As I said in the first post I was going to goto South Park, so here are the pictures that I took when we went the other day. Overall it was a fun day, though not the best weather. The drive starts out with a stop at the Outdoors store. I can't wait to get out of the dirty city. hm, The weather doesn't look too inviting for a drive. Yay, we are finally out of the city. Damn, a traffic jam in the mountains. This sucks. Finaly freeeee rain... Driving on the side of a mountain in a torrential downpour is fun. weeee And over we go! I guess some rocks had fallen. Going up another big hill At the top...weeee We made it! This sums up what South Park is. After taking a 30 second tour of the town in the rain we decided to slide down this hill. Time to go back. Such a sad sight after coming out of the mountains Someone kidnapped Minnie! One last stop before going home. Yum. Do any of you know of a good beer store in the Denver/Aurora area? I have been to 7 stores so far and they all had a very limited beer selection.

Nope, we didn't stop there. I take it I should have? Yeah really! I wish Toronto had mountains nearby instead of all the flat land. It makes it alot more interesting and if you are bored a drive into the mountains is always fun.

Last week my friend and I decided to leave the hot, boring city and go for a drive into the mountains. I took along my camera and here are some pictures I took. It was a fun drive, but tommorows trip should be even better as we will be going even further. Yay, snow This is as far as we got, Dillon Resevoir. I believe this is the highest I was, just outside the Eisenhower tunnel. Heading back to Denver we took a little detour through this casino area. 1 of 3 tunnels on this little stretch of road. I feel like I'm riding Tremors...lol And finally back into town where we pass Lakeside. Tommorows trip is South Park and next week I'm going camping in the mountains. I can't wait.

I'm moving tomorrow (have to be up in 5 hours, so this is going to be quick), so this was my last trip to Wonderland for the year. I didn't do too many rides. I spent most of the day just walking around and watching some of the shows. I did Psyclone, Stunt Show, Italian Job, White Water Canyon, School of Rock and Timberwolf Falls. I thought the stunt show was pretty lame on most aspects, but the number and size of the explosions and fireballs were great. I was surprised that they are using what appears to be actual blanks in the pistols and the 'surprise' at the end was nice in the heat. On another note, it appears that Orbiter's (Huss Skylab) gondolas are attached to the wheel again! One other thing that I must comment is Skyrider. They were running both trains, but only loading one....wtf? Damn, gas is above one dollar a liter again On the freeway, damn antenna got in the way Yay, almost in. I was really shocked at the security today. I had a pop can in my bag and they actually took it away from me. I have never had that happen to me here before! I know they don't want outside food inside the park, but come on, one pop can? I didn't ride this today. My back thanked me. Something didn't work on Italian Job. Whats new? I'm in LA! Whats the hold up? bumpbumpbumpbumpbumpbumpbumpbumpbumpbumpbumpbumpbumpbumpbumpbump I guess it does take some nice pictures. Too bad it doesn't ride that nice. Almost there. By this point I was ready to get wet and get cool off. Hmm..ghetto They should put a mini model of Scream! right here... Someone from Jane and Finch must be lost, right here in front of the audience a drug deal went down. weeee bang pwnt broke Time to get wet again. I told my girlfriend if we sit in the back we won't get that wet, I guess she won't be listening to me anytime soon again. Vortex through the trees! Exclusive! I wish I had gone on Drop Zone. Oh well, there is an Intamin drop ride where I am moving too, no loss. No trip report is complete without an Arrow looper My feet were still soaking wet from the boat ride, so I tried to air them out while waiting for the bus. Sorry if anyone was around!! Minebuster's ride ops were being really efficient today.

Great pictures and comments! It looks like you had an amazing time, I know I would have. That was an awesome series, I hope next years Stanley Cup final is just as exciting. I forgot how much fun the finals were to watch after that long dumb strike.

Damn that game sucked, for Edmonton of course. I really hope that next game they step up another notch. At too many points during the game they just looked like they were lazily skating around the ice and not really making a big effort to get the puck on the net as much as possible. The rest of the series better be interesting, I really hate blowout games like these, its just not interesting and fun to watch.

Looks like the trains lights were working, I wonder how long it will be until they blink out and never turn on again. Were the onboard sounds working? I've never ridden it with all the effects working.

I hope they approve it. Its sounds like an interesting interview and it would suck to be teased with the answers and not ever get to hear them.

taxi jam

I decided to go to the park today. I was hoping it would rain, to keep the crowds really lite, but it didn't happen. However, during the morning hours the park was pretty empty. I rode pretty much everything today, some things a few times. I also completly forgot that the new Stunt Show opened today. By the time I had remembered it was already too late and I didn't feel like sticking around until 4pm for the next one. Not that I really cared though, it looks kind of dumb. Later in the day it started to get crowded (not too crowded, but crowded compared to the morning) so I left pretty early. When I left in the afternoon there was probably about 50 school and tour buses in the parking lot, with a bunch of buses from Quebec still pulling into the lot. Here are some pictures I took today; Its around 8am and I'm at the bus stop waiting for my bus... It finally comes, but didn't leave right away so I took a picture of the spiffy interior. Expensive! I also took a picture of the ticket vendor thing. w00t! Hardly any cars, this is a good sign! No rides closed today, awesome. Though, I think one ride should have been up there. Could there possibly be a really short line? There was! I rode IJST about 10 times today, purely for the helix. :/ I think that guy is having a bit too much fun on this kiddie ride! The 3rd train is still sitting unfinished on the storage track. To be honest, the way it was ran last year I wouldn't be surprised if they just left it there. It seems to run the same with two trains. Yay, another empty line. Too bad the ride isn't good enough to ride again. It is supposed to be open... But nope, the entrance stayed chained off the entire time I was there. Yay, another empty station, and for a ride that is actually enjoyable and doesn't bust your back. Another empty ride that I rode a couple of times. It felt really lame and short today though! Kinda small splash compared to some others. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I wonder how much that horse would go for on EBay? Ghoster Coaster got some new wood. There was only about 5 other people in line for the two theatres so I decided to check out the new movie. I was disappointed to say the least, the movie made absolutely no sense and had no story to it. Sponge Bob 3D is better! :/ Weeeeeeeeeee?? OMFG!!! I missed my bus by literally 10 seconds! The next bus was running 10 minutes behind too! I was really bored waiting for the bus, so here is a picture of Dragon Fire and my bus fare. The first coloured coins in the world I believe.

Minus the pepperoni it actually looks pretty tasty. Hot sauce can make anything taste good.
