  1. In terms of everyone talking about location of the park is the complaint about just the seasonal market it's in or the fact it's just beyond the Rt 17 Bypass on the way out of town? I thought it would be helpful to be on the outskirts of town for traffic flow, expansion to keep the traffic jam that never came to be out of the downtown/beachfront. I haven't been to town in 10 years. Another amusement scar for the town.
  2. For me it was riding both Ravine Flyer II and Silver Comet in the same day. I wish I had another day off that trip and went to Canada Wonderland.
  3. I'm pushing towards my return to Kings Island to get Diamondback. I'd like to get Coney Island as well. I think this will be my Goodbye to Ohio as my sister in Columbus will move this upcoming year.
  4. I pointed out on another site, a fan one of SFGADV, when I saw the blue repainted track of Medusa that Six Flags has the Superman: Krypton Coaster name in use at SFFT for their FLOORLESS. I pointed out Shockwave as well. With the recycling of the Goliath name and lil coaster fans complaining about SFGADV's Medusa's paint, I sure was not, it turns out to be the perfect timing for this new paintjob. Why waste the retheme on SUF? The location of the coaster, yes, brings up the question. I do want to complete the game with the Christmas card though I now know what the message is.
  5. Mission Accomplished. I renewed my pass for SFGADV. I stretched myself to get this best offer. I'll just add parking at the beginning in the season.
  6. Last year I noticed the ad in early December on Yahoo for a Six Flags One Day Season Pass Sale. This year it's back as I just saw an ad in a MySpace bulletin and Fan page on the Facebook. It's this weekend. Season Passes are 20% off this one day only. Ends 12/15. Find the ad, check the website.
  7. Titan, that's a great idea for the market. Trenton's EHL hockey team used to called the Titans. There was New York Titans football club as well.
  8. I really wanted to know what attractions were available and thanks to you I now know. I was more interested in the blonde actually than the rates. Thank you though.
  9. Actually I think it was just a matter of running rail track rust running down onto the lime green track of Medusa. The humidity will help do that in New Jersey. I don't think the lime really faded at all and thus was an ingenious pick for a coaster color. Medusa seemed to always have a nuclear lime glow.
  10. Actually it's Scream that is a mirror of Medusa. Medusa was first and based on Kumba in large part.
  11. Those supports don't look done so I hope we end up with another color there. Kudos to Flying Phil. He's my homepark savior during the off season it seems.
  12. I think this could end up being better than Maverick. I hate those Maverick restraints.
  13. I would give it a chance. I actually am a Hard Rock Cafe fan and pin collector and hope to cross that up with my rollercoaster enthusiast hobby. I wanted to get to this park. I just didn't myself getting there in its first year. Otherwise I hope SF would take one serious shot at LZ. Could it be a good fit for SFStL?
  14. The trackwork is going up like the deadline is December 1st. I'd say definitely by and within the first week of December it should all be there.
  15. I'm impressed with the layout. It will do a S turn inline twist. A certain Maverick coaster couldn't pull that off.
  16. You guys haven't seen the evergreen tradition before? I guess it's more prominent in the Northeast. I've seen it quite a bit. I think Target though has a problem with that on their new store construction sites. I think it's a Norwegian tradition.
  17. This sounds great. I just wish I was closer than the far away Philly area.
  18. If G'ville was a Mercedes Benz logo it would be right smack in the middle with WA in the north, Tampa southwest, Orlando southeast, all just about a 100 miles away in each direction. Hence, I jumped on this even though I didn't along with my brother too well and I had a Southwest coupon I couldn't just waste.
  19. I agree that this proposed layout would make me not regret losing the wooden coaster at all. This is probably even a better deal than the Hercules demolition - Hydra construction on its spot that took place at Dorney. The wooden coaster looked like it had a good layout. I can't speak about the ride quality though.
  20. SFGADV The parking lot of Clementon Park - Hellcat wasn't open - Not paying Coney Island Sesame Place Lake Compounce Dorney Park Waldameer Martin's Fantasy Island (I will get you Canada's Wonderland and Marineland) Darien Lake Seabreeze Sylvan Beach Morey's Pier Fantasy Island NJ Krazy City - Pallisades Center Mall NY Knoebels Funplex - Mount Laurel, NJ FEC Hersheypark Wild Adventures Magic Kingdom EPCOT Animal Kingdom Disney's Hollywood Studios Old Town
  21. My waitress at Hooters had awesome blue eyes so I liked my lunch viewing football. I guess I didn't go to a real bar for the first EAGLES game I watched. Later at another bar next to Gumby's Pizza where I watched the Phils they didn't have Miller on tap on pitcher night! Grrrrrr. So yeah, that was my first and probably only Wild Adventures visit. Just watch a get a bug to want to get those other two coasters and then really regret it later. I left my ticket that I just used with my brother and told him what's up. Maybe he could avenge me.
  22. You nailed it right there. I was there this past Sunday; quite humid, spitting rain. I was screwed over with the "Cheetah and Hangman closed today" sign at the ticket window. I took my loss and went for what I could. I was already there and not going to turn back. Gold Rush and Fiesta Express were even closed. I went to a Wendy's before the park open but that was not yet open as well. The employee outside told me so. I'm not sure if he was being too nice. So with the hour I had at Wild Adventures I contemplated going to SFOG 3 hours away. That would make for a 5 hour drive back to Gainesville. I just went back to Gainesville and watched the EAGLES and Phils game at a bar with my brother. I had to do the "visit my brother" part of the trip as much as I like coasters. I even heard Mindbender was closed but I just read that it reopened. I want to go back to see my brother next year so I could go to SeaWorld and ride Manta and Shamu Express. A return to BGA or IOA would be on my radar. I don't think a return WA would be worth it for a Vekoma SLC and a wooden hybrid that doesn't get high marks as much as I always want to get more credits. Maybe if a season pass was just a few bucks more plus my purchase credit for the present day. I just wasn't thinking that far ahead in the moment and wasn't convinced. I thank you for everyone's help.
  23. I'm going to Wild Adventures in Valdosta on Sunday. I'm not really excited to pay $45 for a Vekomafest. Did anyone in the Southeast see coupons for this park or not this past summer?
  24. Great clip. When I saw the description of Jay I thought they interviewed you at Universal Citywalk and you said something outrageous enough to get on the show. This is better.
  25. I think on my Germany-Czech-Poland tour I begin next Monday we will have the first night stay in Munich I believe so I hope to wander over to Oktoberfest the evening to get those loopers. The pics are a great help. Thank you.
