  1. My understanding is that the ballots are by invitation/recommendation only.
  2. ^The boats can be derailed by the wake if not fully loaded and going fast before stopping. This incident in question actually did happen (though the lawsuit appears to be BS based on this witness account): http://jimhillmedia.com/editor_in_chief1/b/jim_hill/archive/2010/02/09/what-happens-when-things-actually-do-sort-of-kind-of-go-horribly-wrong-at-a-disney-theme-park.aspx#.UFDgEmjSLpg
  3. ^The rumors are that you will have to buy the adaptor and it will only be available from apple to begin with (they don't want to let their 3rd party suppliers in on that cash just yet). I love my android phone (and I'm sure android fanboys will be complaining that android already has many of these features...the difference is Apple packages it all together in the perfect ecosystem that allows for bug free apps/great battery life/simple experience everyone can enjoy), but this sure is a tempting reason to try and break my contract. If nothing else, I will definitely be buying the new iPod Touch!!
  4. ^Bummer. Was actually a decent ride. Hopefully it finds another home (maybe they had to sell/trade it in to finance the new ride), as there are not many of those mice left! Glad I got the credit.
  5. ^Tampa Bay and its pirate ship in the end zone is pretty cool too! But anyways...back to college football: 5 PAC-12 teams ranked! Don't think that will be sustained, but it's pretty cool for now! Also, Notre Dame is making its move to eventually merge into the ACC for football.
  6. Lo-Q definitely is the industry leader in "line management." They could do wonders for any of the major parks in China, which all seem to suffer from horrible operations!
  7. ^Very cool that they are doing this. I'm sure the parents and kids really appreciate it!
  8. ^There's already a side gate there they could use. They also have (had?) the Discover cardholders exclusive entrance, so they could just use that.
  9. ^They've had print at home tickets for awhile. On the flip side to what you're saying, there are also tons of people who would rather do without the hassle of printing tickets and then having to remember to bring them. So far I've used my phone to buy tickets on stub hub and use it as my boarding pass on Delta flights. Loved not having to remember anything besides opening the app.
  10. ^I believe WAY back in the day it was a demonstration area for Texas Instruments products. It was formerly the flashback entrance/gift shop. I think the clown maze also used it during Fright Fest.
  11. ^Agreed. Side note: projection mapping on Disney castles is still badass. Those preview images look awesome.
  12. ^Every single time I've been to WDW, that show has been packed! Even though I am not a fan, it's good to see them responding to guest demand.
  13. I love those farm ads. This one is no exception...kudos to the ad agency they hired for this campaign.
  14. I'm just glad to see Cedar Fair moving forward! They were so far behind the times under Kinzel...
  15. Every year they keep adding more and more delicious choices to the food & wine lineup. Drinking around the world will be even tougher this year...
  16. How does one become a member of this secret club? I hope it doesn't cost a ton of money or involve a really long waiting list.
  17. ^Coincidence the award ceremony was hosted at Dollywood? I think not.
  18. Tragic. The way Japan seems to do things, I doubt this ride will ever reopen.
  19. Awesome find! I will admit that every time I've gone on a cruise, I've always watched those behind the scenes shows that are aired on the in-house ship channel.
  20. Official press release statistics are never exaggerated.
  21. ^Is that place ever really going to open? Or just stay a warehouse for ACEr's to keep collecting stuff for themselves?
  22. Hopefully this is just a temporary roadblock. Not really promising if they can't get funding, since they have all the historical data from the old water park about what kind of business a water park in the Irvine area can do...
  23. A toilet bowl+tornado=cool slide concept! Love that water park rides are finally moving forward in the last 10 years, instead of the same 5 slides we saw over and over built for so long.
  24. None of that themeing looks very expensive, so I wouldn't be surprised if they built it all. Maintaining it on the other hand...
  25. It's more valuable as scrap than it ever could be taking up warehouse space waiting to be used as a haunt prop! Side note: people who are really in the know rarely post about it online. So keep the speculation going...makes for fun conversation.
