  1. Conneaut Lake Park: to give them a first season back support or playing catchup with Camden Park in WV? Do I go after Coney Island Ohio?
  2. I take El Toro's first drop like it's nothing. It's so smooth, easy, the gateway to craziness. I think I've held the most respect for going down the Coney Island Cyclone's first drop.
  3. Will this be the first coaster I ride when I turn 30?
  4. Lockheed Martin headquarters is in Bethesda, MD. That is a current Lockheed Martin facility in KoP that went through the GE Aerospace, Martin Marietta, Lockheed Martin change. There used to be a huge satellite on the PA Turnpike side of LM property downhill by the eastbound on ramp. If there is anything worth photo-ing in KoP it would have been the massive mall and nearby Valley Forge.
  5. I don't see how a bridge project is a concern unless it directly affect the main conduit into the park. I'm generally a fan of transportation projects. I went to the park on Friday 6/12. In typical fashion I came in the evening until closing. This year I have given both SFA and SFKK a chance and I see both have turned around my previous perceptions of the parks. The parks had a nicer atmosphere I thought. I noticed the theming and realized SF takes care of the place. I also rode Blizzard River for the first time. Great rapids. At closing I went downtown to Fourth Street Live to see Filter. It was a cool night in Louisville.
  6. I was just at the park about a month ago. I hope it wasn't the last I saw of TT.
  7. You have 2/3 of a less trip than I did from NJ so I would do it.
  8. Laser looks great. No more faded Medusa wannabe colors and grease streaks. I'm glad this ride is refurbished and being assembled in Deutschland. Knowing the Germans they probably laughed at zee stupid added seatbelts.
  9. That was great to see that pic of proof that the park was really packed on the 4th of July. I'm glad that it's backed up. I'm watching the fireworks show on the 'Tube.
  10. Kumba is my #1. I gray out a lot on NITRO. No other B&M hyper in the US does that for me. I've been on all North American B&M hypers except Raging Bull and Behemoth.
  11. My friend was lucky to get this coaster day one before the adjustments. The swings tilted me over the edge when I visited in 2007. My friend said they no longer tilt this year.
  12. I like the Huss package. Crossing my fingers they get a great Fourth crowd with that promo.
  13. What do brothers know? At least you're coming to my homepark.
  14. That doesn't look like a traditional NJ Stewart's.
  15. WWK is the father of waterparks in the region being probably the oldest. I think HH as a younger park is more expansive. Recently WWK has received upgrades just to modernize. I'm not a big waterpark fan but it would be nice to get a Tornado at HH. I guess they figure since WWK doesn't have one.... The lines at Dorney at basically a walk on joke compared to SFGADV. The only wait you may annoyingly have may be a 30 minute wait at least for the Wild Mouse.
  16. I've seen only a handful of Busch Gardens commercials up here in the Philly area but then the Williamsburg area commercials just avalanche over onto the airwaves. I wish the Myrtle Beach area did that with their golfing, beaches, Freestyle Music Park. They could slip a shot of the Time Machine in there just like Busch provides an Alpengeist shot for the Williamsburg experience commercial. HRP and FMP could have benefited from regional pooling not alone. Even Hershey recently as a region with Harrisburg created a commercial for a family stimulus plan; coming and staying in the Hershey area. Hersheypark is indirectly advertised there like the Williamsburg commercial.
  17. The swinging ship is in awesome shape. I rode it earlier in the month. I took a pic of the name plate on the control panel and shot a cycle with "Bad" playing on the ride.
  18. Beech Bend will have free rides on Michael's Swinging Ship on Sunday Night from 5-7 CST.
  19. "As an additional tribute, pay homage to Michael's style with the "Jackson 5" price. Any Park guest, who dons one of the following items will be admitted to the Park for $5: * a single white glove * a red zipper jacket * a pair of white socks with dress shoes" Cool Promo. I wonder if some minor league parks are doing that as well.
  20. I did the strip, the shows, the coasters of Vegas, Grand Canyon, the Dam, Old Las Vegas. If I go back I still have to do the red rocks park west of town. I'm not sure what else would be new though in Vegas. I'm over the town that looks in worse shape than in 2006. I know the Hard Rock Cafe: The Strip is coming at least.
  21. I also recall on SNL Michael Jackson also rode Tremors of Silverwood.
  22. www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=569052432449&ref=nf If you see it you see it, if you don't I don't really care. I don't post to Youtube. Earlier this month I rode the Sea Dragon at Beech Bend that was acquired from an auction of Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch park rides. I got up close to the loading platform to record the ride's music during a cycle. I also recall Colorado Adventure at Phantasialand was really named "Colorado Adventure - The Michael Jackson Thrill Ride."
  23. Other than to gamble and barhop I don't see my reason to go back to Vegas. More attractions are closed, stalled. Looking at the flood of new houses in 2006 I'm not surprised it's amongst the nation's largest suffering areas in this recession. Now I'm working my opposite word of mouth on this place, telling people I've been to FMP.
  24. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a larger hyper coaster. The Germans might be tricky with that label and it might not be as clear as the Cedar Fair market team made it out for MF.
