Sounds like a nice addition. Definitely looking forward to snappi-umm, err, "riding" the flying scooters -

Is this the first barrel roll on a B&M invert? I really wish they'd stop using these shoulder-crushing, self-tightening rubber restraints. I got bruises after two rides on Wild Eagle. -

^^Mean Streak or Iron Dragon would be the first to go, I think. -

There's already an inverted (swinging coaster) and an inverted (boomerang) right next door, but if this ends up being an inverted coaster, I hope it has a drop with some good airtime like Raptor or Katun. A straight drop would be really unique. Battlestar Galactica is the only straight inverted drop that I can recall offhand. -
Strongest/Most forcefull Launch
nannerdw replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't know about the strongest launch, but TTD was definitely the most intimidating launch for me. I think it was the sound of the launch cable more than anything that had me shaking with nervousness when I got on the ride. I had my eyes closed as the train sped up, both because of my (somewhat) irrational fear of the cable fraying again, and because I didn't want my contact lenses to fall out, lol. -
News report on "Riskiest Amusement park ride"
nannerdw replied to 154bmag's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It still amazes me that a lot of European carnivals let people walk right up next to the rides. That could never happen in the US. Too many people here have the mentality of "Everyone else is responsible for my personal safety, and if I do something stupid, it's their fault for not providing enough protection against my stupidity." -
B&M Wing Rider Coasters - Love or Hate?

Plus it's right at the front of the park, so shorter lines on Raptor! -
News report on "Riskiest Amusement park ride"
nannerdw replied to 154bmag's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
So basically this article just says that the real danger doesn't come from the rides themselves, but from the parents who forget that it's their own responsibility to keep their children safe. Why does this not surprise me? Here's my advice: Know your child's limits, and don't put your kid in a potentially dangerous situation that he/she isn't mature/experienced enough to handle. -
B&M Wing Rider Coasters - Love or Hate?
nannerdw replied to jfruge's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm tall and very skinny, and I HATED the restraints on Wild Eagle. At the end of the ride, the restraint was so tight that I couldn't take a full breath. My collar bones felt bruised for the next two days after I rode it. -

I wonder which will happen first, Timberliners on the Voyage or the opening of Flying Turns at Knoebels. -

Least favorite coaster element.

The brake run on Wild Eagle, because it allows you to notice just how uncomfortably tight the restraints have become. -

It's great to see B&M breaking up the series of inversions with a large camelback hill. That's one thing that was really missing on Wild Eagle, IMO. -
They started experimenting a little bit with Tennessee Tornado. Was this their only large loop?

How well do you handle hangtime?

+1 I'm not sure I ever want to ride a Top Spin again after that. Maybe I'd go on one if it had a different ride cycle.
