Great pictures and comments. Kentucky Rumbler looks amazing sitting there out in the open. Chang also looks really great with its new paint job. -

I agree about its location problems, though I don't think it really has anything to do with the Sledgehammer area. I think its main problem is that it is basically hidden behind a washroom building and the stupid cyber sez game. If those two things were gone and they put in a bigger sign or a marker out on the midway I think more people would realize that there is a ride down there. -

Heres a Vortex video showing its entire layout. I didn't think it was good enough for the video forum, so I didn't upload it there. :/ http://media.putfile.com/Vortex-layout-shot -

I hope they don't mind, but here is a pov of Wildbeast with the creators of this trip report sitting infront of the camera, I thought it was neat despite being a craptacular video. -

Went to Pcw for opening day on Sunday. The crowds weren't too bad during the morning but as the afternoon went on, more and more people began to crowd the lines and midways. I got on everything I wanted, except for Shockwave. Every time I passed it, it either had a big line or was shut down. I got a few excellent rides on Wildbeast today as well. I really noticed how smooth the little hop before the fan turn is now. Finally they made an improvement that didn't neuter it any further. I guess the line could be worse for the Italian Job... After someone spilled a protein shake they finally loaded a train. The lazy river is full of water now (it was bone dry on Friday). weeeeee I think I'll pass... weeeeee...but didn't get to ride it They should be taking that out instead of the Orbiter! I R HUNGERY RAWRRRRR weeee? Still empty. Some of Top Gun's supports were painted, but a lot of the track is still covered in crap. Robb's favourite. It still looks pretty ghetto if you ask me... While my girlfriend and I sat down before we left, we this saw guy talking to a police officer... As we left the park we saw them again, the guy sounded pretty drunk. After we walked over to look at the new stunt show area we saw them again, they were arguing back and forth about something. I also tried to make a few panoramic shots, the sky was acting up in them but I think they turned out ok. Panoramic 1 Panoramic 2 Panoramic 3 -

Yeah they changed it, the metal detectors are right infront of the entrance turnstiles now. It also looks like they have a few more too which should be nice on crowded days. -

Yeah, the Southside Grill is gone. Wild Beast was running pretty good, felt like they did some work on it and it sounded a little wierd going down each hill. Minebuster was its usually crappy self. It wasn't as painful as in past years but all the bumps are still there and barely even any airtime in the backseat on the first drop. -

Great pictures, SDC looks like a very nice place with some interesting rides. -
I went to Pcw last night for the seasons pass holders preview night. I had a pretty good time other than the fact that I currently have an annoying cold. I got at least one ride on all the big rides and a bunch of rides on Drop Zone and Shockwave. The lines were nonexistent at the start of the night, but later on the crowds began too grow, but only a little. The maximum time I waited for a ride was just over 15 minutes. Below are some pictures I took. On-board the 1st of 3 buses. The second bus ride was long and boring, so uhhh, yeah, here's a picture of my feet. Yay, getting close. Just one more bus to go. Finally made it. The park advertised a 6pm opening time, but opened way before that. My first ride of the season, not a bad way to start off. First coaster of the year for me was Wild Beast. Always a fun ride. I rode it a bunch of times thanks to the short line. The indoor theatre and fountain. I wish I had waited for a train before taking this picture. Vortex's track was painted during the off season, but the supports were left untouched. Hopefully they will finish the job soon, it would look a lot better. The best ride on the planet! weeeee mmmm Togo goodness. A toilet bowl that flushes riders into the lazy river. The fish under the bridge next to the Italian Job entrance. A big intimidating ride which is actually quite boring. Awesome. A Godfather ride would be great instead of Tomb Raiders or Top Guns.... The new restaurant, which looks pretty good and leap years ahead of the one it replaced.

Are you sure that it was the cd rom drive that actually cracked it? I know that I have cracked the inner rings on a few dvd's and playstation games that I have rented by pulling the cd out of the case at a weird angle, or out of those stupid cases that lock the cd in.

I had the same thoughts last year about paying an extra fee ontop of my seasons pass for Fear Fest. I thought the event would be really lame and a big ripoff. However, I did end up going and I was really surprised. The the park did a great job at creating a spooky halloween atmosphere all throughout the park. Alot of the park was nearly pitch black with only the ride lights on. Shockwave was running amazingly that night. The lines we so short on the rides that I didn't even end up doing any of the halloween stuff. I've noticed this too, even under all the rides where unless you look hard no one would ever see. Some of the grassy areas look better than some golf courses.
