  1. If Twisted Twins was really a poorly engineered ride and that is a valid reason to let it fall apart, a Tony Hawk coaster would be an awesome replacement ride in that corner of the park. Could they have fit the Raptor clone back there that went to France? hahaha If they used the portable version of Tony Hawk like the model at SFDK it could go up quicker. If Dorney Park and Darien Lake taught us anything it's you can put up portable models on blocks, filled in swimming pools.
  2. I would rank them: 1. Riddler's Revenge 2. Georgia Scorcher 3. Chang I've been on RR, GS, Chang, Mantis, Vortex CGA, and Vortex Carowinds.
  3. Some of them seem cheaper nowadays so I may ride one. Most likely it would be alone. I think Carowinds should take theirs out and put a Xcelerator clone there by Hurler.
  4. I love the park too. I just hope to bring my sun glasses next time. That was a goofy request the guy wanting to ride The Time Machine to make a point for his toupee but it's funny press news, any news.
  5. Returning back to SFGADV most likely or Quassy - mid August.
  6. I bet they could do a B&M flyer and fit the pretzel loop entered batwing style into the river dive area. It's very RCT like. If they build an additional wooden coaster in the area I'm happy too.
  7. I really hope the new attraction would do the same dive over the river. I would hope they recreate that element with whatever is planned for that area. They could change everything else. I'm also wondering about Eagle Fortress in Everland if it was cleared to reopen or not.
  8. This was my first horrifying ride in my preteens. I'll never forget that experience. It did whip me into eventually coaster enthusiast shape.
  9. I found the SFGADV VIPER was overrated. It's long gone now. I love the Riddler's Revenge. I'm just not too crazy for the second half. I love the Incredible Hulk coaster.
  10. I came up to the park in 5pm hour Sunday. I knew I wanted Devil's Den and Tumble Bug but that day I thought I wouldn't have enough time and would have to cancel the riding. Nope. With a half hour to spare because I think the park closed at 6 Sunday i made it to the two. Seeing the kiddie coaster open surprised me.
  11. I noticed most of the new ones at the beginning of the season. I liked the additions.
  12. Go to Conneaut Lake Park this year on your way from Route 80 up 79 towards Erie to get Waldameer Park. Give that place a shot in the arm until they come back hopefully with Blue Streak next year. It's too bad Geauga Lake is gone. Knoebels is a given considering how in the general area Route 80 is. I would say Rt 80 to Knoebels down south to Hershey, west to Altoona for Lakemont and Delgrossos using 99 then to go North. 99 will go up to 80. Take 80 west to 79. Conneaut Lake Park. Go North to 90. Get Waldameer. Then go west on 90/2 to Cleveland.
  13. That commercial guy looks part Conan O Brien and part Sam Donaldson. Please invite Sam Donaldson to test his hair piece if the riding is not too much for his retired ABC News correspondent self.
  14. When I went in June the Park opened at 11 or 11:30 so it didn't make a difference. I went to The Time Machine first. I like the attention given on Roundabout.
  15. I just rode it on July 10th. The cycle was fine. It's just the one operator operation I didn't care for.
  16. I finally opened my vacuum sealed shrunk to a tiny guitar packaged FMP tee shirt. It's the current logo not the first draft looking tee shirt at the Merchantile. It's all white with just the logo but it's a steal at $8.95.
  17. I went Sunday actually. The whole park looked pretty cool. The wooden coaster looks like a fun out and back. It was a biker's Sunday there. The real surprise was walking by the beach. The Beach Club was packed. I found the ballroom site. With it so flat it looks like a good site for a Wild Mouse in the future. I bought tickets for Devil's Den and the Tumble Bug. The Tumble Bug operator had a cool ACE pin. I did pick up a brochure in the park office. Thanks for the advice. I wish the place a lot of luck. It has a nice charm. I'm really glad I went. Now I can say I've been to Conneaut Lake Park, Freestyle Music Park, and Ghost Town in the Sky in their first years back.
  18. Did the Bizarro worm hole open up for you that Sunday? I did early June a Sunday a couple years ago and it was walk on all day. I did Dorney a Sunday in late August to have my goodbye ride on Laser. After getting the other coasters I was out of the park by 2.
  19. I'm doing a well enough job to observe each Carowinds and KD project in their own realms. I am thrilled for Carowinds actually much more than for KD.
  20. I like the idea of this promotion during the core part of the season. Maybe they'll be lucky to score some of those same people after Labor Day.
  21. I hope to be there Saturday and at least get on the Tumbler and Devil's Den. Is there a park map for this park this year? I have collection going on my door for the parks I hit this year.
  22. 1. Bizarro - Medusa East 2. Medusa West 3. Dominator 4. Superman: Krypton Coaster 5. Kraken 6. Scream! 7 Batman: The Dark Knight 8. Hydra I think I've been on every floorless in the country. I've called Hydra a B&M family floorless mine train because it's quiet slow at times. I dislike the slanted stretched out cobra roll.
