  1. ^This. IOA when it opened was like DisneySeas. It was stunning. There was nothing else in the US like it. Now, it's really sad how they've let the place go. This is what annoys a lot of us. The park should really be in better shape than it is, given the money they're making. They shouldn't just focus on Potter, but the whole guest experience. dt
  2. My last two visits to the parks presented me with horrible operations and customer service, so much so that I really have no desire to return to these parks any time soon. It's blazing hot in FL, yet it's almost impossible to get something to drink early in the morning. Mythos's menu has been destroyed. Ride operations were pathetic (I was thinking Universal might have outsourced their employee training to Mount Olympus), and in general the parks seemed to be staffed by people that just don't care, especially at food locations. One would hope that they would take the increased profits from Pottertown and put them into the upkeep of the parks and making sure they're staffed with quality employees instead of lining the vaults of corporate executives, but so far this does not seem like it's the case. dt
  3. The image Elissa posted is likely of higher quality than ANY effects shot in this film! YOU CANNOT NOT WATCH THIS!!! dt
  4. I still say Universal would make a billion times more money if they ditched this Potter stuff and just let Elissa and I do our SyFy Saturday Night makeover to the place. There is no way people all over the world would not travel and spend an insane amount of money to ride a Sharktopus ride. No way. dt
  5. Wisconsin/Michigan State was easily the most entertaining game I watched all day. dt
  6. ^Yeah, that would be my "near death experience" too. I'm amazed that thing hasn't fallen apart yet, given the noises it was making. dt
  7. Easily the best gift anyone could get! Sharks are awesome! Glad everyone had a good time. The TPR Christmas party is always amazing fun! dt
  8. This might be the most true and accurate thing ever posted... dt
  9. I'm in. Ice Bat will help with the gift selection process... dt
  10. ^Yes, I also thought there would be more of those indoor skiing places built by now. Hopefully this will get built. dt
  11. Terrible news. This ride is total cheese, but it's totally fun cheese. It really shouldn't be replaced with more places to buy wands, but I'm sure that's what's coming. Ah well, hopefully the Jaws ride at the Japan park will never go anywhere. All I can say in tribute to one of the best experiences I've ever had at a park is SHARK SHARK SHARK SHARK SHARK SHARK SHARK SHARK SHARK. I will never forget that night. dt
  12. You had me at "lesser Baldwin Brother meet and greets every day"! This would be the greatest park ever! Seriously, you could make so many awesome attractions from SyFy movies. Turn stupid, worthless Twister into NYC: Tornado Terror! Make Waterworld into Mega Shark Vs. Giant Octopus! Turn Transformers into Sharktopus (Yeah, I know, it's not open yet, but seriously Sharktopus > anything in any Transformers movie ever)! Have the tran tour drive past a scene where a yeti yanks a guys leg off then beats him with it! The possibilities are endless!!! Seriously, why is Universal not hopping on our amazing ideas?!? Plus, we HAVE to be easier to work with than JK Rowling! dt
  13. Why they're using Harry Potter when they have much better franchises available is beyond me. Seriously, why are the not making the SyFy Saturday Night section for a park? You can't tell me that a Sharktopus ride would not be the greatest thing ever. Universal, you're sitting on an untapped goldmine! dt
  14. ^Word. B&M hasn't come close to anything remotely like the coasters you just listed in YEARS. Why everyone thinks that suddenly they re-discovered the "forces" button in their design software is beyond me. And the Earth will explode if Flying Turns opens next year. Or in the next decade... dt
  15. Leviathan. It's not going to be amazing, it's not going to be an "airtime machine" (B&M DOES NOT MAKE THESE), it's not going to be any different than the other coaster at the front of the park THAT IS EXACTLY LIKE IT, except taller. I still find this a mind-boggling decision to even install this ride where it is. Easily the most overhyped and overrated attraction of 2012. dt
  16. TRANSFORMERS WITH WANDS Water all over the monitor. You get a cookie for that. dt
  17. This is awesome news. Will be very curious to try this out next year. dt
  18. Nothing wrong with that. +1 dt
  19. Freak Kitchen - Teargas Jazz dt
  20. This is seriously one of the greatest things ever posted to this site. Thanks so much for taking the time to go out for a visit and returning with so many great photos. I look forward to watching this plan come together and visiting the place some day. dt
  21. Aramanthe - Hunger dt
  22. Great photos! The park looks amazing. I don't think I'll have a chance to check this out this year, but your PTR has tempted me to see if I can make it. dt
  23. This has been an epic of epicness. Ice Bat & I approve. dt
  24. That pizza looked really good! I'll have to remember this if I'm ever in the area. dt
