Drievliet - Duinrell new Rollercoaster.

I never cease to be amazed by these newer coasters with their ultra-steep first drops. Great photos, great TR. Always nice to see what's going on in other countries with coasters. -

Number 2 is a Vekoma SLC... I'm speechless... -
Well, I've been in line 90+ minutes for coasters like Raptor in the past, so I know I could stand a long wait for Farenheit.

I love looking through the photos people put up here, and you have some of the best I've ever seen. Thank you so much for sharing with us -
I mostly drink diet soda now, but I tried Pepsi throwback and loved it. Perhaps this is something they can bring back every summer, if the demand is high enough. High Fructose Corn Syrup may be cheaper, but it also has a very negative reputation, which I think has the potential to really hurt sales of non-diet soda, if it hasn't already. If it continues to deteriorate under public scrutiny, the soda companies may have no choice but to find an alternative.

Magnum’s new sign at Cedar Point!

That's another thing...I really didn't see what all the fuss about airtime was on coasters, until I finally rode the Phoenix last summer. Then I understood, immediately... Come to think of it, maybe it's a good thing I haven't been back to CP in some time. All that time on coasters like Phoenix probably spoiled me for Magnum and MF now. -
Star Trek 9/10 I was never a big fan of the Star Trek franchise, except for some of the movies, and TNG, but this reboot impressed me, big time. It'll be interesting to see what's in store for the future for the new crew of the Enterprise.

Well, most of the posters here seem to suggest heading to StormRunner first, which is what I'm going to do.

Wow! I love old finds like these. Thanks for sharing! Those pics of Mary on The Blue Streak are priceless. -
Well, I'm not sure how early I'll get to the park on Monday, since I'll be driving down from Upstate NY for 4 and a half hours, but I'll definitely apply the strategy for the following day I'll be there. I applied the same showing up early strategy to the week I spent in WDW in July 2005, and it worked beautifully.

Ohhhhh man...Bud and BBQ looks soooooooo good. I'd love to see what their ribs are like especially. I've been to BGE before, but it was in 2004 before Griffon was added. I absolutely adored the place, and I'd love to go back. But it was such hell driving down there, especially going through DC. -

I always thought Steel Force was just a Magnum clone...apparently, I was wrong. What exactly separates it from Magnum? -

You all make some good points. When I was a kid, I thought CP was the Ultimate park...but now I've been getting out there and seeing all the other great parks out there, ever since I got a car and a GPS. Maybe not as often as you guys all get to, but hey, I do my best. Last summer I saw Knoebels for the first time, and this summer I'll get to see Hershey ( I finally get to ride a CCI woodie. Yay!). Anyway, I was a little miffed at what Robb said at first, but after thinking about it, I can see where he's coming from. Magnum was my first memory of a really big coaster, so it has a little bit of nostalgic value for me. At the same time though, I've been getting out there, and trying things that are just as good, and even better than a lot of what I experienced at CP. Does that make me like CP any less? Absolutely not. My feelings on Magnum now...it's tough to tell, because like I said, I haven't been to CP in 7 years. It's obviously not much to rave about now, but back when I was young, it was a groundbreaker. That's probably why I still have a fondness for it despite its flaws. -

Now HERE's where we can agree. No matter how many coasters they add to CP, Gemini will always be at the top for me. When I was younger, my family always went to that coaster first. -

*Looks at the title change* Well, if having fond memories of a coaster that enthusiasts have come to dislike makes me a CP fanboy, then I guess I'm guilty as charged Doug "I haven't even been to CP in 7 years." Booth -
Well, I've got a fairly keen sense of smell, so I'll probably be able to detect it from across the park.
-
Hilarious! Especially since both my parents were from around Cleveland's rival, Pittsburgh.

Umm.... I rode Magnum for the first time in 1996. I probably hadn't been on any more than 50 to 60 coasters at that time. I didn't "get it" then either. --Robb "What does Expedition GeForce have to do with me not liking Magnum???" Alvey I was just trying to say that you've been on bigger and better coasters than magnum. GeForce was just a random example I threw in. I guess my Aspergers makes it tough for me to get my points across sometimes. I didn't know about 1996, though. If you didn't get it, fine. People are gonna like what they want to like, and dislike as well. Doug "By 96, you'd been on more coasters than I have in my entire life. " Booth -

Well, I don't think much of it today, I'll admit, but back in the day, I thought it was pretty impressive. Back when my late father, along with my mother, and sister, went to CP, we'd always hit the Magnum first, as tradition. Of course, I know that there are bigger, and better coaster out there now, but I didn't know that back then. Neither did my family, or a lot of other folks who came to CP. The reason Magnum has been consistently popular for so many years has been a combination of marketing, along with the fact that it, and MF, are the only hyper coasters a lot of people will be exposed to. We don't all get to constantly ride Expidition GeForce, you know. Not all of us are as fortunate as you, Robb. -
Kettle Corn too? My god, I'm getting even happier that I chose this place this year.
-
Oh, I'm definitely going to Chocolate World first when I get there. As long as the tour doesn't include a frightening trip through a psychedelic tunnel where they show chickens getting their heads chopped off, then I'm cool with it.
-
I'm definitely gonna hit Storm Runner first when I get to the park. As for crowds around Farenheit and Great Bear, I don't really mind waiting in line. I've been to CP quite a few times in the past, so I'm used to all that. Plus, I'll have my MP3 player with me, just like last year at Knoebels. (Don't worry, I know how to make sure nothing of mine gets lost or stolen. ) I'm gonna be leaving on the morning of the 13th as early as I can, cause it's a nearly 4 and a half hour drive to Hershey from Ithaca, according to my GPS. The Preview plan sounds promising too, so I'm gonna consider that as well.

I LOVE the BBQ! Thanks for the info. And thanks especially for your contributions, HPCrazy.

So on July 13th, I'll be heading down to Hershey Park for the first time ever. I've already made reservations, and I'll be staying at a motel nearby until the 15th. I've heard so many things about this park, and all the coasters inside of it. I'm psyched to ride as many as I can, but I also want to be prepared for such a big place. So, I want to ask anybody who's been to Hershey if there's a plan of attack for the day that I should follow? How does the parking work there? What should I go to first? What should I avoid? Where are the best food stands? What are the best times of day to ride? etc... Many thanks in advance to anyone who responds.
