  1. ^In my case, it happened as a single player remote in a single player game (Zelda). The "home" button wouldn't work either. However both issues seem to have corrected themselves since that post, so hopefully it was just a one-time thing.
  2. ^You can also email photos to your Wii, it just takes longer. Unless you plan to get a lot of Virtual Console games (and I do mean a lot, most are rather small. I believe the biggest is N64 at around 30ish megs, but I could be wrong) or want to do custom soundtracks on Excite Truck I don't really see the need for a SD card.
  3. I'm curious...is anyone else having issues with the wiimote not holding up as well as it should? My wiimote's speaker has been cutting out (not just crackling, but stopping entirely) most of today, and another won't work right anymore (the pointer still shows, and moves when the wiimote does, but can't click any buttons when hovering over them).
  4. ^Usually its grayed out until both users have each others numbers added (Actually, usually until shortly after that while its verified). My entry for you is grayed out too, though. The Wii numbers are entered correctly in your address book, yes?
  5. Specific dates, if you're interested: News - Jan 27. Forecast - Dec 20. At least, that's what Nintendo says. It would have been nice if one of the first two network updates made those channels mention something about the fact that its not supposed to be up yet.
  6. ^I made one of those as well, but he's not set to mingle. Second Mii I made, actually.
  7. ^I made him. Had to after I saw the eyes I ended up using, it fit so well.
  8. ^It doesn't. At least, it doesn't yet. Probably will come down in a Wii firmware update. What I'd like to see them do is add a wifi version of PictoChat, and allow use of the DS as a text entry system...as well as using the Wii as a DS Download Station for demos.
  9. My Wii number is 7928 1627 2268 0779.
  10. Mine were incredibly long as well. And that's if they actually worked, they died due to error several times. But I'm sure it was due to the huge number of Wiis trying to connect/download.
  11. I connected a while ago & downloaded both the firmware updates...
  12. My current wallpaper...made it up of pictures from my last trip to Florida. (larger version here, because of the 800px limit...although you can't make out much more then anyway)
  13. No pictures yet...but I'm going to blue myself.
  14. ^They don't work because that's not a link to an image...it's a link to a page containing an image. The URL used should have been http://p2.rcdb.com/picmax/milky-way/clone-zone3.jpg rather than http://www.rcdb.com/ig857.htm?picture=3.
  15. Am I the only one that thought of this? Look at banner Michael!
  16. Had to update my wallpaper(s) after the ballgame today...
  17. It looks like it'd be a great coaster once a little smoothing goes into it, but it the track comes way too close to itself a couple times. Doesn't pass the tunnel test...
  18. I have both. While the graphics on the PSP are better than that of the DS, the gameplay on the DS makes up for it. I tend to switch off, play one for a while and abandon the other and vice versa.
  19. Haven't had my house robbed but I did have my camera/extra lens taken out of my backpack at Disneyland...I've since bought a travel lock for that part of the backpack. Never a fun thing to have happen (is there a more obvious statement about this subject?) and I hope they catch whoever did it.
  20. Haven't various chinese news sites been reporting this for several years now? With different opening dates each time?
  21. The problem is that a lot of these poeple not only post it without permission, but they also either just remove any identifying marks and pretend they don't know where it came from...Or worse, they take credit for it, as if they made it... That was discussed here.
  22. ^Why not just put a small watermark in a lower corner of the video? Nothing too intrusive, but it still lets people know where it came from.
  23. ^I don't think we're on the same page haha...I wasn't saying the ending was bad, just that its a great cliffhanger...one you love to hate. I don't like posting spoilers without making them invisible...or in this case at least hard to read since there isn't a spoiler code...so highlight the below to read. Far as Barbossa...all that would have to happen is for him to lift a piece of the Aztec gold out of the chest...whether or not that was under his own power doesn't make much difference
  24. Well having just got home from seeing the second installment of Pirates of the Caribbean, I can only use one word to describe it: Incredible. However...if it were possible to describe something as absolutely terrible, but meant in a good way, then that would apply to the ending of this film. Oh, and to those who are wondering, there is a scene following the credits.
  25. ^^Knotts' Corkscrew isn't exactly defunct...it was relocated to Silverwood Theme Park in Idaho where its still operating. http://www.rcdb.com/id177.htm
