It is pretty cool...but my mind keeps going back to that one episode of the Simpsons, where they go to Itchy and Scratchy land, being entertained by robots, before they turn and attack everybody for no reason.

Worst Coaster Ever?
Movieguy replied to Mind Eraser's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, Temple of The nighthawk...I;ve never been on it, but I know it used to called Space Center. I wonder why they changed it suddenly? I've seen little bits of Space Center on Youtube, and it seemed decent enough. -
Rats Run Wild at New York KFC/Taco Bell

Maybe this is a sign from god...to not make anymore of these KFC/Taco Bell combo restaurants... -
Wendy's Triple burgers....*Homer Simpson style drooling* I love those things. I go to Wendy's about once every week and get myself one or two of those things. You hear so much about McDonalds in this country, and Burger King, but I'm all about Wendy's. I'd go to Hardee's/Carl's Jr too, if we had one in this area.

Alton Towers Discussion Thread
Movieguy replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's just a shame to see any indoor, space themed coaster fall by the wayside in any park. It seems like in the race for the tallest, fastest coasters on earth, these nice little themed indoor coasters are being forgotten and abandoned, right and left. But who knows...maybe if there's enough support, and they get enough money, Alton Towers will build a new version someday, in whatever shape or form they see fit. -
I don't think we should go as far as to charge the kid with attempted murder. He was probably just horsing around, and didn't realize what he was doing to the guy in the suit. Still, I'm glad Tigger got off, because i agree that it was a very weak looking "punch".

What's the worst song you ever heard?...
Movieguy replied to Movieguy's topic in Random, Random, Random
What's sad about Aqua is that, as evidenced from the videos and DVDs here, they've done other, better songs, like "Halloween" and "Happy Boys and Girls". and all anyone's gonna remember them for is Barbie Girl. -

I don't really drink as much soda as I used to. When I do it's usually the diet soda. -

It's too bad I never got to try Red Fusion...I've heard nothing but good things about it from people who did. Hopefully they'll re-release it one day, like Mountain Dew Livewire. -

Vault is great stuff! Ever since Surge vanished a few years ago, I've been hoping something similar would come along. But Vault is even better, I think. I'm hooked on the stuff. -

^It would probably have a cooler name than "Big One" as well... How about "The Coca-Cola Rock-n-Rolla Rocket of Rockin Intamin Awesomeness"? -
NERDS! *Drools like Homer Simpson* See, that's one thing I like about American candy, I like all the fruity flavored stuff...Nerds, Starbursts, Airheads, Jolly Ranchers, you name it.

^Nice to see a fellow Lion bar lover. And I've got to get my hands on a Double Decker one of these days...I've heard so much about them now, I'm intrigued!

Actually, I believe the cadbury eggs, and other cadbury bars you find here in the States, are made by Cadbury's US operation, which as I recall, was bought by Hershey some years back.

I actually read up on New Coke on Wikipedia...according to the author, New Coke was actually being fairly well received in most of the country...it was just all those vocal Southern loyalists who shouted their hatred the loudest, and gave it a lot of negative press... Then again, I DID read this on Wikipedia. -
You know, I've never had much of a sweet tooth, but I recently got an interesting Christmas gift from a family friend...it was two imported candy bars from Britain, a Cadbury Flake bar, and a Nestle Lion. I loved them both, and once I got back in touch with the friend, I asked her where she got them. It turns out, there's a coffee shop right here in my town that sells them. I don't know if it's because I wanted a change from the usual Hershey bar, but for me there's something...special about British chocolate bars...one could argue that they're about the only decent thing to come out of British cuisine. But seriously...who else here has tried the kind of candies, like the ones I just mentioned?

I can't believe I forgot about Cherry Coke. I love that stuff. I also love that they came out with a Cherry Coke Zero now...it's ideal for a guy who' loves Cherry coke, and is also trying to reduce his sugar intake. -

I'd be sad to see the Penguins go...however, I'd see an upside, if they ended up in one of the other cities that Lemueix reportedly has on his list...Hartford, CT. If this meant a return of the Hartford Whalers...well, then I wouldn't be quite so sad, as they're another NHL franchise I've missed for years. -

I'm so odd...I like both brands. I like the sweet, lighter taste of Pepsi...I just wish they'd go back to the old logo with the white background they had in the 80's...blue labeled Pepsi just doesn't seem right to me. However, I also enjoy the bite that Coca-Cola has in it's flavor. But has anyone noticed you only really get that bite out of the can? I've drunk the stuff out of the bottle and a cup, and it's just not quite the same. -
What I'm looking for is the background music in this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRERFRDFT7I Like I said, there was once a website that had a pretty good wav file of it. I also nabbed it off of Audiogalaxy a few years ago before I lost it on my old Dell.

Happy B-Day, TPR Forums! I know I've been on and off in my coming here as of late, but I still love you guys...all of you! I love the videos, I love the topics, I love all the personalities here, I love the TR's, and I only wish I had the time and resources to make contributions of my own to this great place. Happy B-Day, and Happy VD Day to one and all! -
Anybody else watch hockey? (Amazing VID INSIDE!!)
Movieguy replied to canada's topic in Random, Random, Random
I think you're right, now that I consider things more carefully...Hockey was always a niche sport at best, and it was foolish to even try to compete with other sports on their level...hopefully Betman will get the boot at some point, and a new guy will come in with the good sense to scale things back a little. America's TV sports coverage is bloated today anyway...I think Hockey always had most of its appeal as a low profile sport. -

I also remember seeing this ad from Japanese TV about this messed up looking walkthrough at another park...I think the park was called Kijima, or something similar.
