  1. ^ Which one? Why do I feel like the only one who's listing the names of the parks who share Arrow coasters with the same name?
  2. Does anybody reallize that the removal of this coaster makes it the amusement park with the most "past coasters"? If you compensate for both Batman & Robin, and both of the Lightnin' Loops, the park is up to 13. SFGAd has closed more coasters than most parks ever hope to build!!!
  3. ^ So this means you got your Chiller credit before it hit the ripsaw? Good for you! Also, happy first post!
  4. I really loved Greased Lightnin'/Tidal Wave. It was a super-fun ride, and it never had a line!
  5. I just LOVE Arrow coasters; they are classic steel. Arrow Mine Trains (Adventure Express, Big Thunder Mountain{DL and WDW}, Gold Rusher, Dalogena Mine Train), Suspended Coasters (Ninja, Iron Dragon, Top Gun), Hyper Coasters (Magnum and Phantom's Revenge{I think it counts as an Arrow & a Morgan} )and particular oddities (Matterhorn, Excalibur{Valleyfair}, and Gemini), are all wondeful rides!. Arrow Loopers can be good rides (Corkscrew {CP & Valleyfair}, and Tennessee Tornado), but can also be somwhat painfull (Viper{SFMM}, Vortex, and Demon {PGA}). As far as favorites go, I'm torn between Top Gun and Matterhorn. Top Gun provides a truly thilling senic ride as it swings through the trees, while Matterhorn is a brilliant classic that holds a special place in my heart for being my very first coaster.
  6. *Sigh* The GP is ignorant and CNN is the most spun news network ever!
  7. It was just wild! We rode them each like 5 times! Jack Rabbit + Duel Inner Tubes = Patriot Plunge = Wicked Awsome Slide!
  8. If we didn't already know that it was a topspin, i'd be hoping for a Heartbreaker.
  9. Totaly fun looking park. That has mine train has such a cool location.
  10. The red Patriot's Plunge (inner tube slide) has a full double dip. It's a double rider raft, and with the weight of two people, the raft actually lifts off of the slide for a second. It was totaly awsome and scary! The lethal double dip!
  11. I'm just worried that all of these rides will be large, tasteless, steel buildings with roller coasters that feature minimal theming. What if their as bad as Pirate's Hideaway?
  12. I always thought this ride was sort of an eye-sore. It did to SFGAd's Gotham City what Superman did to all of SFMM. GAd's Gotham City will probably seem so open after its gone, but not after the new building is built.
  13. Jesus Christ, this thing STILL isn't open yet? I haven't been following any recent Knoebel's news, but I thought Flying Turns was supposed to open this year! How long does it take to build one of these?!?!
  14. Wildcat didn't seem that rough to me. No more or less rough then any given woodie with PTCs, but a little more rough then an average GCI. CGIs I've Ridden Roar Thunderhead Wildcat Lightning Racer Kentucky Rumbler
  15. I'm not sure why, but I can't ever seem to keep any sort of control while on a water slide. With raft slides, I'm always getting myself flipped over--which is why water parks make me a little uneasy. The last time I was on an really wild inner tube slide, I completely flipped over while going around a turn, and narrowly avoided smashing my face in! Still, I just love water parks, but I usually prefer to float around in the lazy river, or remain safely anchored to the raft on a large, family-sized, multi-person slide.
  16. When Psycho Mouse first opened, it ran like clockwork. They always had 6 cars, and had managed to sustain a rythm or operation.
  17. I feel kinda bad...PGA got a new coaster for every summer I lived next to PGA (1998-2001), and ever since I left, coasters stopped coming. It was a great 4 years.
  18. Good for MIA! They really could use a new coaster.
  19. This whole thing is so sad. I still remeber looking at the ride's concept art when I was 6, and being blown away. Also, the tradoff from Chiller to indoor wildmouse will be difficult to take for the thrill seekers out there.
  20. 2005- Hydra:The Revenge 2004- Silver Bullet Thunderhead 2003- Greased Lightnin' @ SFKK King @ Nashville Valley Python @ Nashville Valley 2002- V2 Vertical Velocity @ SFMW 2001- California Screamin' Psycho Mouse Rugrat's Runaway Reptar @ PKI 2000- Cobra @ SFMW Goliath @ SFMM Medusa @ SFMW Sea Surpent @ SCBB Steath @ PGA 1999- Dueling Dragons Fire Dueling Dragons Ice Mad Mouse @ Valleyfair! 21. 1. DD Fire 2. DD Ice 3. Great Bear 4. Talon 5. Silver Bullet Raptor was good, but a bit shakey near the end. Top Gun at GA is really good, but it just isn't long enough. SFOG and SFMM's Batmans were fun, but I'm not a fan of the Gotham City theme, and they're the shortest of the inverts I've been on.. Telling from this picture, Phaethon would have to be my most saugt-after invert, closely followed by Nemesis and Black Mamba.
  22. ^ Thank You. Besides, MF has an elevator cable, which is much better than a chain.
  23. ^ Oh, I'm sorry, do my little comments upset you? That's too bad.
  24. This is so unusual, I--oh wait-- this is Six Flags. Never mind...
  25. There's a great POV of this ride on a video tape I found on eBay called "Japanese Coaster Madness". It was released in 1989, and is 100%Japanese. I can't understand any of it, but the footage is brilliant. Lots of onride/offride footage of several coaster like Moonsalt Scramble, Big Boom Coaster, and Bandit.
