  1. To Intamin: Based on what you decide when to use an hydraulic launch or LSM on a launched coaster?
  2. B&M: Regarding Leviathan, how is that each train has 8 rows instead of 9, like other B&M hyper models that feature these old-generation trains?
  3. To RMC: So far, your trains have been built by Gerstlauer. Are you planning on building your own trains?
  4. If you were to include inversions in your layouts (GCI), could Millennium Flyers track those or would you have to redesign them completely?
  5. Could we see inversions on a GCI track in the near future?
  6. Well, technically it's not like Colossus since the first drop looks shaped differently, or is it the angle?
  7. 23 out of 24! My inner nerd is very happy! Thanks for posting those quizes; they are fun to take!
  8. Looks like a Mack wild mouse clone, similar to Matterhorn Blitz but without the double-elevator. *Yet* another family coaster for Knott's...
  9. ^^Well, considering this is the park that installed a race-themed coaster in an existing area full of dinosaurs and was brave enough to name it "Rita - Queen of Speed", "The Smiler" doesn't seem that odd after all... I quite like the spirally eyes and insane-related background to this coaster. Hopefully it will ride as good as it looks in the renderings...
  10. Thanks for linking those videos. I had always wondered how to start/run a B&M. Why is that Asterix went for a coach-style panel instead of a conventional table-like panel? It's also amazing to see how many details need to be checked even before trains are let on the track every morning! Hopefully, part 4 will come soon enough.
  11. Dragon Khan in 1999. To be honest I was terrified of going upside down and my biggest ride til then had been Stampida. But my friends decided to ride Khan, so I thought "join the queue with them and then ditch them last minute!". Boy my plan went wrong and I ended up trapped in last row. I'll never forget that first ride, and that was what definitely got me hooked for life!
  12. Thanks for the info, simon! I will have to wait until 2013 to ride the travelling beast, then!
  13. ^Oh, ride selection seems nice but I was expecting Olympia Looping to be there. I recall that last year OL was there anyway... Do you know where is Olympia Looping expected to be around mid-November?
  14. To sum this up: luxury spa on steroids... The concept looks a bit boring and plain, and everything I got from the video was "blah blah blah nature, blah blah blah, nature". Plus, I can't really see this working as a year-round facility with the cold French winter temperatures below 0ºC.
  15. We need to remember that it's a 15 year old ride. In a park like Gröna Lund, something has to go to get something new. It's time had just come. I didn't know they were getting rid of it! I love top scans and the one at Gröna Lund looked like it had a decent cycle and was popular!
  16. Some of the rides at Disneyland Paris. A few years ago, I went in February, when they were having "Magie Ilimitée", which was basically "ride once and reride as much as you want". They had a shortcut from the unloading side to the loading side on RNR, or a walkway to the stairs back to the station on Space Mountain and something similar on Indy...
  17. Doesn't seem very likely, since Premier haven't built anything in Europe. Well, it could be their first project, of course, I guess...
  18. I have not done Manta yet, but Blue Fire is extremely gentle and I wouldn't say the launch has any real kick to it. Agreed. In fact, bluefire's focus is not the launch, really, but the whole ride itself. What makes those rides so special is that they are smooth, exciting, very rerideable, have great capacity, have comfortable trains and are very versatile... Oh yeah, and the final kick-ass inline twist I am really excited about this addition. I loved bluefire and I am sure I wil enjoy this even more! So looking forward to visiting Liseberg in 2014!
  19. I hope this makeover gets more people through the gates. In fact, superheroe themed areas have proven to be popular among guests Oriol "This could potentially become Six Flags Brazil" Monroig
  20. Tallest steel: Shambhala Tallest wooden coaster: Colossos
  21. I was watching a POV of it yesterday and I was wondering the same thing. Is it really able to run 4 trains? I thought it had the double station because of the relatively small layout. If it is indeed able to run on 4 trains, capacity must be huge! Like, over 2,000 pph...
  22. And how many demolitions like this we see at theme parks? Not that many. I guess CP also wanted some publicity, and so they used this to keep the interest and buzz about GateKeeper going.
  23. ^10 ride operators is insane. Considering other parks can run 3-train B&Ms with minimal-to-non stacking on 4 ride ops I don't know why Leviathan needs those many. BTW, on any video I have seen of Leviathan there's a train stacked...
  24. ^Shambhala is a completely different experience. It's not full of old-skool B&M intensity found on Dragon Khan. In fact, besides the first drop and perhaps the ampersand element it is rather tame and rerideable. Most people asked have agreed that Shambhala is rather fun but not too intense to enjoy. Hope that helps!
  25. It didn't use to bother me either. But trust me, last time I rode Furius Baco it was *that* bad. Just to make it easier to understand, Stampida was SMOOTH glass compared to Baco last time I rode. So rough and shaky that gave me a splitting headache for the rest of the day...
