe west of the Pecos" Lonely and desolate Mr. Freeze...open soon! And the best part of the Schwarzkopf More Schwarzkopf Schwarzkopf action Texas Chute Out, not much to say about that one And another, the Rockin Rocket And one of the new rides....Batwing More boomerang! Flashback through the trees And last one of batman.. More clones!! Batman the clone...
  16. I have a bunch of pics from sfot, but they are way too big. anyone know how to shrink them so i can upload them? thanks!
  17. a floorless stand up coaster....OUCH!
  18. what program did you use to draw the pictures if you did, because those are amazing! and dude, you should definitely send that in!
  19. I have a few For wooden: Rolling Thunder SFGAdv (Horrible ride, not worth the pain it caused) Rattler SFFT (Very bumpy and very shaky, bad supports, but it was probably one of the coolest layed out coasters I have ever rode) Texas Giant SFOT (Bumpy, but it is an awesome coaster though) Zeus Mt. Olympus (OUCH!) For steel: GASM SFGAdv (Wow. I think i got a concussion) Iron Wolf SFGAm (1st half was ok. 2nd half...pain)
  20. What do you think the top 3 6 flags parks are In terms of Coasters: 1) SFMM 2) SFGADV 3) SFGAM or SFOG In terms of quality: 1) SFOT 2) SFGAM 3) SFOG Overall: 1) SFGAM 2) SFOG 3) SFOT (In terms of where Ive been) If its already been posted, then just lock it. Sorry if it has. What are yours?
  21. 1st-master blaster (1 1/2 hours), it isnt really worth it, but it was pretty cool 2nd-la vibora (1 hr 15 min), its so slow because its a bobsled 3rd-titan (1 hour), the year it opened at SFOT, SFOT isnt nearly as crowded as it used to be.
  22. i believe the city wont have any effect on their decision or very little. unless they are willing to pay 500 million to six flags, it could be sold. and i think the city says they want it to stay because of the jobs, but they really want it to stay for the money it brings in, and all the people it attracts.
  23. ill have to go with loggers run at SFGAm. although el aserrado at SFOT isnt that bad, considering its the worlds first log flume and its over 40 years old. its probably my 2nd or 3rd one. the one tied with it was the log flume at SFGAv.
  24. Ive been to SFGAm, SFGAv, and SFOT. Out of the three, I would have to go with SFOT. They have awesome theming, especially on the lines of Mr.Freeze, and Batman. It actually looks like they spent alot of time on the scenery. I noticed nobody mentioned SFOT though.
  25. I am going to have to go with Superman: tower of power at SFOT...even though its the same speed as all the other ones, its awesome in combo mode (only mode I have ever rode it in). shooting up 315 feet, dropping, coming back up, holding you for 10 seconds, and dropping you. its awesome!
