Cedar Fair's (FUN) CEO Matt Ouimet on Q3 2015 Results - Earnings Call Transcript $FUN http://www.seekingalpha.com/article/3655906 Awesome news! I would have stayed an extra day up north for the PAC-12 championship game if I knew CGA would be open the next day! -

agreed, and that triangle was a lot of fun Love that Europe has things like that at seemingly every park! I'm not a fan of this one though...since it did almost kill me! -
IoA as a whole in it's original form was by far the nicest theme park in the U.S. and definitely top 5 in the world IMO. While WWoHP looks amazing, I'm a sucker for original themed things (read: not IP based), so I really enjoyed the original lost continent as something that offset all the branded things at IoA.

Half a day is enough at USH to do everything. It's a small park. Some great attractions, sure, but it's just small. Every time I've gone I've been able to bang out everything by lunch time. Then I spend the rest of my day re-riding everything in the lower lot. I would say that with the expected crowds once Potter opens, it'll be more than a 1/2 day park. But one full day with the FOL pass should still do the trick.

I loved the re-do of Disney Springs. I like that it finally has continuity and so many new venues. -

That was canceled because it never got approval from the county. Neighbors around it complained. -

Agreed. I am less skeptical than I was before, but I still don't want to get my hopes up too much. I am crossing my fingers on this one! The family wanting to build it are successful developers from Miami. I have a feeling they'll get the funding. -

Cedar Fair adds new limits on dinning plans.

There's fine print in every theme park ticket/pass that says "subject to change..." As I originally said, my guess is this is the beginning of turning Haunt into separate ticket events across the chain. From a business standpoint, you are paying all the extra staff required of a haunt, but losing out on extra revenue if dining plan holders can still use their pass. Most likely the change was a response to the success of Haunt's across the chain and noticing food and beverage revenue wasn't where it should be. -

News that very conveniently just happened to leak out at around the time of the final vote last night. Almost like somebody didn't want Skyplex to have all the news headlines to themselves. I don't think headlines has anything to do with it. It came out because people kept wondering why Universal had so much interest in a project that is 2 miles away from their current property. -

I stand corrected. However, it's still not surprising since those are "special events" where park hours wouldn't be what they are if not for Halloween. Wouldn't be surprised if this is the beginning of them becoming ticketed. -

I'm not sure why this is surprising? Those are all separate ticket events. -
