New park China, Happy Valley Chengdu
CHILLERLC1 replied to RonLaan's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Surely as a coaster fan this development of Happy Valley in China is interesting particularly with the SLC alternates and the Mega Lite but I'll always prefer Happy Valley Pennsylvania - Penn State. -
California Theme Park help!
CHILLERLC1 replied to PaulZ's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think they meant Knotts and DCA in the same day. Knotts is worthy of at least 3/4's a day. I don't think DCA is worth more than a half so I see why they wanted to pair the two together. I did both Disney parks in the same day before. I wish I had gone to USH. I did all the other parks you want in my same week. My Presidents Day was reserved for The Price is Right in 2005. -
Planning a Trip to NJ Six Flags
CHILLERLC1 replied to lorddoonga's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would still ride the Dark Knight. I would get mandatory Flashpass for SUF at least. Good luck during June that it's light if you go during a weekday. Blackbeard Treasure Train tends to have the shortest line for a coaster in the park and it's fun. -
I'm not an ACEr yet so with this public invite I definitely took it up. It was my first enthusiast event. I was really glad that a larger than anticipated crowd showed up. I still was able to get a bowl of chowder. To shore up the rest they needed they got Philly soft pretzels. That always works. In my gift bag I got a piece of coaster lift chain. It was colder inside the building than outside indeed. To see the pictures on the wall of the ride, to touch the walls, and see the bit of coaster track and car that still was around was really cool. I had no idea til today that the old pier had a junior wooden coaster clone of Sea Dragon/Scooby Doo coaster called Flyer until Kamikaze came around. I liked the coaster shop tour and checking out the wooden coaster model later. I thank the Morey's for a great farewell event. Very much appreciated.

B&M Lift Catwalks

At least they didn't cheap out on my NITRO. -
Catholic School Girl Ride. Nice. Well I faced the music with this new name. At least the logo is still there. I'll get my Voodoo shirt airbrushed. I joked with a Dorney fan that Dorney could get a wooden sign carved at Knoebels that they could just screw in over the old Voodoo name on the main sign.

In 2006 I took pleasure in this option. It was a really nice gesture in the park to just let me chill even though Bud is not my preferred brand. It was a pressure free environment to sample their product. The landscaping and vibe was just great. My brother at least went to the Brewmaster club in Tampa as I got a few extra cycles on Sheikra. -

No Pictures Allowed ???

I wouldn't be surprised if it was the band or the label. I use a clip of Goo Goo Dolls' Better Days official music video every year on a profile for New Years Eve to not find it this year except concert clips. Maybe WB wanted the official one down. -
Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride

Girl's amazement at Terminator is the best pic I've seen on TPR in awhile. I mean I love coasters but.... -
Track Spottings!

I say: Kennywood. They could kill two birds with one stone if they get an invert. They need a modern looping ride. They would only need to build this one. -

Wow, that trip report was really helpful in developing an opinion on the ride. -
I love that Mr. Six will return.

Possessed is a good replacement name. Possessions could keep its name as the shop. I swore there was the tag line "It will Possess you" on one of the first Voodoo shirts so I held out on getting one. Finally at the merchandise clearance I got one of the white ones available still then. I will get the phrase airbrushed on the back.

I liked Tennessee Tornado's prelift, going through the maintenance shed. Hydra's jo-jo roll is pretty good. I do not like Dominator's. I like Roar's run at SFA.

Has anyone been on this coaster? I would like to know if it's a good woodie. From the videos on Youtube it looks really cool. It looks like it has a nice layout. I could see on the Mitch 2007 Wooden poll it was ranked near #175, not far from Grizzly CGA. Ouch! Maybe it's part there not being many people that have been on it? -

My Philadelphia EAGLES - Awesomeness. I don't think Philly would want to face Baltimore if Philly does its work and gets in. -
Oscar Worthy. At least for Heath Ledger.

Quassy Amusement Park Discussion Thread
CHILLERLC1 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I should get the Wild Mouse before and if this wooden coaster gets approved? I was thinking 2009 would be the year I'd aggressively get those missing Quassy credits. I was warned about Wild Mouse's lifeline.
