I was told the cookies "were not very good" so I didn't eat any. I guess the dough didn't turn out very well. They were just wrapped up and saved because they were awesome to look at! dt

So, let's start the week off with the final batch of Ice Bat's Favorite Photos Of 2011. First, let's re-cap the Top Ten: #10 - WHEN ICE BAT MET SHARKTOPUS! #9 - Shawn is awesome, and also wins the award for HAT OF THE YEAR! #8 - This is my awesome friend Amber. She hung out with us the entire day at the SFNE day of the North East trip. Anyone that can spend that much time around me must be very, very special, or at least very well equipped to deal with a wide variety of nonsense... #7 - ICE BAT COMMANDS A NEW ARMY OF MINIONS!!! #6 - Ice Bat has a new favorite store! #5 - Perhaps the greatest piece of art EVER! #4 - This was taken at a Denny's. I must really love them... #3 - As long as she is alive, The Su will make this list every year! Seriously one of my most favorite people EVER. #2 - MESS WITH ICE BAT AND HE WILL SEND ONE OF HIS MINIONS TO DEAL WITH YOU!!! And there was a tie for #1, as both of these rule for different reasons... #1 - I got this for my car. It pleases me greatly. #1 - When Deena Met Ice Bat. First time she came over to my house, and I cooked a meal for us. She is awesome, and puts up with my nonsense. I have no idea why... So there's the Top Ten! Here are some photos that didn't make the cut, but are still awesome for various reasons... I suck at photography, but occasionally I can actually take a decent picture. This is one of them. This would have easily made the Top Ten if she was holding Ice Bat, but still, I feel this picture perfectly captures the awesomeness that is KerryB. Easily one of my most favorite people on Earth, we hung out for the entire NE trip this year and spent a lot of time talking about True Blood and zombie movies. Really one of the nicest, funniest, smartest and hottest women I have ever met. She rules! The expression Piers has here is very similar to the one any woman gets if I speak to her... Sharktopus finds Amber particularly delicious This is the sort of advice that Ice Bat always follows This is Nikki. She is awesome, and will be my hot tasering assistant in the upcoming "Dave Tasers America", which will premiere later this year. These are two of my very best friends in the world, Kelli Owen and Bob Ford. I love them to death, even if occasionally I want to clock one (or both) in the skull with a hammer Amber in her Freddy costume. Ice Bat approves of hot girls dressed as psychotic killers. When Ice Bat met Amy (Spicypixi) This is one of the MANY reasons you go to TPR events! No one at the event had to wait this long to ride the New Texas Giant! The most dangerous book ever printed! So terrifying, it caused a woman to dump me just because I had it on my coffee table. True story. A really good friend's daughter, on her graduation day. She used to come over to my house when I lived in San Francisco and chase my cats around. Time flies... WHICH WICH RULES!!!! I want to move to the country of Cheese! Renee is awesome. Even if she hates me... Ice Bat meets Wonderpup! And Amy! Two years later, Ice Bat finally gets his picture taken with Melissa! And finally, we end the year with ICE BAT COOKIES!!! I just can't work up any enthusiasm about tonight's game. I'm sure I'll have the TV on, but will likely be doing something else. I'm just not really interested in either team, and would be fine with either one winning. dt

The same could be said about most theme park companies, outside of Disney. And of most Americans in general, sadly. Parks should hire me as a food consultant. I know I could improve their offerings so much. Most park food in the US isn't fit to serve to prisoners. dt

Last night, I went out to eat at one of the finest restaurants in Baltimore, if not the world: Woodberry Kitchen. This place is so good, it makes the Washington "Best Restaurant List"! Last year they said, "why is there a Baltimore restaurant on our list? Because there's nothing like this in DC!". WK features dishes all made from fresh local ingredients, with a constantly changing menu based on whatever is in season. I've eaten here five times or so, and have never had anything that wasn't sensational. I highly recommend this place, though I must warn you getting reservations here is difficult, as it's not a huge place (you often have to take a table before 6 PM or after 9 PM, as there's just nothing else available). Anyway, enough of my yammering, let's go to the visuals! Where could we be?!? Let's get a bottle of Woodhall, made right here in Maryland. It's very tasty! Rockfish in the raw! I have never had raw rockfish before, and it was excellent. Mmmmmm...crab dip! Shrimp & Grits. One of my favorite dishes anywhere, and this version was one of the best ever. The shrimp were extra-tasty & fresh. And behold the glory of...THE CHOCOLATE BOMB! All the desserts here are spectacular (I only order desserts at a place that makes their own stuff), but this was probably in the Top Five Best Desserts ever. Different kinds of chocolate, including a cocoa gelato, combine to make an amazing treat! Hope you enjoyed this. ^In my almost 50 years of existence, that was seriously one of the greatest moments on any ride ever for me. For one brief moment, everyone bought into my insanity and joined in the chant. I so wish someone had this on video, as it was an amazing moment. dt

You also have to realize that this won't be used just against sites that have "pirated" material. How quickly do you think our government would shut down something like Wikileaks if they had the power to do so? This law would allow them to do just that. As I've said in other places, it's not about piracy, it's about control. dt

This is a sad day. I always liked the Jaws ride, and will never, ever forget our epic ride at HHN a few years ago, when we all did the SHARK SHARK SHARK chat throughout the whole ride. Robb, thank you so much for that video and the detailed photo report of the ride. Very well done. Sharks rule! dt

It's time to announce... ICE BAT 365! Yes, that's right, 2012 will be the year of Ice Bat updates here on TPR. Every day for this year, there will be some sort of update in this thread. These will include (but are not limited to): - Trip Reports from TPR trips/events, past and present - Trip Reports from random other activities that we get up to - Food updates! - Random Ice Bat photos (usually involving food and/or cleavage) - Contests! And much more! Some days might only be one photo, some days might be a whole bunch, but there will be new content every day! Unless space monkeys come and destroy us all or something...can't really stop that. And, oh yes, Sharktopus will be assisting! So prepare thyselves for excitement! Enjoy the Year Of Ice Bat! dt

I did not see very many movies this year. From your list, the only two I saw were Insidious and Super, both of which I enjoyed a lot. I also liked Super 8 and Sucker Punch. A lot of movies I saw were just "OK" (Thor, Conan) at best. I am planning on seeing The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo in the next week or so, which I'll probably enjoy. I rarely go to the movies any more, and just wait for stuff to come out on DVD or be on the OnDemand on my Fios, so I don't have to deal with idiots. The only thing I can think of for 2012 that's going to make me go out to see a movie is Prometheus. dt

Yes. While this law is absolutely 100% evil, will do NOTHING to stop piracy, and is pretty much going to put the US internet into a state that is very similar to China's or Iran's version, yeah, it will get challenged in court about .00005 seconds after it's passed. There is so much about it that is fundamentally wrong that it won't survive a court challenge. The big entertainment companies couldn't sue YouTube out of existence, so now they're trying this. Hopefully wiser heads will prevail and this will go away... dt
