  1. Is it really a violation? I don't see how it is. I mean it is not like they are flat out denying them access to the ride, they are just limiting the access.
  2. It wasn't the standard model as soon as the first piece of track got installed...you're hardly going out on a limb. I was talking about the main arena of the ride. You can have the station and such in other locations, but have the bulk of the ride be the same. Just look at the Scooby-Doo wild mouse in Australia. It was kind of assumed that since every El Loco coaster thus far has been the same layout, this one would be too.
  3. I really don't think its an issue. They are trying to maximize the capacity of an already low-capacity ride. It would really slow down the ride loading process.
  4. I am going to go out on a limb and say that this is definitely not the standard model. Just look at how that drop curves at the bottom.
  5. Did Six Flags own the skycoaster? I know that sometimes they just get a cut of the profits for the use of the land. Where did this skycoaster end up?
  6. ^The only part of it that gives me a headache are the turns after the first two inversions. The drop really is fantastic though.
  7. ^ Actually, Six Flags Mexico has one. Maybe this is a relocation?
  8. Do we have any idea what the black parts of the seat is? Those were not there previously.
  9. However, Mt. Olympus has certainly done nothing to ease the issues. I would say that probably about 70 to 80% of the blame should be put on the park in the case of Hades. with 10 to 20% of the blame being put on PTC. I really love the Gravity Group's designs. They are fantastic and a great improvement over the old CCI designs, but they still have the problems that the CCI coasters have now, where they are showing their age much more quickly. That being said, I am now a total RMC fan on top of already being an Intamin fan for wooden coasters, so it is hard for me to really stay unbiased.
  10. And could theme it to Aquaman. As appealing as that does sound, I think they are just going to do the generic theme like they did at La Ronde.
  11. ^ It's because B&M's are known for their popularity with guests, extreme reliability, and visual appeal. Parks want that and launch coasters are not the most reliable rides, historically. So, if B&M can produce a well thought out and reliable launched ride, you can bet all your money that they will start popping up everywhere. That and B&M is one of the best, if not the best, manufacturers in the world along with Intamin.
  12. ^Elissa, didn't you used to really enjoy Hades? How does it compare now from your previous visit? Did the Timberliners help at all?
  13. Are you crazy!? Have you not seen what RMC has done to Texas Giant and Iron Rattler? Texas Giant is a top 3 steel coaster in the Mitch Hawker and top 5 in the Golden Tickets. I'm sure Iron Rattler is going to be in the top 10 too. If RMC does the conversion, it would become a whole brand new ride, and the park could market the ride as a whole brand new ride and not even have to lie (ex. Mt. Olympus and Hades 360). RMC has said that Texas Giant and Iron Rattler is barely pushing the limits of what they can do with their track. So I'm assuming with each design that they do, it's only going to get crazier. The park has more to gain with a conversion of the Boss than leaving the coaster as it currently stands. Plus, It doesn't look like corporate as a whole lot of interest in expanding Six Flags St. Louis beyond the current boundaries. Remember, Boomerang took the place of the Bumper Cars. have ridden the NTAG. I was not impressed. The experience was too smooth and lacked force. While I acknowledge that for now it does well in rankings, coasters at the top do not always stay at the top (see Timber Wolf). Because God forbid a ride be too smooth. NTAG had tons of forces, certainly more than Boss does now. CCI's designs are heavily outdated now and RMC's rides are some of the greatest out there. Just convert Boss and be done with it.
  14. I really think that this ride represents a new style of creativity from B&M. I absolutely love the heartline on this ride. It's so cool.
  15. I am actually really excited about the new restraints! There was some minor head banging with the regular B&M restraints and these will totally get rid of it and it shouldn't matter if there is a rattle on this with the new restraints.
  16. I think SDC's Screamin Swing is doing just fine because it is still operating and Dollywood just added one a few years back.
  17. ^I think that is how a lot of people feel, especially since it has been seven years since Voyage.
  18. What the hell did I just watch?!? I literally gasped in the middle of my office because I am so shocked to see the seventh sign of the apocalypse in real time. The cars sure do look fantastic though.
  19. Why would they other putting in a Euro-Fighter, which is already a low capacity ride to start out with, when they have Maverick? Euro-Fighters are too rough for my tastes. A Premier launcher would be nice, but I don't really see it. Once again, they have Maverick to fill the launcher void. I think it will be a while before we see any new coasters at The Point.
  20. I have a feeling that this isn't going to hurt SDC at all. Outlaw Run needed to adjust the restraints a little and now that they have, there will be some upset guests, but they are trying to enhance the experience for the majority of guests.
  21. Dear wonderful and perfect Title Fairy, Will you please grant me the honor of changing my title to "I wish I had a spirit animal like Jose Cuervo." I would be eternally grateful an honored with such a wonderful privileged.
  22. I seriously doubt that there is a scandal in the industry to lighten the queue lines. That is kind of ridiculous. Why are you against parks selling fast passes? They help the parks turn more of a profit and they give park guests the opportunity to ride more in a day! I think parks selling fast passes is one of the best things to happen to the industry, business wise, in years. Additionally, the use of the test seat could really help with accidents like the NTAG accident not happen. Saying that the seat belt is responsible is somewhat out there. The seat belt is there to make sure the restraint is doing its job. Moreover, the use of test seats, regardless of whether or not they are accurate, can help prevent a walk of shame type situation. Even if the test seat was incorrect, there really isn't anything that we can do about it.
  23. ^Probably, haha. Jokes aside, Colossus is really just a boring and bumpy ride.
  24. What would the vertical side bars have done? In this situation, probably nothing.
  25. Did Intamin redo the track-work? When did this renovation happen?
