  1. That happened last year but there are so few people in the park left for CAD I don't think the Physics Day kids would have hurt the event. They're usually the good students in class that get to go.
  2. This morning I've seen the tag "Burlington Coat Factory" not "Donkies" on this site. I'm impressed because I'm near where the company is based and where the original store is. I'm not seeing things and local address software is not being used I suppose. I don't shop there. I prefer Kohl's. Thanks ADMIN EDIT: moved to Random Forum - Larry
  3. With you guys there this is international press coverage. Maybe they will need to install a valley platform there.
  4. Voodoo is pretty good considering the driving charge. Deja Vu is an awesome matching name.
  5. Is there still a spot on the Behemoth trip? St. Louis was foremost in my running this year but now I heard about WoF for next year. I might put it off.
  6. As soon I reported the Puma name on another site a source told me that although it was on the park website it was to test the market for the eventual name Hellcat. The coaster never physically rolled in the offseason with this Puma name. It was all online and it's actually not even listed on RCDB as part of its history. It's probably like Mantis' original name Banshee. I've only been on the ride in its opening month with its original name Tsunami so I can say I've never been on J2.
  7. The last owner of the park got a really aggressive ride. Hopefully there are more picnics this year and I see good things. I'm convinced I want to go. As a rider on the original Tsunami coaster this ride is aggressive enough to fit the name. The new name matches up I believe. The park should get another calmer coaster like a Triple Hurricane or a Spinning Mouse.
  8. I was really impressed with SFOT operations during my first visit in 2006. I also liked all the waving hands and smiles of the employees at Everland in 2007.
  9. I just heard the confirmation that Clementon Park's (NJ) wooden coaster is called Hellcat. A few months ago I reported that park's new owners renamed the aggressive coaster originally known as Tsunami and later changed to J2 after the Asian Tsunami disaster to Puma. The park's new website posted the coaster with that name. I learned from a source shortly after that it wasn't the intended name. Rather it tested the market. Today at work I heard a radio commercial for a park with a $49.99 season pass. It wasn't a Six Flags commercial. I initially thought it was Dorney Park but the price was a giveaway surprise that it was actually Clementon Park. At the end of the commercial I heard the name Hellcat. Hellcat indeed is now the wooden's coaster name. To me that sounds closer to the implication the name Tsunami gave.
  10. Yeah, the park does give off a peaceful feeling. I dunno what it is, but I do believe the park still holds some of those Riverside qualities and traits. I believe that too. It's not a huge park, the place has some moderate size. It seems more quiet than anything like SFGADV when I first came over. Was the oval ends of the racetrack facing into the river or was the track running parallel to the river? I've never been to the park before the conversion and when Black Widow was there. I have one friend that has when Mind Eraser was new.
  11. Since SF went so far with their other SF parks in the invert choice there's no need to change it now and make some of us that are locals at the others jealous. It's a proven intense design. The colors allow it to fit in with their section. The ride would be out of place as Batman, as a dark green or black color, whatever. They could have really trashed and dissed the reputation of the park if they went SLC so be glad and thankful.
  12. I'm more sure about Top Thrill Dragster than Maverick. I'll take a sure shot of getting pulled to the MAX, all the fire that goes with it than what I think is a weird coaster, particularly in the second half. I don't like the big S like section out of the second launch. Even though TTD lacks Kingda Ka's "Happy Hill" I still choose TTD.
  13. Thanks for sharing man. It's sounds as much fun as Medusa is for me. I understand the whole Medusa/Talon/Great Bear realm of intensity. It's not Kumba. It was worthy of a myspace bulletin my announcing the ride to friends that could like the band. By word of mouth I've been telling people I know that are visiting MB this year about taking some time out to check it all out.
  14. The orange on the train is what makes look very Fiesta Texas, as if it's finally landed.
  15. Are you guys done with the Behemoth trip roster?
  16. The Boomerang at Fiesta Texas is the best one I've ever been on. After I rode it I asked "Why can't every Boomerang be this good?" It was surprisingly smooth compared to all the others. Must have been that mid day +100 degree heat wave I was in. I love the Goliath paint scheme. It came out way better than the altered pic to introduce the ride. The second pic does look like a Coaster Dynamix set. I just wish this coaster was named Shockwave.
  17. The opening date for this coaster is really scheduled for July 4th? I was randomly looking for airfare from Philly, checking out the Phillies site as well, and found the Phils are playing the Cards June 14-15. It would be cool to go to a game and then the park the next day of the weekend.
  18. How about resurrecting the Shockwave name? They have to still have SFGAM shirts somewhere.
  19. It's behind one of the woodies. That's the Canadian Minebuster I guess? It's like Cedar Fair disregarded Italian Job and built ride over it. If it was their park earlier I guess they wouldn't have that one coaster. That one trim brake has more Gianovola looking track leading up to it. Steps to the trim brake are built into the spine.
  20. I am confirmed for Six Flags Great Adventure, my homepark, this year. I could always go to SFNE but I've been avoiding, avoiding Lake Compounce. I should finally get the place. Dorney is easy to do if I want to do it. I was at Hershey last year; I'd rather go to Knoebel's first if Flying Turns opens. I had my sights set on a Missouri trip this year SFStl to Worlds of Fun. A coaster forum member directed I should go up to Des Moines, then Valleyfair! and MoA to end the trip. Then this TPR Canada/Western NY trip came up. I've been to Niagara Falls so many times but couldn't bring myself to drive up to a B&M deficient til recently area. If I return to see my sister in Columbus again this year I'd like to go to Zoombezi Bay to get the Sea Dragon coaster or return to Kings Island. When in Columbus I have a preference to Kings Island over Cedar Point. If my sister wants to go to Cedar Point my opinion would change.
  21. I guess the longer end is the one with the twist? Looks like it will be on the Laser end?
  22. I usually go to the water fountain at parks. That's why SFA sucks. I eat a lot at home or get a sandwich at the Wawa down the street outside of SFGADV. If I had to buy a food item at the park it would be a churro, usually one of the cheapest items.
  23. Tape Deck? That's so Tom Cruise 80s. In NJ people smoke outside on the bar decks because of the indoor smoking ban. I'm not a smoker but people can't smoke off this deck? Dam.
