  1. My current wallpaper....took it back on the 17th in the Julian area.
  2. ^The original has 10. Two sides, but 5 LEDs on each side. I would venture a guess that the Wiimote sees it simply as two blocks of light rather than individual LEDs, so I doubt adding a few would hurt too much unless they're placed close enough together that the blocks of light overlap. That having been said, I don't see any reason for adding more...I mean, yeah, theoretically it could allow operation from further away...but how far away do you need to be? A custom wireless Wiimote with (I'm assuming, and I could be wrong) the same number of LEDs was used in the Wii's operation in a movie theater with no problems. I'd wager they were playing from further than anyone will be in their own home...
  3. If you have pets, make sure you aren't feeding them anything on these lists: List of cat food List of dog food http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17650075/
  4. I saw it in theaters...and I don't plan to buy the DVD. I thought there were some hilarious parts, and some incredibly stupid parts...it balanced out to just enough where I'd DVR it if it were on an HD movie channel, but not buy the DVD.
  5. Not exactly. It's invisible, but acts as an object. You place it in the same tile as a support, and it removes that support. Doesn't just automatically remove them all.
  6. For those who didn't get the shiny blue light...there's a new (free) Wii channel available now, the "Everybody Votes" channel. Run a system update and then go download through the Wii Shop channel.
  7. In addition to the things CoasterFan listed, you should probably watch how close your track gets to other parts of the ride. Several times in this one the guest would likely hit some body part on other parts of the track. The best way to avoid this is to do a "tunnel test," as its called. Set every piece of track to be inside a tunnel (select the whole ride, hit "G," and check the tunnel option). Then load it up in the simulator and see if any part of the tunnel hits another tunnel. Try to avoid these.
  8. The title was actually revealed a while ago, although I don't have an exact date offhand...today's announcement was just the release date. At any rate I'll be pre-ordering a copy off Amazon soon...don't care to wait at a midnight release, nor do I care to try to find one the day after.
  9. There's actually a good deal of live steam locomotives in G-scale. Don't have a list offhand but I always see them advertised in Garden Railways magazine, and I've seen quite a few in person from the members in San Diego's garden railway club.
  10. I know...but G is much larger than both, which is what I'm going to stay at. What I meant was I don't want to go any smaller than G, other than what I already have in N.
  11. ^Well when I get into live steam I'm still going to be working in G scale...I'd prefer not to go any smaller other than the N-scale Amtrak setup I have.
  12. I work primarily in G scale but I do have some N equipment. Nothing in live steam yet but I'd like to start working with that soon.
  13. Took mine back on Jan 10. Kind of a generic shot but I still like it.
  14. ^But the Wii remote is also bluetooth...Mine hasn't cut out yet, at least. Aside from the speaker anyway.
  15. ^^I never got any confirmation or notice that it shipped. But I did get two wrist straps (in separate packages) despite the fact that I only ordered one.
  16. Got my Wii last month...and since my mother's side of the family does Christmas tonight rather than tomorrow morning I got some cash and a sword. Good times.
  17. I suppose the other reason they aren't packaged together is in the case that one breaks, you don't have to spend extra and buy both. But I do agree with Man. They should be sold together in addition to being sold separately.
  18. ^You have to go to WiiShop channel and once it's connected, go to "WiiWare." It's a free download. You should probably manually update (via the settings menus) to get the forecast channel as well, if you haven't connected in weeks.
  19. I thought that too but some of my double posts were from my PC so it can't be just a Wii problem... As far as the browser, YouTube doesn't seem to be working anymore, even though it worked last night. Says I don't have Flash despite the fact that other Flash sites work fine. Anyone else have this problem?
  20. Woah. I was getting 404 errors so I didn't think anything was going through. Hopefully a mod will catch and delete it soon. At least I'm not the only one who had the problem. At any rate it was a TPR issue. Couldn't post on PC nor Wii, or so I thought.
  21. ^I'm using the browser now...Its not perfect but it is a beta... Youtube does work, a little choppy but not nearly as bad as I had expected.

  23. ^From what I understand you don't have to send anything back. And even if you did, it'd be the wrist strap itself, not the whole controller. At least, I didn't see anything mentioned on Nintendo's page when I ordered mine.
  24. ^Who says you need a Wii? Granted, it's not exactly as the Wii's is, but it gets the job done.
  25. Just get some rechargeable AAs...that's what I did. Just get one set more than you have remotes so you'll always have a spare set when one needs to recharge.
