  1. Are those zipties on Xcelerator's track?
  2. Not much to explain other than I went to a car show that was sponsored mainly by my dads work, so onto the pictures! Got the tickets. I passed Pcw, so of course I had to take a picture. That is some serious engine. This was one of the best looking cars at the entire show. Its paint was flawless and was an amazing colour. A BMW Z8 that my dads work did work on. The pinstriping down the side was really neat, it looked as if it was floating above the surface of the car. The BMW logo switched out for the Concepts on Wheels logo. Another car my dads work did. A Jeep my friend wants badly. 572 crate motor, enormous. A bike designed (or built...can't remember) by the same people that did the Viper powered Tomahawk bike for Dodge. This is just retarded IMO. Who the hell needs 24 inch wheels? Other than the rear wheels, it was quite a nice car. This was one of the weirder cars, it was called the Shark Attack or something. It did have some really nice paint though. There was also two bikes from Orange County Choppers there last night. The New York Jets bike. The Comanche bike. Funk Master Flex was also there. The new Bat Mobile? I love the fact that they were playing the Simpsons on the front bumper, lol. Inside the Bat Mobile. Bling bling, yo! Yay, another BMW. The dirtiest looking girl was sitting in this car. I was afraid to take a picture of the front of the car. The section for the store portion of my dads work. And last but not least, my favourite car. On the way home we also encountered some aliens.
  3. AHG = Automatic Heartline Generator; http://nldc.interfix.net/pageid-6.html
  4. I enjoy both, except for the slow lines on Boomerangs.
  5. Does anyone have the pictures of the trains getting removed that Mr Stratosphere posted in this thread? It seems that they are gone...
  6. Hey Soren, I was just wondering if you got my private message?
  7. I wonder how the 401 up here would compare to some of the freeways down there. I know it is one of the busiest freeways in the world and sometimes you might as well pack your lunch, dinner, tent, stove, etc as the traffic jams can't be a nightmare The worst traffic I have personally witnessed would probably be in downtown London or Paris.....what a complete mess!
  8. You are lucky The result of my last trip to the dentist on Wednesday :/
  9. Finally, a new ride. I wonder where they are going to put this one, hopefully not at the back of the park where you would need a day and a half to hike to it. Now if they would only get a terrained woodie....
  10. Yes. If you take a look at some of the Silver Bullet construction pictures you can see 'the ball' in action (sorry, don't have a link handy).
  11. Hm, not sure what you are trying to prove or argue with the park or whatever, but honestly, what do you really expect the park to do when you did spend 'a few hours' at the park even though the majority of the rides you wanted to ride were closed. If I had something like this happen to me where I paid to gain entry to a park only to find most of the rides closed, I wouldn't have spent a few hours there. I also would not have written a complaint half a year later.
  12. ^my exact thought, and a pretty lame animation at that.
  13. Awesome, downloading now..at 12kbs [edit] if anyone else has already downloaded it could you uploaded it to rapidshare.de? thanks..
  14. Personally, I think the standard Vekoma SLC layout is great. Within a very tight space you have 5 interesting inversions and a ton of great foot choppers. Some spots also have some good positive g's. Now, if only Vekoma could get ride of some of the roughness they would have a real winner on their hands! I also think the roughness on most SLC's is really over-exagerated in many cases, I notice alot of people (kids) jumping to the conclusion that is it a horrible ride just because of the fact that it is a Vekoma or a standard SLC.
  15. On the travelocity link I posted up above, it says that the price included tax. Not sure about airport charges though, but I highly doubt the ticket would double in price from the advertised cost.
  16. $5000 for airfare from Calgary? Seems a bit expensive. How many people are flying? A quick search on www.travelocity.ca provided prices as low as $510 Cdn per person with one stop over. The dates I searched April 18th-25th. Not sure if this link will work... http://travel.travelocity.ca/flights/AirSearch.do?SEQ=11384865083780282006
  17. Enterprise is pretty big up here, your best bet would be to ask whoever your renting the car from. Up here you have to be a minimum of 21 years old to rent a car, and that is with paying an under 25 fee.
  18. Good luck with your TGE/LR day, that is going to be cutting it really close..
  19. Well, nothing very hockey related anyways...multiple concussions, eye damage etc
  20. Most people use Fraps to capture video of Nolimits. I'm not sure about rct3, but I would assume Fraps could be used. http://www.fraps.com/ And then upload the video to www.putfile.com or someother hosting site.
  21. The queue length horror stories are quite true, but it all depends on when you visit. If you go on a Saturday in the middle of July, I wouldn't count on the lines being as short as 30 minutes.
  22. You got to see a Veyron in person, I'm jealous! I hope there is one at the Toronto Autoshow this year
  23. Good luck with that day! If you are doing this during the summer months it will be a little more difficult. You would only have a very short time at TGE before having to leave and going on a few hours trek to Montreal (remember, you have to cross the border which can have lines and setbacks if you have a rude customs agent). And I'm not sure if you have read about operations at La Ronde, but they are pretty horrible! 1 train operations on busiest of days and really, really, really (really?), slow staff. As far as getting into Canada, it is pretty easy as long as you don't say something stupid. It doesn't cost anything and there is only one toll road (which is in Toronto). As far as I know, you do not need a passport, but it would certainly help make entry it easier and quicker. I also tend to find that if you show the customs agent a passport instead of various other ID they treat you a bit better as well. Another suggestion would be that if you can squeeze another day into your trip, is to cross into Canada after doing MFI/SFDL and head to Paramount Canada's Wonderland for a day. This would also make your 'day 2' (assuming you are an American citizen and also assuming that you were originally going to goto TGE first and La Ronde second) easier as I would think it would be easier to get into the USA rather than trying to rush to get into Canada. But good luck! That is true, but MFI is only open until 8:30PM during the summer; http://www.martinsfantasyisland.com/rates.php3 I would suggest hitting Waldemeer as early as possible and as quick as possible, then bolt over to MFI and enjoy an hour or two riding Silver Comet. With those parks over use the rest of the day and night to do Six Flags Darien Lake. My two cents, whether you use them or not is up to you.
